00:00 >> What just stands out about this Colorado team?
00:02 They are completely different from last time you guys played.
00:06 >> Yeah, I mean, you gotta start with giving them credit, right?
00:08 I mean, they've completely changed their program around.
00:11 And I mean, there's a lot of electricity going through Boulder right now,
00:14 which is really cool.
00:15 The star, I mean, obviously their quarterback's pretty electric.
00:18 He's been playing really well these past three games and
00:21 he's sticking out like a sore thumb when they're winning.
00:23 So it's pretty cool to watch that transition for them.
00:27 Obviously, the atmosphere this weekend is gonna be really fun.
00:30 It's gonna be what all Duck fans live in Austin.
00:32 It's gonna be loud and fun.
00:34 The students are back, so it's gonna be nice and exciting for everyone.
00:38 >> What is it about Shadour that sticks out like a sore thumb?
00:40 What does he do that's gonna present challenges to you?
00:42 >> Yeah, I think, I mean, he kinda just,
00:45 no one really knew what to expect from the Colorado team, obviously.
00:48 And the way they came out, they beat TCU right away.
00:51 And how much of an impact he had on that game, just throwing the ball.
00:54 I think that's the one thing you see right away is how well he throws the ball and
00:58 how well he runs the offense.
01:00 So it's really, it's gonna be exciting to play against him and
01:03 play against, obviously, Coach Sanders, a legendary person in the game of football.
01:08 So just overall excited to be able to play these guys and
01:12 have the opportunity to play in a packed stadium like we're going to.
01:15 >> You pushed tempo pretty fast.
01:17 Just the importance of you guys being ready for that.
01:20 How big of a factor is that gonna be for you guys?
01:23 >> I mean, it's not something we haven't faced already.
01:25 I mean, Texas Tech, they ran the ball pretty fast, you know what I'm saying?
01:28 Not necessarily ran the ball, but they snapped the ball in between snaps pretty
01:30 fast, so it's something we've seen already.
01:32 But that doesn't draw the wave that we have to be ready for it again.
01:36 So just being in shape, being mentally, being able to think really fast and
01:41 just simulating that in practice is huge.
01:43 It's a big thing we do all week.
01:45 So yeah, it's definitely gonna be an important factor in the game.
01:47 >> You faced some quarterbacks who were, I'd say,
01:50 more escapability necessarily than threats to run by way of short,
01:55 extense plays, gets outside the pocket.
01:57 Guys like James Delore, you faced before,
01:59 Cam Delore at Washington State was doing similar in that way.
02:01 But those guys didn't have the arm that he has or
02:03 the arsenal of weapons that he has.
02:06 What's unique about Shador and his escapability and
02:08 in your role how you try to corral that?
02:11 >> Yeah, I mean, obviously he escapes and he still makes plays,
02:14 which is pretty cool.
02:16 Our job is to be able to keep him trapped in the pocket and
02:19 put pressure right in his face.
02:21 So that's kinda what we're gonna try to do as a defensive line is just
02:25 pass rush our butts off and try to get to him and don't let him escape.
02:29 And obviously he's able to extend plays,
02:32 which can possibly get his receivers open longer.
02:34 So the back end has to lock down and we have to work together as a rushing
02:38 coverage to make sure that he doesn't have the ability to make big plays.
