00:01:05 Because I'm getting juiced up, I'm already juiced up.
00:01:07 - I'm so excited.
00:01:09 - Okay, Megalodons, here we go!
00:01:13 (dramatic music)
00:01:15 65 million years ago.
00:01:26 (crunching)
00:01:27 Ah, such as nature works.
00:01:30 - Yeah, bye-bye, little bug.
00:01:32 - And what's gonna eat that?
00:01:33 - Uh, okay.
00:01:36 - Oh! - Oh!
00:01:36 - Oh, yeah!
00:01:38 Cool.
00:01:42 - Whoa!
00:01:45 - Whoa!
00:01:46 - Tyrannosaurus!
00:01:47 (laughing)
00:01:49 Tyrannosaurus!
00:01:50 - Yes!
00:01:51 Oh my God!
00:01:54 (gasping)
00:01:56 Are they like, we can take you, T-Rex, or what?
00:01:58 No, okay. - Okay, they turned around.
00:02:00 That's not a good sign.
00:02:01 - Oh boy, please let this shark jump right,
00:02:04 if the shark eats him alive.
00:02:06 - Like, what y'all running from?
00:02:11 I know I'm scared, but--
00:02:14 - Uh-oh.
00:02:15 No, not the T-Rex!
00:02:17 - Oh!
00:02:18 (laughing)
00:02:23 Oh my God, yes!
00:02:26 I am on board.
00:02:27 - That was a nice tone setter.
00:02:29 - That was awesome.
00:02:30 - But it doesn't matter, we got Jason Statham.
00:02:33 Again, that shark still doesn't stand a chance.
00:02:36 Doesn't matter if it can take out Tyrannosaurus Rex.
00:02:39 - No, it doesn't.
00:02:40 - We got 18 abs.
00:02:42 - He's got so many.
00:02:43 - What's the most amount you can do?
00:02:48 - .5?
00:02:50 - 12.
00:02:51 - Really?
00:02:52 - I can't go past 12 as of right now.
00:02:54 - Not gonna lie, I've never,
00:02:55 I don't think I've tried to do a pull up.
00:02:58 I'll have to get on that.
00:02:59 What is going on in here?
00:03:02 Oh, cool.
00:03:04 - Is that explosive, Jill?
00:03:05 I don't know.
00:03:07 I just know that word from the Arkham games.
00:03:09 Thank you, Batman.
00:03:10 Where is he?
00:03:13 What?
00:03:14 - Oh, awesome.
00:03:15 - In a shipping yard on a boat?
00:03:17 Why is this man anywhere near water anymore?
00:03:22 - He's like, "Dude, I took down Megalodons.
00:03:24 "I ain't afraid of the water."
00:03:25 - That's probably his job now.
00:03:26 He's like, "Come on now, you people pay me to be out here
00:03:29 "'cause I'm awesome with Megas."
00:03:32 - Oh, he snuck aboard, okay.
00:03:38 - Cool.
00:03:39 Jason Statham looks older, but he's still hot AF.
00:03:44 - I just watched him in Snatch.
00:03:46 Obviously, he's way younger,
00:03:47 but dude, he's always been such a badass.
00:03:50 - Yeah.
00:03:51 - He's so cool.
00:03:52 We love you.
00:03:52 - I would release the parrot.
00:04:06 Do it.
00:04:07 - Offer him a cracker.
00:04:08 It worked in Home Alone 3.
00:04:10 - That's funny.
00:04:17 - There's no line that's gonna beat that.
00:04:19 - No.
00:04:21 - Oh.
00:04:21 - Ah-ha.
00:04:23 - Oh.
00:04:26 - Okay, all right.
00:04:29 What are these people doing on this boat?
00:04:33 - Damn. - Cool.
00:04:35 - I mean, we saw them throwing
00:04:36 what looked like oil into the water.
00:04:38 - Oh, is that?
00:04:39 I missed it.
00:04:41 I think maybe I saw it, but I didn't register
00:04:44 'cause you guys know how I am.
00:04:46 - Damn.
00:04:49 - Cool.
00:04:50 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:04:52 Get 'em.
00:04:54 That stair jump was awesome.
00:05:00 - Ooh. - Whoa.
00:05:07 - Ah, into the ocean?
00:05:11 No.
00:05:12 - There you go.
00:05:17 - I see the warrant.
00:05:18 Swipe my pocket.
00:05:19 - I see you in court, you. - Oh.
