00:00 him Keyshawn Davis trying to get himself to 9-0 and make another statement.
00:03 Gentlemen, you both had your instructions, so you know what I expect.
00:06 A clean championship fight, obey my commands, and protect yourself at all times.
00:11 Touch gloves, good luck to both of you.
00:13 I can't wait for Keyshawn Davis to come out.
00:22 He told us in the fighter meeting yesterday exactly what he's going to do.
00:25 He said he was going to come out and put the heat on Patera right away, right from the
00:31 opening bell.
00:32 Let's see if he stays true to that.
00:35 What's the opposite in Francesco Patera?
00:38 Patera's a boxer, savvy boxer, fights off his back foot.
00:42 You know, sneaky.
00:43 If you allow him to gain confidence, if you allow him to start getting in his rhythm and
00:47 finding his mark, he can become somewhat of a sore thumb in there.
00:51 Has a lot of experience against top opposition and tests.
00:55 In the fighter meetings, in the fighter meeting we had yesterday, he had a lot of confidence
01:01 going into this fight.
01:02 He's got a lot of experience, to your point.
01:04 Seven times he has gone the 12-round distance.
01:09 This 10-round co-feature before we get to the return of George Kambosis.
01:12 He's going up against the veteran from England, Maxie Hughes, in an IBF title eliminator.
01:17 Davis, the 2021 Olympic silver medalist.
01:27 Davis has been fast-tracked and has been so impressive.
01:37 He came out with a statement last time.
01:39 He said, "Listen, I don't want any more development kind of fights."
01:41 Sitting here at 24 years old.
01:44 You know, Timmy, we think of him a certain way because obviously he stayed in the amateurs
01:49 to get to the Olympics and win the silver medal in '21.
01:52 And he's the same age as Devin Haney.
01:55 Yeah, I understand that.
01:57 And Devin Haney has accomplished a lot, but Devin Haney, he started his career off when
02:02 he was 16 years old in Mexico.
02:05 So he has a ton of experience.
02:07 And he's kind of built his resume up.
02:10 Whereas Keishon Davis, what's the rush for?
02:12 Honestly, take your time.
02:14 You know, build your market, build your fan base.
02:16 Because when you get to that title shot and you become a world champion, you want to be
02:20 selling out arenas.
02:23 Double jab, straight right hand was able to split the guard against Patera.
02:27 Yeah, you can see the speed already.
02:31 Starting to take control of this fight.
02:34 Patera already is just basically right now trying to find an opportunity to land a shot.
02:39 Keishon is putting a lot of pressure on him, which is physical pressure and also mental
02:43 pressure and hitting him upside his head at the same time.
02:46 So Patera is dealing with a whole lot right now.
02:48 And Keishon is staying relaxed, poised, under control, and just picking his spots wisely.
02:58 Good combination right there from Patera.
03:01 Nothing landed at all.
03:05 I'm pretty sure it put some sort of impression on the judges' faces.
03:29 End of round one of our co-feature, Keishon Davis, Francesco Patera, a night of light
03:35 weights.
03:36 And Timmy, what is now a significant light weight fight will be coming up in our main
03:39 event as George Cambosis goes up against Maxie Hughes.
03:42 And an opportunity for the former Undisputed champ to get right back in the mix and fight
03:46 for a title.
03:47 Yeah, but you know, Cambosis has to rewrite that narrative that's been pinned on him,
03:51 saying that he's not a quality fighter.
03:55 He can't fight at the elite level.
03:56 See, tonight, he's going to have to show that tonight against Maxie Hughes.
03:59 Maxie Hughes is a slick boxer, you know, coming over from Europe, can fight on the inside,
04:04 can fight on the outside, boxes extremely well from the outside, uses his straight punches
04:08 to the jab.
04:09 Now, if you have, if Cambosis can't figure this guy out, then he's not going to be able
04:13 to contend in this division.
04:15 Let's check in with Mark Creagle.
04:16 Good evening, Mark.
04:17 Good evening, fellas.
04:18 My question is, who's the real George Cambosis?
04:22 Was it the guy who upset Tiafema Lopez at Madison Square Garden?
04:27 Was it the guy who struggled to win at home in Australia two fights against Devin Haney?
04:33 He wants Lomachenko, but he's going to have to get through a crafty Maxie Hughes tonight.
04:39 Will we see him be a champion again?
04:41 Will he be fodder for young lions such as this Keyshawn Davis?
04:45 Yeah, that's who's in the ring right now, round number two against Patera.
04:51 Patera now has changed his game plan.
04:52 Now he's coming after Keyshawn.
04:55 Last round he was fighting off his back foot.
