00:00 Kevin, I assume a day like today is one of the reasons why you came here.
00:04 How did it feel playing out on that field and having a game like this for you?
00:08 >> I mean, it was awesome.
00:10 We came in with a plan.
00:12 We knew what we wanted to do.
00:13 We knew they had a high powered offense.
00:15 And I mean, we just came out and executed really and did it at full speed.
00:19 Personally, I mean, I was just having fun out there.
00:21 It just felt great to fly around, be around the guys and
00:24 just enjoy that time on the field.
00:28 But yeah, I mean, you said it, amazing.
00:30 These are the moments we live for.
00:32 And yeah, I was just enjoying it.
00:34 If you see me with a smile out there,
00:35 I was definitely just having fun and playing the game how it's supposed to be played.
00:39 >> Coach said you guys knew their run pass balance and
00:41 how that might impact the way you're able to try to get after the passer and all that.
00:44 So just how much anticipation did you guys have knowing you might be able to get
00:48 after him early?
00:49 >> Yeah, for sure.
00:49 We knew they were gonna air it out.
00:50 I mean, that's what they do.
00:52 And I mean, really our plan up front was just to let our big guys eat.
00:57 I mean, we got a really talented group of guys up front,
01:00 a really deep group of guys that I mean, we could sub in at any time.
01:03 We got fresh legs and let them go chase the quarterback we had.
01:07 I can't even, probably can't count on one hand how many sacks we had this game.
01:12 And yeah, I mean, all credit to those guys up front, just sticking to the game plan and
01:16 letting the rush eat and doing their job.
01:18 >> Do you wanna brag about your group though a little bit?
01:19 I mean, some of those sacks, it felt like- >> Yeah, I mean,
01:22 I like giving the credit to somebody else, but I'll take a couple credit.
01:27 A little bit of credit for, we like to think some of those are coverage sacks.
01:32 In the back end, holding our people accountable and just doing our job.
01:37 Yeah, we like to think that we have a little effect on how we rush the passer.
01:43 But no, I'm giving most, if not all, the credit to the guys up front.
01:48 >> It also seems like you had success as a defenseman when you brought players from
01:51 different levels, yourself included.
01:52 I got worried on a couple of those.
01:54 Just talk about how difficult it might be for
01:55 an offense when you guys are coming from every different angle, along with up front.
01:59 >> Yeah, for sure.
01:59 I mean, we're really multiple in our blitzes and our pressures this week.
02:03 And especially when we're able to get it to second and long, third and long.
02:07 Makes it a lot easier for us to, we have a tendency to
02:13 understand what they're probably gonna do on offense.
02:15 So we feel more confident in bringing in some more exotic blitz pass and
02:20 bringing me off the edge or a corner, different people from different areas.
02:25 So yeah, we got them to second and long, third and long a lot of times, and
02:29 we're able to capitalize on those opportunities.