00:05:23 Does he have a thing?
00:05:24 Yeah, he has a thing in his backpack, right?
00:05:27 - You're 200 miles from shore.
00:05:29 Enjoy your swim.
00:05:30 - Oh, nice.
00:05:35 - Is that Cliff Curtis?
00:05:36 Yeah. - Cool.
00:05:38 - It's like a green James Bond.
00:05:40 - James Bond, yeah, it is.
00:05:42 - Also- - Whoa.
00:05:44 - As we mentioned earlier,
00:05:45 it's like a dark knight-esque with the scape.
00:05:47 - Oh, yeah.
00:05:48 - This is gonna be awesome.
00:05:50 - Define awesome.
00:05:52 - I'm about to.
00:05:52 Opening hatch.
00:05:55 - Whoa.
00:05:57 Oh, that's awesome.
00:06:04 Also, I feel like he'd get in there
00:06:05 and slam his head as they take off right into a wall.
00:06:09 - I kinda wanted to see how it-
00:06:10 - Knocked out, but they're not gonna show us that.
00:06:13 - Initiating suit power up.
00:06:14 - Clear.
00:06:15 - Oh my God, damn.
00:06:19 - Okay.
00:06:22 - 21% increase in power.
00:06:23 - Only 21% and that guy's breaking cement?
00:06:26 - Is that really the little girl from the first one?
00:06:33 - Yeah, she got a little older.
00:06:35 - So obviously that's her brother from Su Yen.
00:06:38 - Okay.
00:06:39 - 'Cause he said favorite niece.
00:06:41 - That guy look familiar to you?
00:06:43 - No, I don't like him.
00:06:44 - You don't like anyone.
00:06:46 - I like you.
00:06:47 - That's 'cause I save your life all the time.
00:06:49 I buy your beers and I back you up in bar fights.
00:06:51 - I would like him too.
00:06:52 - Yeah.
00:06:53 - Can you be my best friend?
00:06:55 - Right?
00:06:55 - Please give a warm welcome
00:06:58 to the director of the institute.
00:07:00 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:04 - Oh, from the last movie, the dead.
00:07:09 - Aw.
00:07:11 - Wait, what?
00:07:12 - No.
00:07:13 - What?
00:07:14 - She died?
00:07:15 - How?
00:07:16 What happened?
00:07:17 - That's her mom.
00:07:18 - Aw, it makes me sad.
00:07:19 I really liked her character a lot.
00:07:21 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:25 - What?
00:07:28 - What?
00:07:31 - What is this?
00:07:32 - Yeah, what is this?
00:07:33 - Is it real?
00:07:34 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:35 - She is the world's only Megalodon in captivity.
00:07:38 - Why do you have that in captivity?
00:07:40 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:42 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:44 - Okay, so they have to study it.
00:07:46 - Clearly they didn't watch Deep Blue Sea.
00:07:48 - Thanks to you, we have the ability
00:07:50 to go further than ever before.
00:07:53 (speaking in foreign language)
00:07:56 - I'm all for what he just said,
00:07:59 but do we have to have that in captivity?
00:08:02 - No, I mean, this is movie writing
00:08:06 at its best for a sequel.
00:08:08 They're like, let's just have it be there
00:08:10 and then bad stuff happen.
00:08:12 - Who wants to get a selfie with the man
00:08:14 who fought a Megalodon and lived to tell the tale?
00:08:17 We give you, ladies and gentlemen, Jonas Taylor.
00:08:21 - I really-- - AKA 18 Abs.
00:08:23 - Yeah, I really hope they cut to them training the shark,
00:08:26 like doing a whistle and giving it fish.
00:08:30 - He probably would be like one of the most famous men
00:08:32 in the world.
00:08:33 Why?
00:08:36 Why?
00:08:40 (dramatic music)
00:08:41 - Oh, with that suit, I guess it's--
00:08:44 - The nano, yeah. - Yeah.
00:08:46 - I want to dive the trench.
00:08:47 - No.
00:08:48 - I'm almost diving all the time at my age.
00:08:50 - Not to 25,000 feet.
00:08:52 - Saying it's too dangerous?
00:08:54 - Just a little.
00:08:56 - In psychology, they call that cognitive dissonance.
00:08:59 - In the real world, they call it parenting.
00:09:02 - I like that description.
00:09:04 - Your forte.
00:09:05 - Exactly.