04:59 Now he's deciding to put a little bit more offense up, maybe step on the tempo, but what's
05:02 that going to do is that's going to open him up.
05:05 Keyshawn is a counterpuncher, a natural counterpuncher.
05:10 He can fight off his front foot, he can fight off his back foot, he can do a little bit
05:13 of everything.
05:14 There's a two-division world champion, Shakur Stevenson, who just entered the building as
05:18 he's walking past our set and making his way ringside.
05:22 Talking about stars in the lightweight division, Shakur Stevenson could greatly benefit from
05:27 the news we're hearing about Devin Haney.
05:29 We will talk to Shakur a little later on.
05:36 Keyshawn's the type of fighter to take his time.
05:38 He's not going to rush things.
05:40 I know what he told us in the fighter meeting.
05:42 He came out aggressive, but he didn't land too much offense being aggressive.
05:46 He's in there with a savvy veteran in Patera, but he takes his time.
05:52 Once he starts finding his mark and he starts to break down Patera little by little, you'll
05:57 see more and more offense coming from him.
06:05 Placing that right hand to the body, he's targeting that body for a moment as Davis.
06:09 See, but Patera, he needs to get on his jab.
06:14 The space between the two, there's nothing being occupied.
06:17 You know, if he uses his jabs, now he gives Keyshawn something to worry about.
06:29 Good body shot right there on the exit.
06:32 Keyshawn backed up.
06:33 Patera came with the right hand.
06:34 See, but that's cutting off the ring, believe it or not.
06:37 You're punching where your opponent is going.
06:40 That's a part of cutting off the ring.
06:45 You can corral your opponent by stepping in front of him and put him in against the ropes,
06:50 or you can punch where he's going.
06:57 See how calm Davis is defensively on that last exchange.
07:06 Utilizing the jab himself.
07:07 Well, that's the reason why he feels that he's ready for 12 rounds, is so he remains
07:12 so calm in there.
07:13 He can turn it up when he wants to.
07:16 Right now, he's playing mind games.
07:18 That's what he's doing.
07:19 He's playing mind games with Patera.
07:20 Patera's coming forward now, trying to get aggressive and trying to just change the tempo.
07:24 Get your hands ready.
07:25 Put the heat on the young man.
07:26 Step back, you guys.
07:28 But Davis doing a good job right there, showing that he's tactically savvy and tying up Patera
07:32 and not allowing him to work.
07:37 He's up two.
07:53 He pushed that jab up and down.
07:54 Okay.
07:55 Hey, yeah, you kicking his ass with a jab.
08:00 Don't let this motherfucker get no courage to start backing you up.
08:02 If you do so going backwards, that's because you see something.
08:05 You see a box, but you can't technically box him.
08:08 I'm going to do it.
08:09 I'm going to be in-club to give it up.
08:10 Let me watch the video.
08:11 Hey, once you get to the ropes, once you get to the ropes, start using your face up and
08:12 down.
08:13 So you can open up, okay?
08:14 You got it?
08:15 Top-ranked boxing on ESPN is presented by AutoZone.
08:30 Get in the zone.
08:32 And in part by Geico.
08:35 See how easy it is to bundle all your insurance needs.
08:39 Shawnee, Oklahoma, home to tonight's lightweight action.
08:44 Our co-feature right now, Keyshawn Davis and Francesco Patera.
08:49 And then of course, our lightweight title eliminator, a huge opportunity for Maxie Hughes
08:54 and George Kambosis to end up in the top two in the IBF.
09:00 Davis with a 20-10 connect advantage as we begin round number three.
09:06 Davis using the first down in defense, Tess.
09:08 He's just using his legs, getting out of range, letting Patera fall short with his shots.
09:14 And just looking for some openings.
09:19 Bernardo Asuna, of course, our ace ringside reporter.
09:21 What are they saying in the corner of Patera?
09:24 I just spoke with his brother, Biaggio, and he told me, "Look, I want my brother to keep
09:29 boxing.
09:30 I want him to make sure that his opponent is not able to just get one shot off because
09:35 that's what he's looking for.
09:36 So if we keep pressuring him and bring up the pace of the fight, that's going to work
09:40 in our favor."
09:41 Like what we just saw moments ago, even though nothing was landed, just tripling up the jab
09:45 can be somewhat effective.
09:46 Yeah, it definitely can.
09:48 I mean, it gives him a sense of confidence.
09:50 At the same time, he's letting his hands go and you see your opponent not letting his
09:53 hands go.
09:55 I've got to say, Keyshawn is just being calculated tonight.
