Dom Smith reacts to West Ham's opening Europa League win

00:00 It's all over here at the London Stadium and West Ham have got off to winning ways in their

00:04 Europa League campaign. They were 3-1 winners here against current Serbian league leaders

00:10 TSC, Bacika Topola. It didn't start well for them after a pretty dull first half really which was

00:16 goalless at the break. Bacika Topola took the lead 1 minute and 55 seconds after the restart,

00:22 after a howler really, a terrible error from Angela Ogbona who seemed to forget that the ball was at

00:27 his feet and in stormed Petar Stanic. He couldn't believe his luck really. He was through on goal

00:33 with Lukas Fabianski, ran the length of their half and slotted it past Fabianski quite brilliantly.

00:41 So that was the visitors, the minnows ahead but they were only ahead for 18 minutes because

00:47 new signing Mohamed Kudus on his first start for West Ham forced an own goal by Nemanja Petrovic

00:52 and then had a goal of his own. I think he thought he had two, he actually had one. The first was an

00:59 own goal but Kudus had a goal of his own, a header from a James Ward-Prowse corner late in the second

01:05 half. That made it 2-1 to West Ham. They turned the game around and they eventually ended up 3-1

01:10 winners when late substitute Thomas Socek came on and scored a header, a very similar header to

01:16 Kudus' goal which was also from James Ward-Prowse's corner. His deliveries are causing real problems

01:22 for opposition since he's signed for West Ham. So they got off to a winning ways here, 3-1 win

01:27 and overall they just about deserved it.