00:09:06 I know every system on Mono One.
00:09:08 - She's been fixing ships since she was like five.
00:09:11 - Why are you swimming with the Meg, Jumay?
00:09:14 - I'm conducting an experiment.
00:09:16 - God, it's gonna be like Tiki versus human all over again,
00:09:19 except with a Megalodon.
00:09:20 - Did you hear what he just said?
00:09:22 He said, "Is the experiment, do I taste good?"
00:09:24 - Oh, yeah.
00:09:25 - I am all in for Team Shark.
00:09:26 - What?
00:09:27 You can't bet on a shark, man.
00:09:29 That's a bad compliment.
00:09:31 - Hey, look who's back. - Hey, he's back.
00:09:33 - Glad to respectfully suggest
00:09:34 that this is truly a terrible idea.
00:09:36 - Megs and humanity would never been a mix.
00:09:38 - Yeah.
00:09:40 - She and I have a special bond.
00:09:42 - Oh, God.
00:09:43 Every SeaWorld trainer circa 2000.
00:09:46 - Right?
00:09:47 What are you doing?
00:09:52 - I kinda wanna reach out and pet it too,
00:09:55 but also I'm a little scared.
00:09:58 - I think she's looking at us.
00:10:00 - She's clocking her dinner for later tonight.
00:10:05 - Yeah, seeing what's on the menu.
00:10:07 - She's coming around.
00:10:08 Heart rate is up.
00:10:10 Moving in fast.
00:10:11 - Oh, God.
00:10:12 - Yeah, dude.
00:10:14 - Heart rate is up?
00:10:15 Good luck, buddy.
00:10:17 - Hi, Fiji. - Jermaine.
00:10:18 - She's not responding.
00:10:19 - Come on, Hiji.
00:10:20 - 200 meters.
00:10:21 - Say bye-bye.
00:10:26 - It's too late.
00:10:27 She's coming in too fast.
00:10:28 - 60 meters.
00:10:29 - Oh, my God.
00:10:30 - Hold the cord.
00:10:32 - What's he gonna do?
00:10:32 - You're still making it harder.
00:10:34 - No, no, no.
00:10:35 - No, did he just eat him?
00:10:37 Oh, my God.
00:10:39 Yeah.
00:10:40 - What?
00:10:44 What, what?
00:10:46 - Did he just shoop up?
00:10:48 'Cause we didn't see it.
00:10:48 - Yeah, he did something where he was pulling to the side.
00:10:51 It was still a dumb idea in my opinion.
00:10:53 - You're taking bigger and bigger risks
00:10:56 each time you go out.
00:10:57 I guess we both know about that.
00:10:59 - The guy who jumped into the water with the Meg
00:11:01 just said, "You're taking bigger risks."
00:11:03 Just saying.
00:11:05 - I think battling some humans.
00:11:06 - And he's just trying to save the environment.
00:11:08 - Yeah.
00:11:09 I think battling a few humans is not as big of a deal.
00:11:12 - Yeah.
00:11:13 - Probably does.
00:11:17 - It's like we can relate, I guess.
00:11:19 - Yeah, but not.
00:11:21 - I mean, the concept is interesting, but.
00:11:27 - Yeah, any depth, that's a little scary.
00:11:30 - Oh.
00:11:32 (speaking in foreign language)
00:11:36 - Yikes.
00:11:40 (speaking in foreign language)
00:11:44 - I missed you guys.
00:11:48 - Are you ready to do some diving?
00:11:50 - I still love Jason Statham in this film.
00:11:53 He just like, he looks a little bored.
00:11:55 - Yeah.
00:11:56 - But he's- - Not as active.
00:11:59 - Yeah, but I still love him, obviously.
00:12:02 I'm still happy that he's here.
00:12:03 - Yeah.
00:12:04 - Like, "Oh, I gotta battle this damn megalodon."
00:12:10 - Heike's gonna escape.
00:12:12 - Ah! - Oh, what is this
00:12:15 zombie eye business?
00:12:18 What just happened?
00:12:19 - Yeah, I think you're right.
00:12:21 Figuring out his escape.
00:12:23 What, is he gonna ram it?
00:12:25 - I mean, you're probably strong enough.
00:12:27 Do it enough times.
00:12:28 - Ah! - Yeah!
00:12:31 - That quickly, you got out?
00:12:34 Amazing.
00:12:35 - Why wouldn't it be strong?