10:00 Not sure if he's having a hard time finding the rhythm of Patera, but he found his mark
10:05 right there, I have to say.
10:06 Well, isn't it interesting how he can switch gears there?
10:09 Just in that moment, he can close the gap, he can give angles, and he can get the shots
10:14 off.
10:15 Yes.
10:16 Great eyes, great vision.
10:18 He does.
10:19 And he's very twitchy, too.
10:21 He is a quick twitch athlete.
10:23 There's a right hand to the body that was effective.
10:24 But Patera's not bad also.
10:27 He's well put together, he's got his hands up, looks like a real pro, has a ton of experience.
10:32 He's in there trying, he's just getting outgunned in spots.
10:36 More the technical thing.
10:37 He's getting beat technically right now.
10:40 Patera hasn't lost in his last ten fights.
10:42 He was in against Edis Tatley in 2017.
10:48 Lost by split decision then.
10:49 Of course, we saw Tatley at Madison Square Garden just a couple years later.
10:55 First fight in the United States, lives in Belgium.
10:58 His family's originally from Italy, and he was born and raised in Belgium.
11:05 That's it right there, Tess.
11:06 I mean, the jab.
11:07 I'm not seeing a whole lot of jabs coming from Keyshawn.
11:11 And when he uses his jab, it lands.
11:17 All right, we're going to do a little warm up.
11:40 All right, we'll sit down.
11:49 Tens of thousands of customers wrote about Carvana being fast in their five star reviews.
11:54 An experienced QPC eater knows you should never let the...
11:59 If you thought one napkin for the quarter pounder with cheese was enough.
12:04 If you thought one napkin for the quarter pounder with cheese was enough.
12:12 Did you know that people...
12:13 Question, what should you do once this ad is over?
12:16 Answer, ESPN Fantasy Football.
12:18 This is the fight everybody wants to see.
12:29 Give us baseball's next level superstars.
12:39 Sunday night baseball, Sundays at 7, all season long on ESPN.
12:45 Defeated Keyshawn Davis against Francesco Fateros.
12:47 We begin round number four.
12:50 Mark Riegel, how do you score it early?
12:51 I got three rounds to none for Keyshawn.
12:55 Look, Keyshawn's a notoriously impatient fighter when it comes to his career.
12:59 He's been very patient tonight.
13:02 He's got Patera chasing him.
13:04 Patera's not a chaser.
13:06 And when Patera misses, he misses by a lot, which tells me that Keyshawn has a really
13:11 fair handle on how to maintain distance.
13:15 Notoriously impatient, Mark describes him like last...
13:18 This past April when we saw him win by TKO against a former title challenger in Anthony
13:23 Higa, and he immediately called for a title shot.
13:25 Immediately called for a title shot.
13:28 Listen, he passes the eye test, but there isn't a need for that right away.
13:32 Although when you see the talent and when you see what he's capable of, you understand
13:35 why people talk about him the way they do.
13:37 I just want to know why he's fighting back foot most of this fight or this round so far.
13:43 Keyshawn, you know, you're fighting against a boxer.
13:47 You know, somebody's going to have to choose who's going to fight.
13:50 Who's going to sit on the back foot and counter, and occasionally move forward, or who's going
13:55 to fight.
13:57 Right now we're starting to see some eye offense from Keyshawn.
14:06 But again, no jabs, a lot of weight, and a lot of posing.
14:09 And there's a live look of what is going on in the locker room of the recent undisputed
14:13 lightweight champion, George Kambosis, surrounded by his family.
14:17 His great pride in his family, a Greek Aussie.
14:21 He's got that Spartan War cry tattooed across his back.
14:25 Never retreat, never surrender.
14:27 And he is in a position in his career now where there will be no retreat.
14:32 Of course, after pulling off one of the great upsets in recent years when he beat Teofimo
14:36 Lopez, and then the back-to-back fights against Devin Haney, giving way of the four belts.
14:41 And now in a position with news we're getting that there's the expectation that Haney moves
14:46 to 140 pounds, the dominoes fall, the lightweight division belts open back up.
14:51 This a title eliminator, so he could be in contention to fight for a title again soon,
14:56 if he can get past Maxie Hughes in our main event.
15:02 Keyshawn coming forward, just missed with the right hand.
15:04 Yeah, this is quintessential Keyshawn Davis.
15:07 This is the way he approaches every single fight.
15:10 He takes his time, he's patient.
15:13 As he starts feeling his man, starting to come down with energy a little bit, then he
15:18 presses on the gas pedal.
15:20 But I think Patera, he's here to win.
15:24 Oh, absolutely.
15:25 Speaking with him in the fighter meeting, he told us that he trained for this fight.
