00:00 >> Four games in, what's your assessment of how the running game has gone?
00:05 Good, bad?
00:07 >> I feel like we got a lot of room to improve.
00:09 We just gotta get in that rhythm.
00:11 We've been passing the ball well, so the next couple games,
00:15 we'll get the running game going for sure.
00:17 >> Is it frustrating at times watching the film and
00:19 seeing all the opportunities there, one more block, one more step or
00:23 a different track?
00:24 >> Yeah, for sure.
00:26 Me and LT always go back and watch it all the time.
00:28 We always, we're like, damn, we gotta get that next time.
00:31 We gotta hit this angle next time.
00:33 And it's for sure frustrating for sure, though,
00:35 cuz we missed a lot of the big runs that day of the season.
00:39 But we got room to improve.
00:41 >> You mentioned trying to find a rhythm.
00:43 Is it difficult when carries are limited?
00:45 I think you're after about ten a game right now.
00:48 Is that complicated at all?
00:49 >> I ain't gonna lie, you can see it.
00:51 >> [LAUGH] >> I don't know,
00:56 I'm gonna go again, start over.
00:58 >> You mentioned rhythm and being tough to establish rhythm.
01:01 I think you're averaging ten carries per game.
01:03 Obviously, you guys are throwing and running right now.
01:05 Is it tough to establish that?
01:07 How do you kind of go about doing that with the way things are distributed right
01:10 now?
01:10 >> Actually, I like catching the ball at the backfield.
01:15 That's really what I have to show more of this year,
01:18 catching the ball at the backfield, really, cuz I didn't really show that last year.
01:22 Like the catching Clemson I had, the back shoulder catch.
01:25 I always remember that catch because people think I couldn't do that.
01:29 So I appreciate that.
01:30 >> You mentioned some of those catches right there.
01:34 You had a big one.
01:35 LTs had a couple really big catches early on in the season.
01:37 How much has that been a point of emphasis in the running back room as
01:41 kind of the run game hasn't gotten going so far, but
01:42 you guys are able to make different types of plays.
01:44 >> It just shows the versatility in the running back room that we have.
01:48 I'll listen to catch, I'll listen to catch in the room.
01:50 And down the road, you'll see that for sure.
01:53 You can see it, Rodney, CJ, all of us can catch it.
01:56 We all got great balls here.
01:57 So as the season go on, we'll be able to showcase it a little more too.
02:01 >> You had the one, I think I'm the first touch on Garvin.
02:05 You had the one run.
02:06 It felt like the most kind of you run we've seen from you this year.
02:09 How much of that, I mean, can that be something that where you're like,
02:11 I found it again.
02:12 That was, I just need to have a run like that.
02:14 >> Yeah, I actually, I went and watched it again last night.
02:17 I'm like, that's me right there.
02:18 That's how I run right there.
02:19 But yeah, I feel like they created a spark for me.
02:23 And this next couple games is gonna be some good ones.
02:28 >> How did the Clemson game really set you up for
02:32 what you wanted to work on this week in the bye week?
02:34 >> It set us up.
02:36 We only had, I think, 22 yards rushing.
02:39 So basically, just bye week and next week we're gonna work on the right game,
02:44 see what we can do better.
02:45 Trust our track and just trust our training.
02:48 >> How do you feel pass block has been for the running back career and
02:51 the forwarding team this season?
02:53 >> Me personally, I feel like I have to be a little more aggressive, but
02:56 LT has been doing well.
02:57 Even Rodney, Rodney, he stuck his nose in there.
02:59 He's not scared to block and he's just being aggressive.
03:02 Him and LT is aggressive.
03:03 I feel like I need to be more aggressive.
03:04 >> [INAUDIBLE]