00:12:37 - I feel like those would be reinforced
00:12:39 a little bit better, but okay.
00:12:40 - Yeah, why wouldn't it be like,
00:12:42 the strong, oh my goodness.
00:12:43 - I figured it would take a couple of rammings.
00:12:46 - Everyone, let's get this show underwater.
00:12:48 - Dive one and dive two.
00:12:49 Descend to 25,000 feet.
00:12:51 We are exploring area 19.
00:12:53 - So now they're gonna be,
00:12:54 that's gonna be a conflict for her
00:12:56 because it's gonna be a megalodon she grew up with
00:12:59 'cause it was a baby megalodon
00:13:00 and now they're gonna have to battle it, I guess.
00:13:03 - Ready for the drop, guys?
00:13:05 - Yeah, and I'm still always amazed
00:13:14 in this and the first film,
00:13:16 the visuals are always there.
00:13:17 - Yeah, so good.
00:13:19 We're going on a shark adventure.
00:13:23 - I'm still with you, what you said in the first film.
00:13:24 I wanna hear "Under the Sea."
00:13:26 - Yeah.
00:13:27 - Can you confirm O2 levels?
00:13:29 - Consumption is 11% over mission spec.
00:13:32 - It's Regus's.
00:13:34 - Nervous.
00:13:35 - More like you're a mouth breather.
00:13:36 - If there was a leak, there'd be a fluctuation
00:13:39 on the readings.
00:13:40 I'm not seeing anything here.
00:13:41 - Check the pressure on the auxiliary.
00:13:43 - Uh-oh, did she sneak aboard?
00:13:44 Uh-oh.
00:13:45 - Jonas.
00:13:46 - Oh, crap.
00:13:49 That's not good.
00:13:50 - I see that you're angry,
00:13:52 but I believe that this is a reasonable
00:13:54 and responsible decision.
00:13:56 - Can I just say,
00:13:58 I did all kinds of stupid things when I was 14.
00:14:00 - Oh my goodness, really?
00:14:02 - This is your 26th trench dive without incident.
00:14:04 Subs have electric predator countermeasures
00:14:06 and emergency dive suits.
00:14:08 - Which you don't have.
00:14:09 - Actually.
00:14:10 - Yeah, she's smart enough.
00:14:12 - It's like I thought of everything.
00:14:14 - We've got company.
00:14:15 (phone rings)
00:14:16 - Oh!
00:14:17 - Guys, it's a Meg.
00:14:18 Approaching pass.
00:14:19 - Eh.
00:14:20 - It's high key.
00:14:22 - Dive, flank speed.
00:14:23 - Engaging, rerouting battery.
00:14:25 - This was the perfect trench run
00:14:27 for you to sneak aboard.
00:14:28 - Yeah.
00:14:29 - You get to see some action.
00:14:31 - Impossible.
00:14:32 - Well, impossible just got possible.
00:14:34 - 500 meters to the thermocline.
00:14:35 - High G's closing fast.
00:14:37 - 100 meters.
00:14:38 (screams)
00:14:39 - Oh.
00:14:40 - She's quick.
00:14:41 (screams)
00:14:42 - Come on, come on.
00:14:43 - Entering the thermocline.
00:14:44 (laughs)
00:14:45 - Cool.
00:14:46 - Careful, you don't wanna burn out the engines.
00:14:48 - Don't worry, I'm not gonna break the pretty toys.
00:14:51 - I feel like you are.
00:14:55 It says warning.
00:14:57 - Ah, that's so spooky.
00:14:59 - But cool too.
00:15:01 - She must have followed our heat signature.
00:15:02 (roaring)
00:15:04 - Oh my God.
00:15:08 (laughs)
00:15:10 - That got me good.
00:15:15 - Oh, that's great.
00:15:16 - She must have escaped.
00:15:17 How did that happen?
00:15:18 - That's why you don't have a pet shark.
00:15:21 - Proximity alert.
00:15:22 Megs.
00:15:23 - Ah, she's calling him.
00:15:26 (dramatic music)
00:15:29 (screams)
00:15:30 - Oh, that dude looks old and ready to fight.
00:15:34 Like, has been through 17 wars.
00:15:36 - Oh my.
00:15:37 - Oh my goodness.
00:15:40 - Biggest Meg anyone's ever seen.
00:15:42 - She's terrifying.
00:15:44 - We have to see what they're up to.
00:15:46 - And what about Mei Ying?
