00:02 Because we go to the National League, that the Giants had it right there for
00:06 the taking right in front of them.
00:08 All these games against the Colorado Rockies, they blew them all.
00:11 The Giants look like they're out at this point.
00:13 They lost again yesterday to Arizona.
00:14 So we'll show them on the screen here.
00:16 But, and again, they win their last ten games, they're getting in.
00:20 They didn't think it happened, baseball.
00:22 But Phillies right now are really in the driver's seat.
00:25 So, and Ryan, this is all I talk about all day long.
00:28 So I'm gonna let you do it here.
00:30 Arizona, Chicago, Miami, Cincinnati.
00:34 You got four teams left for two spots, Ryan.
00:38 You got four teams left for two spots.
00:40 Naturally, I'm gonna put Miami in there as one.
00:44 But they gotta face the best pitchers in baseball here coming up over
00:48 the next week.
00:49 They gotta hang on for dear life.
00:50 And Luis Urias may not be playing, who knows?
00:53 Arizona's look great, the Cubs are great.
00:55 They fell back, their schedule's easy too.
00:57 Reds got the best offense but can't pitch out of a paper bag sometimes.
01:01 Who you got, Ryan?
01:02 Who are the last two teams?
01:03 Who's getting in?
01:04 >> That's just a great question right now.
01:06 And I think that's one of those things that's gonna come down to the last day of
01:09 the season.
01:09 And selfishly, I kinda hope that it does because living here in St.
01:13 Louis, the Reds are here for that last series, those last three games.
01:17 And I would love nothing more than to be able to watch the chaos in game 162
01:21 play out in front of me on the baseball field.
01:24 That would be a lot of fun.
01:26 It feels like just last week we were talking about this same race.
01:29 We were talking about the Giants and how they had caught fire and
01:32 they had gone from way back into right into the position where they could take
01:35 care of things.
01:36 And then like you said, they just kinda fell apart and they lost the games.
01:39 And I think that's why if you're a Cubs fan, you look at your schedule and
01:42 you say, okay, we've got two more against the Pirates.
01:45 We've got a game, games against the Rockies.
01:47 And then we've got games against teams that basically have already clinched in
01:50 the Braves and the Brewers.
01:51 And so they're not gonna be throwing their best pitchers,
01:54 especially as we were talking about.
01:56 The Brewers aren't gonna throw Corbin Burns, Brandon Woodruff, and
01:58 Freddie Peralta in those last three games of the season,
02:01 cuz they're gonna be saving them for the postseason.
02:03 So that seems to be an advantageous setup for the Cubs.
02:07 But the Cubs have lost some games that they shouldn't have,
02:11 the teams that they should be beating here in their recent swoon.
02:14 And sometimes it's hard to pull out of that kinda nosedive.
02:18 And we see that happen every year.
02:19 Teams just say, okay, if we can just get to this point, then we'll be okay.
02:23 And then they get to that point and they're not okay.
02:25 So if I'm picking teams, I still like Arizona.
02:30 I like what the Diamondbacks have.
02:31 I like the way that they bounce back from what looked to be a season ending swoon.
02:37 They just weren't good in August.
02:38 They fell from a good solid position down to five,
02:42 six games out of the third wild card spot.
02:44 They bounced back, they're playing very well.
02:46 And you've got Zach Gallin and
02:47 Merrill Kelly, you feel pretty good about those two guys throwing.
02:51 I think that they're probably one of the teams,
02:54 it's probably gonna wind up being the Diamondbacks and
02:57 the Cubs getting in there, which me saying that means that it's gonna be the Reds and
03:00 Marlins, right?
03:01 Because that's what's so much fun about it,
03:04 is you can look at all the factors you want to.
03:07 But then you get down to it and games are played and crazy things happen.
03:11 Yeah, I mean, that's why we love the sport.