15:28 He knew sooner or later he was going to get in the ring with Keyshawn.
15:30 He says, "I have the experience."
15:32 But there you go.
15:33 Here comes Keyshawn.
15:34 Four-punch combination, picking up the pace just a little bit.
15:38 Patera tries to rally back, closing moments in round number four.
15:41 It would be right back with the lunging left hand.
15:50 If you thought one napkin for the quarter pounder with cheese was enough, it's not enough.
16:05 Tens of thousands of customers wrote about Carvana being fast in their five-star reviews,
16:09 including Sheena.
16:10 This was our second purchase through Carvana.
16:12 It was super easy and really fast.
16:15 This time we traded in a car and couldn't believe how easy it was.
16:19 And we found the car our family really needed and in red.
16:22 Next thing I know, our new car was here and our trade-in was gone.
16:26 Bye.
16:27 Ta-da.
16:28 I literally tell people all the time how fast and easy Carvana is.
16:32 Buy your car with Carvana today.
16:34 Steve?
16:35 My name is Steve too.
16:38 Question.
16:39 How can you relate to just about anyone?
16:40 ESPN Fantasy Football.
16:41 Hey, do you like Jefferson this week?
16:43 Oh, that's a good call, Steve.
16:46 You'll see that great work on that split box during the commercial break of what Keyshawn
16:51 Davis was able to do in the final minute against Patera.
16:54 He outlanded him 18 to 5 in that round according to CompuBox.
16:59 The CompuBox numbers, the superlatives when it comes to Keyshawn Davis have been something.
17:05 Early on in his career, this is fight number nine.
17:07 He's never been outlanded in terms of total connects in now all 46 rounds as a pro.
17:14 I got it.
17:15 I got it.
17:16 Step back.
17:17 No, honestly, I mean, you can see the professionalism in Keyshawn.
17:23 No, no, no.
17:24 Be careful.
17:25 Don't punch.
17:26 And the dedication from this young man, you know, in the training.
17:31 I can see his defense is getting a lot better.
17:33 Defensive skills are getting a lot better.
17:34 That's a point of emphasis tonight.
17:36 Every time you go to the corner, you're going to listen in to Brian McIntyre, his trainer,
17:39 also the trainer of welterweight champion, Bud Crawford.
17:42 He says, just keep the defense tight, especially when you're going back.
17:46 Keep those hands up.
17:47 The thing is, it's like when you're watching the Keyshawn fight, you're sitting here and
17:51 you're saying, OK, what's special about the kid?
17:53 What's special about the kid?
17:54 You know, you see the arsenal, but you don't see nothing really glaring at you.
17:58 And then all of a sudden, when he chooses to turn it on, something magical just happens.
18:05 I'm just waiting for that moment to happen right now, Tess, in any of these rounds.
18:11 Look at the confidence he's using.
18:25 The upper body movement, using his legs defensively, able to get out of the way of anything Patera
18:30 put forth.
18:31 Yeah, reflexes as well.
18:32 Great vision.
18:33 But see, when Patera misses with all those shots, that takes something out of him.
18:37 Yes, it does.
18:38 He's throwing punches, shadowboxing at the air.
18:40 He's not hitting anything.
18:41 That energy's not going anywhere.
18:42 And now Keyshawn pushing pull.
18:44 Now Keyshawn is pushing forward now.
18:47 That was up a left uppercut.
18:50 He's had success when he's had them up against the ropes, and Patera decides to cover up.
18:54 Now back to the center of the ring.
19:03 And here, Bomek saying, "Take the speed up on him."
19:11 Good shots right there from Patera.
19:13 Caught Keyshawn out of position, playing around a little bit.
19:17 He just let those hands go.
19:19 He caught him with that right hand.
19:21 He was over-leaning to that right side shoulder roll, and he decided, "Okay, I'll close the
19:25 gap on that if it's not going to be a threat."
19:28 Yes.
19:29 No knockdown.
19:30 You good?
19:31 Keep it here.
19:32 He's still cleaning things up after that slip against the ropes.
19:34 Great.
19:35 Don't punch.
19:36 Step back.
19:42 Coming to the halfway point of our co-feature here in Oklahoma.
19:47 Time.
19:48 Time.
19:49 Don't punch.
19:50 If you thought one napkin for the quarter pounder with cheese was enough, it's not enough.
19:59 Thursday Night Thunder is back.
20:23 Green flag, and we're racing in the Camping World SRX Series.
20:27 For each one of these drivers, it's also going to be an awful lot of fun testing themselves
20:31 against the superstars of racing.
20:33 Season three only on ESPN.