00:15:48 - Well, I bet we go.
00:15:48 - Do you not have any fear, kid?
00:15:51 - No, man, she grew up with mom.
00:15:52 She's been around Megs her whole life.
00:15:54 - If you see anything dangerous, pull in the plug.
00:15:57 - Meg, we're changing the mission profile.
00:16:00 (laughs)
00:16:01 - I do like that that girl's on her side,
00:16:03 'cause I would be too.
00:16:04 I'd be like, she's 14, whatever.
00:16:06 - This is an exploration mission.
00:16:08 Let's explore.
00:16:09 - We gonna follow some giant sharks to an unknown sector?
00:16:12 - I'm with him.
00:16:13 I'm with him.
00:16:15 - Yeah, I don't think they should be following him,
00:16:16 but I feel like Mei Ying, she's all right.
00:16:19 - He's the only one who has logic and sense.
00:16:21 - Yeah.
00:16:21 - I've seen enough shark movies to know
00:16:23 you don't follow where the sharks are.
00:16:25 - But we need to follow the movie tropes for the action.
00:16:28 - For entertainment purposes, of course, I want them to.
00:16:31 But if it were me, of course, I'm not going to have it.
00:16:35 - Your mom loved this place more than anything.
00:16:37 - I'm glad I finally get to see it.
00:16:39 - Don't get used to it.
00:16:40 - It's a proud time.
00:16:41 - You're grounded for the rest of your life.
00:16:44 - That's a reasonable response.
00:16:46 - It's some instinctual gathering.
00:16:49 - Incredible.
00:16:50 - They're here to mate.
00:16:53 - That's why Haiji has been acting strangely.
00:16:55 - Oh, right.
00:16:57 Momangs.
00:16:58 - No way.
00:17:00 - X.
00:17:02 - Is that a wreck?
00:17:03 - That's not that ship from the beginning, is it?
00:17:07 - I don't think so.
00:17:09 - I can't see what's inside.
00:17:11 - Multiple airlocks, power generation.
00:17:13 The resources needed is staggering.
00:17:16 - Who would even have the technology?
00:17:18 - Oh, is what's his nuts back from the office?
00:17:21 - No, he died.
00:17:23 - Yeah, he died in the first movie.
00:17:24 - Yeah, he died.
00:17:25 'Cause he was the money man.
00:17:26 - Yeah, well, this is the only place to mine this stuff.
00:17:30 Slow and steady.
00:17:33 - Oh, it's the guy with the glasses
00:17:35 and he said, "I don't like him."
00:17:37 At the party.
00:17:38 - Okay.
00:17:40 - It's the competition.
00:17:41 - Manawan cruise below us.
00:17:46 There's no way they haven't seen the station.
00:17:50 - I'm arming the explosives right now.
00:17:52 - Explosives?
00:17:53 - There isn't time, you know there isn't time.
00:17:55 It'll take 10 minutes to get clear.
00:17:57 - Sorry guys.
00:17:58 - What?
00:17:59 - What?
00:18:00 - Don't do it.
00:18:00 - See, that's the difference.
00:18:01 (all yelling)
00:18:03 - Yep.
00:18:04 - Oh my God.
00:18:08 - I can't get ahead of it.
00:18:09 I'm gonna have to go through.
00:18:10 - Oh my goodness.
00:18:12 - I was gonna say, that's the difference
00:18:13 between him and Jonas.
00:18:15 Like, he did it maliciously where Jonas had no choice
00:18:18 to do it in the first film.
00:18:19 - Right.
00:18:20 (all yelling)
00:18:24 - Is that the bad ship?
00:18:25 I hope so.
00:18:26 Oh no.
00:18:27 - Yeah, we want him to get eaten, the bad guy.
00:18:29 - Yeah, yeah.
00:18:30 Oh, okay, good, it was.
00:18:32 Dude, you're blowing up underneath the ocean?
00:18:37 Like what the F?
00:18:39 - Well, that's gonna release them.
00:18:43 - Yeah, there we go.
00:18:44 - I mean, that's, what is that, three megs under there?
00:18:48 - Yeah.
00:18:49 - Jeez.
00:18:50 - And there might be a birth soon.
00:18:52 They were mating.
00:18:54 - Well, we gotta have a meg three, so.
00:18:58 (all yelling)
00:19:00 - Oh boy, all right.
00:19:05 - I thought she said I'm not gonna hurt the toys.
