NFL Monday: Raiders vs. Packers Preview & Predictions

00:03 - A toss up, a coin flip, whatever you wanna call it,
00:06 out in the desert.
00:07 Las Vegas, a point and a half favorite.
00:09 The over under is 45 and a hook.
00:12 Donnie the Raiders this year, one and three.
00:15 They won their opening game of the year
00:17 on the road in Denver.
00:18 Everybody wins on the road in Denver.
00:21 They have lost three straight.
00:23 The Packers won their opening game of the year,
00:25 won their home opener week number three,
00:27 have dropped week number two by a point against the Falcons.
00:30 And the last time we saw Green Bay, two Thursdays ago,
00:34 week number four, they did not look good
00:36 in a divisional duel at home against the Detroit Lions.
00:39 So Donnie, when you look at the numbers tonight,
00:41 one and a half points in favor of Las Vegas,
00:43 a total of 45 and a hook.
00:45 What do those numbers tell you for Monday night football?
00:48 - I'm leaning towards an under,
00:49 and I guess that's the strongest indication for me tonight.
00:52 'Cause again, the spread is minus one and a half.
00:54 I'm gonna lean towards the home team here,
00:55 as I said repeatedly for the Raiders.
00:57 But if I'm looking at an overall perspective
00:59 for myself on Green Bay,
01:00 where's the high flying plays
01:01 that we've been waiting for here?
01:02 You take a look at their power rank on offense.
01:04 It's roughly 25th out of 32 teams.
01:07 That's not great.
01:08 We're not saying that the Raiders offense
01:09 is equally as great either.
01:10 But as you said over the break here also,
01:12 Jair Alexander possibly coming back,
01:14 that should help them stop the air game here
01:16 for Jimmy Garoppolo and taking a look at Devontae Adams.
01:20 But if I'm looking at this game accordingly,
01:21 I just, I look at the games that the Raiders have played.
01:25 And yes, they lost their last game out,
01:26 but they had O'Connell as starting quarterback.
01:28 It actually would have been interesting
01:28 if Jimmy Garoppolo started that game against the Chargers.
01:31 Maybe a legitimate chance to win that,
01:32 but I thought the defense held up well.
01:34 I just see the Raiders here with Jimmy Garoppolo,
01:36 veteran guy at home.
01:38 I should be able to get a competent performance
01:39 out of my offense,
01:40 as opposed to me looking at Green Bay going like,
01:42 "Oh, I wonder what we get, Ben, this week
01:45 from the Green Bay offense."
01:46 Whether it's a player that's injured, who's not playing,
01:48 who does get injured mid game,
01:49 or if it's a passing game that doesn't work all that well
01:52 when the previous week it worked decently here.
01:54 I'm just looking at a more competent effort
01:56 out of the Raiders, which sounds crazy tonight,
01:58 but that's why they're, look,
02:00 the Green Bay Packers are in favor by a touchdown tonight,
02:02 as if the betting public was figuring like,
02:03 "Oh, it's an easy walk away."
02:05 The favorite team tonight is the Raiders,
02:06 and that's where I'm going.