20:35 This is the fight everybody wants to see.
20:36 Have you ever seen anything like Justin Gates?
20:37 Buckle your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen.
20:50 Joe Tessitore and Tim Bradley back with you ringside here at the Fire Lake Arena in Shawnee,
20:56 Oklahoma.
20:57 We're racing on ESPN.
20:58 A very good stretch of boxing coming your way as we're in the midst of seeing Keyshawn
21:02 Davis at the halfway mark against Francesco Patera with a 62 to 31 connect advantage.
21:10 Doubling him up, we told you he has a superb CompuBox mark.
21:16 He came into this with a 4.9 to 1 ratio of outlanding his opponents so far early in his
21:22 career.
21:23 He's at the halfway mark, and I think any time you get these rising star prospects,
21:28 fringe contenders, and you think about the levels today and who they're in against, how
21:32 much of a test is Patera in your mind to this point?
21:35 He has a ton of experience, and that's what you're seeing right now.
21:39 I think Keyshawn is surprised of how well and how savvy Patera is.
21:44 He has him running on his back foot, getting out in spots, making him uncomfortable, catching
21:49 him with spots.
21:50 Though needless to say, he's suspected.
21:54 See what's coming your way Tuesday.
21:56 Mentioned what a big stretch it is for boxing and top-ranked boxing on ESPN.
22:00 It doesn't get better than that.
22:01 Tuesday morning, July 25th, Stephen Fulton against Naoya Inouye.
22:06 Fulton, of course, the unified champion at 122 pounds.
22:10 Inouye, arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, the undisputed champion
22:14 at 118.
22:15 Moving up, and they decide to fight each other right away.
22:19 That fight will come your way Tuesday morning.
22:22 It's in Tokyo, so it'll be 4.30 a.m. Eastern time.
22:25 We'll begin the fight coverage.
22:27 We think approximately 8 a.m. Eastern time will be the title fight between Cool Boy Steph
22:35 and the monster Naoya Inouye.
22:37 Cannot wait for that fight.
22:40 He's special.
22:42 Both those guys are special, Fulton and Inouye.
22:45 We're going to find out who's the best between those two.
22:49 So soon.
22:50 We know fight fans will be getting up early.
22:51 A breakfast with the monster and Cool Boy Steph.
22:54 By the way, if you can't see it at that hour, we get it.
22:57 It's a Tuesday morning.
22:58 The fight's in Tokyo, prime time.
23:00 If you can't see it at that hour, the fight will be available to you on ESPN+.
23:05 So you want to watch it a little later on?
23:08 Get home.
23:09 Fulton, Inouye, just go to ESPN+ for a full replay of that fight on Tuesday, July 25th.
23:16 That's right, Fulton.
23:19 There have been some moments from Patera.
23:21 Yes, yes.
23:23 Sneaky left hook.
23:30 And now the combination starts upstairs and finishes to the body.
23:33 But Patera's been game.
23:35 He's willing to step right into that kitchen just through the right hand moments ago.
23:38 But that's what happens when you're playing around.
23:40 You're playing around and you're goofing off and you're not being serious and you're not
23:44 fighting.
23:45 You lose, you leave room for mistakes.
23:48 Obey the bell here.
23:49 Patera doing a good job of taking advantage of that.
23:56 Tens of thousands of customers wrote about Carvana being easy in their five-star reviews,
24:01 including Eric.
24:02 The whole process was really simple and easy.
24:05 And this is my third time selling to Carvana.
24:07 So I can practically do it from memory now.
24:10 You just enter your license plate, pour your VIN, answer a few questions, boom, you get
24:14 a real offer.
24:16 True story.
24:17 Still shocking how easy it was to sell my car to Carvana.
24:23 Sell your car to Carvana today.
24:25 It's that New York City buzz.
24:32 It's the spark for the crowd.
24:35 It's seeing the stars and feeling like one.
24:40 Punch of the night is brought to you by AutoZone.
24:42 Timmy, we had a heavyweight fight that got attention.
24:46 And what a win by Joe Goodall, the upset of Stephen Shaw.
24:50 Seventh round, sixth round, TKO.
24:53 Beautiful left hook right there from Goodall.
24:57 Great finish.
24:58 Give me a clean round, guys.
25:00 Keep it clean.
25:01 That is the punch of the night.
25:02 And right now we are in round number seven.
25:05 Keyshawn Davis, that moment he has been testing tonight from the veteran, the 30-year-old
25:09 28-win veteran Francesco Patera.
25:12 Davis, the U.S. Olympic silver medalist, came in 8-0 in a red-hot division.