00:19:07 (all yelling)
00:19:09 - Go, go, go.
00:19:14 Full throttle, full throttle.
00:19:17 - Oh boy.
00:19:18 (bombs exploding)
00:19:19 - Whoa, that is, oh my goodness.
00:19:23 Are they gonna get buried alive?
00:19:28 What if the megalodon goes after the things
00:19:30 and breaks up the rock and then they still live?
00:19:33 - The rescue sub isn't working.
00:19:36 - The battery array was deliberately shorted out.
00:19:38 It looks like sabotage.
00:19:39 - How's that possible?
00:19:40 - Is it her uncle?
00:19:42 - Well, how long to fix it?
00:19:43 - It's the control board's map.
00:19:44 There is no fixing it.
00:19:46 - Who would sabotage it?
00:19:47 I'm confused.
00:19:49 - We're losing air fast.
00:19:51 - Route the power through the heating cell.
00:19:53 - I like that they're not just putting Jason Statham
00:19:58 in there to fix it, that it's like the women fixing it.
00:20:01 And he kind of hasn't had much to do, but like.
00:20:04 - Almost every system is down and we're losing air fast.
00:20:06 We get into the emergency dive suits
00:20:08 and we're gonna need a ride up.
00:20:11 - That's gonna be a problem.
00:20:12 - It's not gonna be possible.
00:20:14 - Oh my goodness.
00:20:16 - Battery array.
00:20:17 They shorted out the control board and the rescue sub.
00:20:19 Jonas, we can't get to you.
00:20:21 - I'm gonna walk.
00:20:23 - Oh, do they have those Mecco suits or whatever?
00:20:26 - Those suits have two hours air time.
00:20:27 - Oh, see, there you go.
00:20:28 - You will go slow and steady.
00:20:30 They'll hold.
00:20:30 It's three kilometers.
00:20:32 You'll be defenseless out there.
00:20:34 - I just want to see him punched.
00:20:36 - Yeah.
00:20:37 - This is what we got and this is what we're gonna do.
00:20:38 - Yeah, we're not just gonna die down here.
00:20:40 - This is too similar to that Titanic situation
00:20:44 that just recently happened.
00:20:45 - Yeah.
00:20:46 - Filming happened way before that,
00:20:48 but still it's kind of meta.
00:20:50 - Yeah.
00:20:51 Ooh, but they get weapons.
00:20:52 - The radios weren't relayed to the surface,
00:20:54 so we got in dark.
00:20:56 Talk to you on the other side.
00:20:58 - Godspeed, Jonas.
00:20:59 - Who sabotaged the ship?
00:21:01 I need to know.
00:21:02 - I was about to ask you, any predictions on who it was?
00:21:03 - I mean, there's a little bit, like, I'm like the--
00:21:06 - One of the women?
00:21:07 - I don't think the uncle would do that.
00:21:08 - I don't think it was the uncle.
00:21:10 - I was just like, well, why was he like,
00:21:12 let's push down to go see all the sharks.
00:21:14 Like, it's not him, 'cause it wouldn't make sense.
00:21:17 - One of those women on board, or no?
00:21:19 Or do you think it was the woman with the glasses, or no?
00:21:22 Maybe it was that guy who was on the other ship with them.
00:21:26 - Oh yeah, maybe he knew where they were,
00:21:28 and was like, no, they--
00:21:30 - Or it could have been the other guy that we didn't like
00:21:33 that blew up the other ship when he went to the party.
00:21:35 He could have, I don't know.
00:21:37 'Cause we didn't really see what he was doing at the party.
00:21:40 Don't know.
00:21:41 - I feel like no one going down in these two
00:21:44 could have done it, even though my initial thought--
00:21:46 - 'Cause why would they sabotage their own ship?
00:21:47 - Their own safety in going down, so.
00:21:49 - You put your own life at risk.
00:21:51 I hope that wasn't a foreshadowing.
00:21:57 How is everyone so calm right now?
00:22:10 Be like, freaking out.
00:22:12 - They're ocean workers.
00:22:14 (screaming)
00:22:15 - Oh my God.
00:22:16 Oh, oh, yep.
00:22:20 Is it gonna squish you?
00:22:22 It'll let go.
00:22:24 Oh my--
00:22:25 - No touching stuff.
00:22:26 - See, this is why I wouldn't be calm.
00:22:29 For this particular reason.
