00:00 Hello, I'm Sam Harrison, here are your Suffolk News headlines.
00:03 A husband and wife couple have swapped Suffolk for Norfolk to breathe new life into a Rowden
00:09 restaurant which has been closed for 18 months on the site of an award-winning distillery.
00:15 Grant and Lucy Newland picked up the keys for the Green Kitchen at the English distillery
00:20 on Monday after leaving the King's Arms pub in Hawley after seven years.
00:26 After a soft launch tonight and its first full weekend, the restaurant will be open
00:30 Monday to Saturday and for Sunday lunch, where the team will be doing breakfast, brunch,
00:35 lunch, coffees, cake and everything in between.
00:39 A Market Towns festive programme is very ambitious despite not hosting the popular Christmas
00:45 fair according to Councillor Cliff Waterman, leader of West Suffolk Council.
00:51 Last winter there were calls for greater aspiration over the replacement for the Bury St Edmunds
00:55 Christmas Fair after many visitors were left disappointed with the scale of what was on
00:59 offer.
01:00 A series of smaller events including a synthetic ice rink at the Ark shopping centre and Peter
01:06 and the Wolf Live in the Abbey Gardens has been organised by partners to replace the
01:11 West Suffolk Council-led fair.
01:13 Councillor Waterman felt the fair had outlived its purpose.
01:17 And our top story of the week.
01:19 Tributes have been pouring in for a happy and smiley mum who died following a car crash
01:24 earlier this year.
01:26 Annie Thompson, 35, from Stow Market was returning home with her two children from a holiday
01:31 near Sheringham when the accident happened on 17th August.
01:36 Miss Thompson, a mental health support worker, was in intensive care for five weeks following
01:41 the accident.
01:43 A fundraising drive to help support Annie's family was set up shortly after the accident
01:48 which has now raised more than £7,000.