25:21 I mean, it's a lightweight division, Tim, at every level of it, whether it's the undisputed
25:27 title fights we've seen recently, the contenders.
25:30 Shakur Stevenson is sitting here ringside tonight.
25:33 All the way through the prospects.
25:34 At every level of 135 pounds, the lightweight division is delivering.
25:39 It's on fire.
25:40 The best division in boxing.
25:41 By far.
25:42 Bernardo, what is Bomac saying in the corner of Keyshawn Davis?
25:48 He wants Keyshawn to get busier because he said, look, Patera over the last couple rounds
25:52 has landed some BS shots that look really good for the judges, so we've got to correct
25:57 that and get active.
25:58 See, and that's exactly what he needs to do.
26:01 You know, he was allowing Patera to let his hands go.
26:02 Yes, he was missing, but sooner or later something got in there.
26:05 What Keyshawn needs to do is he needs to counter some of those shots, and if he counters often,
26:10 then he'll shut down Patera.
26:19 Right hand to the body, then came upstairs.
26:22 You hear Bomac saying, two and three off the jab.
26:30 See if he comes with that right cross, left hook finish.
26:33 They're getting some work, there's a short counter right hand from Keyshawn Davis.
26:37 Now doubling up that jab as he sends Patera back.
26:50 Patera just looking for the low points in the offense of Keyshawn, that's it.
26:54 Just fill those gaps.
26:55 That's it.
26:56 That's all he's looking for.
26:57 Keyshawn needs to get a little bit more on his offense.
27:03 He's starting to pour it on now and putting the pressure on Patera.
27:05 See, and that's what you want to do.
27:07 You want to drain your man physically and also psychologically as well by putting the
27:12 pressure on him.
27:14 Making him make mistakes, forcing those mistakes out of him.
27:17 Good shot right there.
27:19 There's a one-two.
27:20 The right hand over the top was able to land for Davis.
27:25 A ton of missed opportunities for Keyshawn to counter.
27:29 Patera's giving him those opportunities, but Keyshawn is not pulling the trigger on him.
27:37 Good stab jab down to the body right there.
27:49 Got Patera's attention.
27:51 That's one way to slow down your opposition.
27:54 That hurt him.
27:55 He's got to get that back pedal and get that hurt.
27:56 Yes, there's no doubt about it.
28:01 An experienced QPC eater knows you should never let the ketchup that falls from the
28:06 hot and juicy burger go to waste.
28:16 Tens of thousands of customers wrote about Carvana being fast in their five-star reviews,
28:20 including Sheena.
28:21 This was our second purchase through Carvana.
28:23 It was super easy and really fast.
28:25 This time we traded in a car and couldn't believe how easy it was.
28:29 And we found the car our family really needed and in red.
28:33 Next thing I know, our new car was here and our trade-in was gone.
28:37 Bye!
28:38 Ta-da!
28:39 I literally tell people all the time how fast and easy Carvana is.
28:43 Buy your car with Carvana today.
28:45 Steve?
28:46 My name is Steve too!
28:48 Question, how can you relate to just about anyone?
28:50 ESPN Fantasy Football.
28:52 Hey, do you like Jefferson this week?
28:54 Oh, that's a good call, Steve.
29:00 Back here in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Keyshawn Davis with a 91-41 connect advantage.
29:08 That stab jab to the body that you pointed out at the end of the last round.
29:11 Yeah, and in herpetaria, you know, I saw the reaction.
29:14 You know, body language tells you everything.
29:16 You see that right arm right there, tucked down to his side.
29:19 That tells you right there that he hurt him with that shot.
29:21 And then the five steps backwards to follow it up.
29:24 Just creates some distance there.
29:25 We'll try to walk that off.
29:26 Mark Kregel, what's your card say?
29:29 Mike, shout out, 7-0.
29:40 At the end of the fifth round, Bomax told Keyshawn, "Hey, you've got to dominate the
29:48 entire round."
29:50 I saw five and six get closer and closer.
29:52 I think that one of the things that Keyshawn's coming up against is not just a lack of complete
29:58 aggression but something with imagination.
30:00 He needs just a little bit more here.
30:01 He has to dominate the entire round if he wants to send the right statement.
30:05 Mark, you mentioned rounds five and six.
30:07 He was raising up the pace of his action up to the fourth round through 51 punches but
30:13 then came down a little bit in round five and six, throwing 37 and 39 punches in those
30:18 two rounds.
30:20 Round number eight here now scheduled for 10.
30:22 Then we will have our main event.
30:24 Maxie Hughes taking on George Kambosis, a lightweight title eliminator.
30:28 Of course, come Tuesday morning, it is the unified junior featherweight champion.
