Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's Collision Center
00:05 on 1499.3 KLIN.
00:09 Husker Head Coach Matt Ruhle broke down Illinois' defense and their top player Johnny Noon.
00:13 He's an excellent, excellent, excellent football player.
00:16 High draft pick, powerful, two gap, makes plays down the line, can torque you in the
00:21 pass rush game.
00:22 Their scheme, because they play with five down the line and basically 90% of the time
00:27 creates five one-on-ones.
00:29 So you have to win five blocks and they have to just win one pass rush or one run block
00:37 to have a successful play.
00:38 So it's a real challenge, but he's an excellent football player and so he's one of those guys
00:43 you have to game plan around.
00:45 You have to do things to account for him, at the same time understanding that they have
00:49 other guys who can hurt you.
00:51 So it'll be a real challenge.
00:53 The Huskers will take on the Illini this Friday at 7 p.m.
00:56 With this Husker Max practice report, I'm Matt McMaster.