00:22:31 - But it's so pretty down there.
00:22:32 - I understand, but megalodons are not pretty
00:22:36 when they're gonna eat ya.
00:22:38 - Angry?
00:22:39 - That sub was definitely sabotaged
00:22:40 by some little mole on the station.
00:22:42 - I think it's that guy from the, did the bombs,
00:22:44 but that's my guess.
00:22:45 - When the personnel files on the crew,
00:22:47 look for anything suspect.
00:22:48 We're gonna get these sons of bitches,
00:22:49 but we have to watch our own backs.
00:22:51 - You're probably right.
00:22:52 Well, did he die though?
00:22:54 Did that thing die?
00:22:55 Did he get blown up and die?
00:22:57 - I couldn't tell.
00:22:57 - It looked like it, but I don't know.
00:22:59 - I feel like it was too early in the film
00:23:01 to get rid of the main villain.
00:23:02 That's not the sharks.
00:23:05 - It would make sense that they were like,
00:23:06 we don't want, we built a thing,
00:23:08 we never want them to discover our thing down there.
00:23:12 - Ugh.
00:23:13 I'd say he's the first one to go.
00:23:16 - Well, yeah, he's gonna lose that oxygen
00:23:18 before he even gets eaten.
00:23:19 - I say shark before oxygen.
00:23:25 (shark roars)
00:23:28 - Len?
00:23:30 - What was it?
00:23:31 - Are we going with the Jaws approach of not seeing?
00:23:34 - He just fell in a hole.
00:23:35 - Something's happened to him.
00:23:36 I know it.
00:23:37 - Oh boy, there goes the helmet.
00:23:39 - Oh no.
00:23:41 - We have to keep moving.
00:23:42 - No, we can't just leave him out there.
00:23:44 We need to find him.
00:23:46 - Where are you going to?
00:23:46 - He's dead, honey.
00:23:48 - I understand, but where are you going to go?
00:23:51 Like search all over the place for him?
00:23:53 - Also, when it's that deep, you would just die,
00:23:55 I think, immediately from the pressure.
00:23:57 - Oh, this is the main villain, right?
00:24:03 - Oh good, he's still alive, yeah.
00:24:05 - You say good, I say bad.
00:24:06 - Action, he's going to give us some action.
00:24:11 - It's her, jeez.
00:24:13 - She's the saboteur, so I was half right.
00:24:17 - Yeah, you were.
00:24:19 - That's a good idea.
00:24:29 - Oh God.
00:24:35 - You're not going to make it, honey.
00:24:38 - I'd still rather go from suffocation
00:24:40 than from a meg, eat me after.
00:24:42 - I got something.
00:24:45 - Keeps going in and out.
00:24:46 - Stoking us.
00:24:47 - From heaven to earth.
00:24:50 - Okay.
00:24:54 - What is this, a piranha movie now?
00:24:55 - See a fish?
00:24:57 - Just to show a fish.
00:24:58 - I mean, they running from something though, y'all.
00:25:02 - Maybe 400 meters.
00:25:03 - So close.
00:25:08 - Yeah, so far.
00:25:09 - Just stop crying and panicking.
00:25:15 - That moment right there just reminded me
00:25:17 of the first film where she was talking DJ,
00:25:19 like, dude, calm down, just relax.
00:25:21 - Ah.
00:25:31 - Oh, oh, oh, those ones.
00:25:35 Ooh, they'll eat you up, good.
00:25:36 - Wait, what are the piranha, what are those?
00:25:40 - They're like dinosaur fish.
00:25:42 Oh, they'll get ya.
00:25:43 Oh.
00:25:45 Oh, that's tough.
00:25:49 Right, those suits punch really hard.
00:25:52 - Yeah, break cement.
00:25:55 - Come on, get it.
00:26:05 (dramatic music)
00:26:08 - Ooh.
00:26:15 - Nope, this is not good.
00:26:19 - I think the Megs need to come and save them.
00:26:22 - There are so many.
00:26:23 Well, they don't like the light.
00:26:26 - Yeah, but is he calling for the Megs to scare them off?
00:26:29 - I don't know, maybe.
00:26:31 Maybe Haiji will come through for 'em.
00:26:34 - Yeah.
00:26:35 - That reminds me of Jurassic Park, remember?
00:26:41 Over here, over here. - Oh yeah, yeah.
00:26:43 - Oh, don't tell me he's sacrificing himself.
00:26:50 - Maybe.
