00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's Collision Center
00:05 on 1499.3 KLIN.
00:08 Husker head football coach Matt Rule compared his mindset to players who've been on the
00:13 team for a long time with Northern Illinois on the horizon.
00:16 There's a dichotomy here.
00:17 There's two different, there's probably like two different groups, right?
00:19 There's me who's sitting here like, "Man, we're 0-2.
00:22 Okay, we're so close to Minnesota.
00:23 We should have won that game.
00:24 Da da da da.
00:25 Like, okay, we're close.
00:26 Hey, Colorado, man, we just kind of let go of the rope a little bit in the third quarter.
00:29 Putting the ball on the ground uncharacteristically.
00:30 Man, I probably didn't do a good enough job.
00:33 Okay, let's just do this."
00:34 It's just a process for me.
00:35 It's very like methodical, right?
00:36 And it's like, "Hey, let's fix this.
00:37 Let's fix this.
00:38 Oh, that looks good.
00:39 Let's do more of this."
00:40 For a lot of guys, it's like, "Man, three years of this."
00:43 You know?
00:44 And they're hearing that probably out there a lot, right?
00:45 And it's like, for me, it's two games.
00:48 For them, it's three or four years.
00:49 And so it feels hopeless.
00:50 To me, it feels exciting, exhilarating.
00:52 The Huskers will look for their first win Saturday night against the Huskies.
00:56 With this Husker Max practice report, I'm Matt McMaster.
