Matt Rhule and Gabe Ervin on the Nebraska offense
Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's Collision Center
00:05 on 1499.3 KLIN.
00:08 Husker football head coach Matt Rule said the offense just is not playing as one.
00:13 We're just not in sync offensively and I 100% blame myself because we're really good on
00:18 defense and we're really chaotic on defense and I think if I would have planned this out
00:23 better in my brain I think our offense just never quite got in rhythm and camp because
00:26 they're always kind of reacting to the blitz. We had eight sacks and could have had 12 or
00:31 13 versus a really good offense. So I think we kind of became very reactive in camp and
00:35 we didn't start off with an FCS school to get our rhythm. We started off with Minnesota
00:40 top 10 defense.
00:41 Running back Gabe Irvin Jr. said there's one massive thing the offense needs to do to improve.
00:46 You know execute. Execute is the biggest word for this offense. We have to execute, do our
00:50 job, do our job to the fullest and let everything take for itself. You have to play free. We
00:55 each have to play free and execute the job.
00:57 With this Husker Match Practice Report, I'm Matt McMaster.
