00:02 - Justin Fields in the Bears offense,
00:05 got going a little bit on Sunday, Joe,
00:07 at least through two and a half quarters.
00:09 Didn't go so well in the fourth
00:11 as they lost at home to the Broncos.
00:13 Here's Fields talking about the offense improving.
00:16 - I think that is the case.
00:18 You know, like I said before,
00:19 I think we took a step in the right direction as an offense.
00:24 We know we still have some things to work on,
00:25 but I think, like I said before,
00:27 we kinda took a step in finding who we are as an offense,
00:31 our identity, and just really,
00:34 just going out there and playing football.
00:37 So I think everybody definitely took a step
00:42 and is more confident going into this week.
00:45 - There you go, Joe.
00:48 That's your guy, that's Justin Fields.
00:50 You're his biggest supporter, no doubt about that.
00:54 This started at seven, sort of get to six and a half.
00:57 Now I've seen it get to five and a half
00:59 tomorrow night for this game.
01:02 I know where you're going.
01:03 - Well, I mean, they laid seven week one against Arizona.
01:07 You're telling me the Cards are that much better
01:11 than the Bears?
01:12 I don't believe so.
01:13 I mean, come on now.
01:14 I mean, it's ridiculous to me.
01:15 I think the Bears are significantly better
01:18 than the Cards right now.
01:19 And Justin Fields is a lot better than Josh Dobbs.
01:22 The only problem is, is that he has a head coach
01:25 that gets completely conservative
01:27 in terms of the second half of that ballgame.
01:29 I understand he threw a pick on the final drive,
01:32 but why not go for the kill shot?
01:34 Why not go for the field goal with two minutes left?
01:37 He's completely aloof in terms of Ibraflux.
01:41 And then here's the thing.
01:43 I'm not sold on Washington's defense.
01:45 So I think Chicago is gonna be live tomorrow night.
01:48 I'm taking them on the money line.
01:51 - Wow, you said it.
01:53 Go ahead, Joe, say it.
01:54 I said it, plus 200 for the Bears on the money line.
01:58 Thinks they win outright.
01:59 - Well, here's the thing, Carver.
02:00 Yeah, I mean, what I find absolutely fascinating
02:04 is prior to that game last week against Denver,
02:07 Fields can't throw, he sucks, he's terrible.
02:11 And granted, the numbers are absolutely atrocious.
02:14 But when all of a sudden you change the play call again,
02:16 you become more aggressive on running situations.
02:19 All of a sudden, Justin Fields,
02:21 and even a player like Zach Wilson have success.
02:24 So how many times do these coaching staffs
02:27 handcuff these guys because they're afraid to open it up
02:31 and because of mistakes?
02:33 And what they wind up doing is suppressing
02:36 the physical attributes and strengths
02:37 of a player like Justin Fields.
02:39 We know Matt Ibraflux wants to play conservative.
02:42 That's his problem.
02:44 It's him, not Fields.
02:46 - I'll probably be on the Bears as well, Joe,
02:51 just because-- - You don't even address it.
02:52 You're terrible.
02:53 Yeah, let me ask you a question
02:55 since you love bashing the guy.
02:57 After last week, do you think Justin Fields
02:59 could play quarterback?
03:00 He threw for 335 last week in four tunnies.
03:03 All of a sudden now, now we keep that to the side.
03:07 - Okay, well, I'll say two things to you.
03:10 First of all, it was a nice game for him.
03:13 Second of all, they lost the game.
03:17 He had a, we had a fumble, we had a pick, okay?
03:20 We had a couple things there late
03:22 that were not on the good side,
03:23 and you like to do this, they were playing Denver,
03:26 who's a gutless team.
03:28 It's a gutless team that they were playing
03:29 on the other side. - We know Denver's gutless,
03:31 but Denver gave up-- - That gave up 70 points
03:33 the week before.
03:34 - Yeah, and 300 yards on the ground to the Dolphins.
03:37 They didn't give up 300 yards on the ground
03:39 in terms of the Chicago Bear offense.
03:42 It was all through the air with Justin Fields,
03:44 and that's been the knock on the guy.
03:46 He can't throw, he can't throw, he can't throw.
03:49 He threw for 335 and four touchdowns.
03:53 Everybody loves him in fantasy.
03:55 Oh, my fantasy team is off the charts.
03:59 Come on. - Do it again.
04:01 Do it again.
04:02 Go and do it again then this week, Joe.
04:04 - A gutless team in the Commanders.
04:05 We know their head coach sucks.