30:34 Stephen Fulton taking on the ultimate challenge when he goes up against the monster.
30:39 For many, pound for pound the number one fighter in the world.
30:42 In a way, that is on ESPN Plus early Tuesday morning.
30:45 Two right hands from Davis.
30:49 He's starting to find his mark now.
30:50 Got his timing down.
30:51 He's got Patera exactly where he needs him.
30:55 Oh, and he scores the knockdown.
31:00 Just like you said, when he decides to go for it, he finds it.
31:08 Fifty seconds left in round number eight.
31:12 He's showing, let's see how he closes against a veteran like this.
31:20 Staying calm right now, not rushing into things after scoring the knockdown.
31:24 Throws to the body.
31:27 Goes with the left hook underneath.
31:30 Half a minute to go in round number eight.
31:33 Patera floored moments ago.
31:36 Now the head shots upstairs.
31:38 Took to the body at the end of that combination.
31:42 Patera firing back.
31:43 Double jab right hand of his own.
31:46 Hosting his key, Sean, with the left looking to fire the right to the body.
31:54 Patera gamely fighting right to the bell after being floored.
31:58 Blood coming from his nose.
32:23 This is exactly what I was talking about.
32:24 You see the defense right there in front of young man Keyshawn Davis.
32:28 Just rolling his shoulders.
32:30 Letting that right hand go.
32:32 Shoulder roll.
32:33 Beautiful right hand.
32:34 Catching Patera on his way in.
32:36 Standing with his right hand.
32:37 Look at that.
32:38 Textbook.
32:39 That is textbook.
32:40 Textbook Floyd Mayweather shoulder roll.
32:42 When we say shoulder roll right hand, and Shakur knows, they are great friends.
32:52 Shoulder roll.
32:53 He's been working with Jim all the time together with Brian "Bo Mac" McIntyre and that Terrence
32:59 "Bud" Crawford team.
33:03 That was as good as it gets.
33:04 The shoulder roll right hand to score the knockdown in round number eight.
33:09 In round number eight, a fight high 27 punches landed.
33:13 68 thrown.
33:14 18 of those connects were power punches.
33:17 So Keyshawn Davis in complete control here.
33:22 What I like in the demeanor of Patera is that although he did get dropped in that last round,
33:30 he's coming out and he's being the aggressor.
33:32 That's experience.
33:34 He's not allowing Keyshawn to set up shop on him and gain any more confidence after
33:39 that last round.
33:40 So he's stepping to him and giving him something to worry about.
33:43 He said I will not be intimidated by this challenge.
33:45 I came here to the states to show myself.
33:48 He just caught another right hand.
33:50 You can see some markings around under the eyes, blood coming from the nose.
33:54 Another combination of finishes to the body, but still he's trying to fire back.
34:01 Patera is still dangerous.
34:08 Still got some heavy shots.
34:10 Technique hasn't went by the wayside yet.
34:13 Still throwing some left hooks and looping right hands and he's trying to time Keyshawn.
34:17 He wants him to get over Angels or he's trying to catch him in between his punches.
34:30 That's why you're seeing Keyshawn taking his time, picking his spots.
34:34 He's not rushing his attack even though he had his man hurt the last round because he
34:38 knows he's dangerous.
34:40 Power goes to the body with a left hand.
34:47 Would love to see more body work from Keyshawn.
34:49 Not enough body work I don't believe tonight.
34:52 Able to lift his head moments ago.
34:56 You see a little blood in the mouth of Patera.
35:00 See that shot right there, the left hook?
35:02 That got in for Patera.
35:04 That's what I'm talking about.
35:05 Still throwing heat, still throwing fire at Keyshawn.
35:08 Keyshawn has to worry about that.
35:11 Good right hand.
35:13 Well timed.
35:14 Yes.
35:15 Beating him to the punch.
35:16 Nice step back.
35:17 And now closes the gap behind the jab.
35:20 Cuts off the ring well as well.
35:22 Double left uppercut, left hook.
35:27 Flurry of head shots comes in.
35:29 Short right hand on the inside.
35:31 Oh, better keep his defense tight.
35:34 Patera with a right hand of his own.
35:37 Keyshawn tries to wrap around with body shots.
35:39 Comes in with a left hand as well.
35:42 Give the veteran credit.
35:46 Now he steps to Keyshawn Davis.
35:49 As Patera steps to him in the end of round number 9.
35:52 Very game is the veteran from Belgium.
35:55 This is great experience for Keyshawn.
35:58 These are the kind of steps, the kind of runs on the ladder that you want to take.
36:03 Opponents that can serve you well.
