00:00 Great game on Saturday was certainly a lot of fun for our players and our team.
00:03 It's always a blast to see the fans so
00:06 active making such an impact on our game.
00:10 It was our most complete game that we've played to date.
00:13 I think it showed what we're capable of.
00:15 I think we're really solid in all three phases, but
00:17 we still walked away with a lot of things that we can certainly fix.
00:19 I know I say that every single week, but it's always true.
00:22 Our players had a great practice today, this Monday, and
00:26 they went and started attacking things that they can fix.
00:28 >> So Zach, you're on the right.
00:30 >> There's been a lot of talk nationally about your pregame speech and
00:35 your aggressive play calling.
00:37 I think Skip Bayless called it venomous vengeance.
00:41 I'm just curious what your thoughts are on that and
00:43 kind of how your words have been skewed a little bit.
00:46 >> Yeah, I mean, I don't know Skip at all.
00:48 I've never had a conversation with him.
00:52 I've watched him enough to know how often he gets it wrong.
00:54 So I mean, that sounds about right.
00:56 But I mean, ultimately, here's what I say, we're playing to win the game, right?
01:00 And you saw a 15 second clip from a window view outside the house of what
01:05 happens in the locker room, right?
01:06 I know our locker room.
01:07 I'm in the house 100% of the time.
01:09 I know how our players felt going into that game.
01:12 And I know what it takes to motivate our players.
01:14 That's my job to motivate our players, right?
01:16 He has a job, I have a job too, to get out there and to perform on the field.
01:20 But inside that house, they felt a certain way.
01:22 They felt a certain way about a group stomping on the O.
01:24 They felt a certain way about guys talking to him in the pregame.
01:28 And I'm proud of those guys cuz what they decided to do is talk with their pads.
01:32 Right, they didn't wanna do anything extra afterwards.
01:34 They wanna talk with their pads and they did that on Saturday.
01:37 I'm also grateful and can clearly acknowledge that the attention that we got
01:43 this Saturday in large part was due to Deion and what he's doing to college football.
01:48 And if anybody can't see what he's done for college football and
01:51 how he's bringing excitement to college football, you're crazy, right?
01:53 And I said that last week as well.
01:55 He's done a lot for the game.
01:57 He's building something over there.
01:58 I think that's really, really clear.
02:00 There's no secret there.
02:01 But it wouldn't matter if I was playing my ten year old son on the other sideline.
02:04 I'm gonna do everything I can to win.
02:06 If I'm playing Bill Belichick, I'm gonna do everything I can to win.
02:08 Did I go for it on fourth down?
02:09 Yeah, I have every game this year, right?
02:11 I've gone for it nine times.
02:12 Did I go for a two point conversion?
02:14 Yeah, I've done it three out of the four games this year.
02:16 And if we play again tomorrow, I'm gonna do the same thing.
02:19 I'm gonna do everything I can to win a game and
02:21 everything I can to motivate my team.
02:22 So that to me is classless, what he's saying there,
02:28 but I'm not really worried about it.
02:29 >> Second row, Eric.
02:33 >> Kind of to that point, transitioning from a lot of stuff going on on
02:36 the periphery to this week.
02:37 How have you seen the team transition and I guess really looking at Stanford?
02:41 >> Yeah, well to that point,
02:41 I'm gonna talk about Stanford and Oregon from here on out.
02:44 So what do I see?
02:46 I mean, I see last time we played on the road, we didn't perform the way we want to.
02:49 So it's an opportunity for us to go put a complete game together on the road.
02:53 And just like I said after the game,
02:55 you can't let your highs get too high and your lows get too low.
02:57 Sometimes after an emotional win, where there's a lot of passion and energy in it,
03:01 you can have a letdown when we're certainly not looking to do that.
03:04 We're looking to go out and perform again to our absolute best.
03:07 Our guys, like I said, have the right mindset.
03:09 They came in energized this morning, ready to work, ready to attack,
03:13 anxious to watch film.
03:14 And we're gonna build off of what we've been building all season.
03:18 >> Second row on the right here, Garrett.
03:21 >> You call this your guys' most complete performance to date.
03:23 On the defensive side, what did you like the most?
03:25 What were you most impressed with after watching the film?
03:28 >> Like I said, I thought our coaches showed really good patience, right?
03:31 Of when to take advantage of opportunities, when to take risks.
03:36 But on the same note, we were able to get a lot of things done with just rushing
03:38 coverage and not feel like we had to throw everything at them to have success.
03:42 We felt like we had an identity of who they were and
03:45 what they had to do to be successful.
03:47 And we felt like we took away their strength, right?
03:49 We wanted to be able to get at their quarterback.
03:52 Our defensive line did that, and we covered well on the back end,
03:54 which allows you to get a good rush up front.
03:57 So was proud of that.
03:59 >> All the way in the back, Matt.
04:02 >> Kind of touched on it there, but Stanford,
04:04 they don't lead the conference in attendance.
04:06 The atmosphere is probably gonna be a little bit different than the last away
04:08 game you guys were at.
04:10 Just how important is it to bring your own juice,
04:12 to get a hot start in this game, to get the momentum going?
04:16 >> Yeah, you said it, right?
04:17 I mean, this is a bring your own juice game, right?
04:19 It's gonna be a different atmosphere.
04:22 But if you step on the grass and it means something to you, right,
04:25 you're gonna step on there and try to perform to a certain level,
04:27 cuz you have pride in the game.
04:29 >> On the right, in the back, Trevor.
04:32 >> Just from a player coach standpoint,
04:35 how unique is the relationship that you have with Bo Nix?
04:38 >> I can't speak necessarily to it from a perspective of other coaches or
04:44 what that looks like, but I love Bo.
04:47 I love every player on our team.
04:48 And Bo's done everything he possibly can to be a great teammate and
04:52 a great player for Oregon.
04:54 And he shows that every single day in the way he approaches everything that he does.
04:57 So I'm always gonna appreciate somebody that works as hard as he works,
05:01 does what he has to do for our team to be successful and win, and
05:05 operates the way he does each day.
