Oregon quarterback Bo Nix breaks down a 42-6 win over the Stanford Cardinal.

00:00 Coach talked about a little bit earlier on
00:01 they were doing some things defensively
00:03 that they don't normally do.
00:05 How much of that either was confusing
00:07 or just was a little unexpected
00:08 and it was hard to learn
00:09 the offense was just gonna slow out the game?
00:11 Well, I think the reason we were slow out the game
00:13 is because we had six plays in the first quarter
00:15 and that really be all,
00:17 they weren't doing necessarily anything
00:19 you know, we haven't ever seen or like,
00:22 you know, they didn't reinvent the wheel or anything.
00:24 We just, you know, our plays were set up
00:26 for some other things and then we just had to get
00:28 settled in and find those things that worked
00:30 against what they were doing.
00:30 And once that happened,
00:32 we put up a lot of stuff.
00:35 Right behind the mirror.
00:37 I'm just curious what the conversations
00:39 on the sideline were after you,
00:40 you guys have been so consistent with your offense
00:41 and you had a couple of pickups.
00:43 What the conversations were,
00:44 how confident you were that things would get going?
00:46 Oh, we were extremely confident.
00:47 We just felt like we just needed to get a first down
00:49 and then, you know, we'd be rolling
00:51 and that's what happened.
00:53 James?
00:56 It's another week of the 100 yard game for Troy.
00:58 It's not like getting the bottom guy
01:00 to take away your front guy.
01:01 How is it that you're able to keep getting them all in
01:04 despite every defense line taking one?
01:06 Well, I think it's a credit to those other receivers
01:08 and tight ends playing out there.
01:10 They can't just completely take away him
01:14 or they'll get hurt by somebody else.
01:16 And we've shown that over and over and over.
01:18 And, you know, Troy's strengths are, you know, really good.
01:23 He's great in one-on-one situations.
01:26 He just finds a way somehow to make that explosive play a game
01:30 and really just help himself out with the yards total.
01:33 But everybody else, you know, I felt like as receivers
01:36 and tight ends, you know, everybody contributed today.
01:37 Everybody played a key role.
01:39 And the ball was just being, you know,
01:41 spit out to a bunch of different people.
01:43 Back left, Rob.
01:44 No getting out.
01:46 What do you think is the most important thing
01:47 for you guys to get out of this?
01:49 I think just, you know, growing as a unit,
01:53 finding the details that we got to fix,
01:55 and, you know, going this next week,
01:58 making sure that we fix those so that, you know,
02:00 we don't keep making consistent mistakes.
02:04 Right in front of him, Eric, again.
02:06 Jordan James stepping into a little bit of a different role
02:08 and kind of showing more of the complete package
02:10 that he is as a back.
02:11 What did you see from him when he gave this sort of first touch
02:13 and you guys got to like?
02:14 Yeah, he did really well.
02:16 You know, he contributes when his number's called.
02:20 He's a great, you know, next guy up after Bucky.
02:23 And, you know, those two guys are obviously
02:26 filling a bigger role now, you know,
02:29 with Noah's unfortunate circumstance.
02:31 But, you know, those guys are ready to fill that role
02:35 and are really good runner backs.
02:37 In the back, Matt.
02:38 What would you just like about the throw of T.
02:40 Ferg, like, back that play?
02:42 Would you like that hat shot?
02:44 Well, we've been practicing that play for a while.
02:46 You know, just heavy play action.
02:47 Felt like he would pop in the back, and that's what happened.
02:49 You know, DB had blind eyes,
02:51 and Ferg went up and made a heck of a catch.
02:54 And, you know, that's the kind of stuff
02:56 that Ferg is capable of doing.
02:57 We just got to find, you know, ways to get him the ball.
