The Chinese embassy in Malaysia hosted an open day on Saturday (Sept 23) in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese National Day.

00:29 the event highlighted three important occasions.
00:32 "We have three important celebrations. First, you know, today the Asian Games will begin
00:39 this evening in Hangzhou, China. So it's a very great event for all the Asian peoples,
00:47 including Malaysia and China. Second, today is the Mid-Autumn Festival. You know, this
00:54 festival is a celebration for the family reunion in China and it is also the harmony of nature
01:02 and human beings is the symbol. Third one is our National Day, you know, National Day
01:07 will be on October 1st. As for the China-Malaysia relationship, up till now it is so far good,
01:14 particularly this year, you know, this year your Prime Minister Angwar visited China twice
01:23 and he reached the consensus, the most important consensus with the Chinese President to build
01:29 China-Malaysia community with a shared future, which charters a new path for the development
01:36 of the China-Malaysia relationship in the near future."
01:40 Zhang said Malaysia and China have seen increased high-level exchanges and the embassy is committed
01:46 to foster cultural exchanges among the youth.