36:05 Tens of thousands of customers wrote about Carvana being fast in their 5 star reviews,
36:15 including Sheena.
36:16 This was our second purchase through Carvana.
36:18 It was super easy and really fast.
36:20 This time we traded in a car and couldn't believe how easy it was.
36:24 And we found the car our family really needed and in red.
36:28 Next thing I know our new car was here and our trade in was gone.
36:31 Bye.
36:32 Ta-da.
36:33 I literally tell people all the time how fast and easy Carvana is.
36:38 Buy your car with Carvana today.
36:39 The rematch you have all been waiting for.
36:40 This is the fight that everybody wants to see.
36:41 Dustin Poirier will fight anybody, anytime.
36:42 Have you ever seen anything like Justin Gage?
36:43 The most violent man in the most violent sport.
36:44 Buckle your seat belts ladies and gentlemen.
37:13 Keyshawn Davis scored the knockdown in round number 8.
37:16 He has been in total control of the veteran Francesco Patera, who has been game, who has
37:22 been tough, who has fired back.
37:24 But he has dominated with a 143-53 connect advantage.
37:29 We listened in to what Brian "Bomac" McIntyre had to say to Keyshawn in terms of how to
37:35 close things here.
37:36 He said box and let's get out smooth.
37:39 If something presents itself fine, but box and get out of here smooth.
37:45 I don't think Keyshawn wants to do that.
37:46 I think Keyshawn is looking for the knockout.
37:49 He's going about it responsibly, but coming out with that firepower that he just landed
37:54 tells me that he wants it.
37:55 He's looking for the knockout.
37:56 First time he has seen the 10th round in his young pro career.
38:06 Body shot.
38:07 You could hear the thud there.
38:08 It's that right hand.
38:09 Got around the left elbow of Patera.
38:11 Seeing Patera, he fires back and he's defensively responsible too.
38:16 A lot of those shots are graze and blows and yes, some are getting in, but that's what
38:21 Keyshawn is feeling as well.
38:22 He's feeling that pressure.
38:23 He's feeling that heat coming back, which is good for him.
38:26 It's good for his young career.
38:27 I know he's in a rush.
38:28 I know he wants to get to the world championship, but take your time, son.
38:32 Continue to hone your skills.
38:33 It's important.
38:34 You don't want to just get to the world championship.
38:39 You want to hold on to that championship as long as you can.
38:43 Good timing on the inside.
38:49 Two counters.
38:51 One was the left uppercut.
38:53 The other one was a right hand that was generated from only about five inches away.
38:57 In between.
38:58 In between the punches.
38:59 In between punches inside fighting.
39:05 Nice little shoulder roll right there from Patera trying to take a page out of Keyshawn,
39:08 but fighters we tend to do monkey see monkey do.
39:11 We see a guy do one thing, we'll say, "You know what?
39:15 You reminded me.
39:16 Yeah, I could do that too."
39:19 Patera doing everything he can to keep Keyshawn above of him.
39:25 Oh, big shot right there.
39:28 Beautiful.
39:45 Right uppercut, right over the top comes in from Keyshawn Davis.
39:50 Then you see Patera come right back with his offense.
39:57 I know that he mentioned recently that he doesn't want any more development fights,
40:02 but getting developed at this stage is for a reason.
40:06 Patera offered that up to him tonight and it served him well, Timmy.
40:10 Yes, absolutely.
40:11 He can go back to the drawing board and look at this fight and I'm sure he'll see and recognize
40:17 that there was a ton of opportunities for him to land more offense and possibly get
40:21 the stoppage.
40:22 But Keyshawn Davis clearly won this fight tonight with flying colors.
40:28 You got to give it up for Patera.
40:29 He came here game to win the fight.
40:32 He didn't come here to lay down.
40:33 He didn't come here to survive.
40:34 He was fighting back Keyshawn every chance he got.
40:40 We will hear from Keyshawn Davis in just a moment and we will get you set for our main

41:57 Mark Chenault.
41:58 Gentlemen, after 10 rounds here inside the Fire Lake Arena, we go to the judges scorecards
42:04 for the official decision.
42:07 Mike Bauer and David Sutherland both score the bout 100 to 89.
42:12 Joseph Mason has it 99 to 90 for your winner by unanimous decision.
42:20 And still US WBC and WBO Intercontinental Lightweight Champion, Keyshawn Davis.
42:32 Keyshawn Davis, 162 total connects tonight to Patera's 61.
42:39 Knockdown scored in round 8, a unanimous decision win.
42:43 Bernardo.
42:44 This is a great picture, this Wanda and Keyshawn.