00:26:50 - Oh, let's go.
00:26:59 Come on, run, puppies.
00:27:01 Ah.
00:27:02 Ah.
00:27:03 Oh boy.
00:27:05 That looks awesome, though.
00:27:09 (screaming)
00:27:15 Oh my goodness.
00:27:18 - It's not too far.
00:27:19 You can make it.
00:27:21 - I don't think she's gonna make it.
00:27:22 - This is when you just go, "Take me."
00:27:26 - This is, yeah, I was gonna say,
00:27:28 that's a trope in Meg where people
00:27:30 like to sacrifice themselves.
00:27:32 - Whoa.
00:27:34 (screaming)
00:27:35 No, no, no, no.
00:27:36 - Oh wait, I couldn't see, did he?
00:27:38 - I don't know, just like we don't know
00:27:39 with Jason and Mei Ling.
00:27:41 Like, no, they didn't end up.
00:27:43 - Ah.
00:27:45 - Whoa.
00:27:53 - They're not gonna make it.
00:28:00 (screaming)
00:28:03 - Oh, za.
00:28:03 - No.
00:28:13 - At least it's a quick death.
00:28:17 I mean.
00:28:18 - That would be so much pressure with an explosion.
00:28:21 - Getting ready for Halloween already.
00:28:25 Oh man, you better watch out,
00:28:26 not put your mouth in that water.
00:28:28 There's a dead head exploded up in there, right?
00:28:31 Yep.
00:28:32 - Oh.
00:28:32 - Yeah, 'cause it wasn't depressurized when that happened.
00:28:36 - Yeah, I'd be like,
00:28:37 "I'm gonna keep my helmet on for a minute."
00:28:40 - I hate you, Mei.
00:28:42 - Hey, Regis.
00:28:45 (groaning)
00:28:48 - I still don't understand why that woman
00:28:49 who's the villain is spending money on them
00:28:51 to build the underground thing
00:28:52 that they don't want them to find,
00:28:54 but also put in money with Marwan.
00:28:57 She's the money person.
00:28:58 Hopefully they will explain that.
00:29:01 - Nobody home.
00:29:02 Who is running this?
00:29:04 It's not our friend.
00:29:07 We need to contact Model 1 ASAP.
00:29:08 You can handle it?
00:29:10 - Yeah, yeah, sure.
00:29:11 - This is not the--
00:29:12 - Get it, girl.
00:29:13 - What is this that they're mining?
00:29:15 - Whatever it is,
00:29:17 they're sending it up to the surface with these pods.
00:29:19 - Mining crystals?
00:29:23 - They're used in superconductors,
00:29:24 aerospace, and quantum computing.
00:29:26 This box alone could be a billion dollars.
00:29:31 - Oh.
00:29:32 - Mining for fine gems.
00:29:34 - Oh my God.
00:29:35 - Oh, goodness.
00:29:36 - You're alive.
00:29:37 - I was going over the video
00:29:38 of when you went over that station before.
00:29:41 - Looks like emergency escape pods.
00:29:44 - Oh, they can use those.
00:29:45 I bet you that lady's gonna be like,
00:29:46 "How do you expect me to pay for Marwan
00:29:48 without me illegally mining jewels
00:29:50 at the bottom of the ocean?"
00:29:53 - These are my designs.
00:29:55 How do they have this?
00:29:56 - It's an inside job.
00:29:58 Think about who could get that stuff in there.
00:30:01 You'll figure it out.
00:30:03 - On three.
00:30:04 Three.
00:30:05 - Come on, Jason Statham could do that by himself.
00:30:11 Please.
00:30:12 - Mei-Ling's gonna figure it out.
00:30:13 She's gonna be like, "Here you go."
00:30:14 - Turn the key, press it.
00:30:17 Still, I know Jason Statham could still do that on his own,
00:30:20 I don't buy it.
00:30:21 Now it's really a good thing she came along.
00:30:23 - I really wouldn't have figured that out.
00:30:25 - You need to close the hatch.
00:30:26 - On it.
00:30:27 - That wasn't me.
00:30:30 - We need to talk handedly.
00:30:31 I have full control of the station
00:30:33 and I've locked down this room.
00:30:34 - Oh, she's working with the lady?
00:30:36 - Three of our friends are dead because of you.
00:30:38 - That's the first escape pod.
00:30:43 - I guess you can save Mei-Ying.
00:30:45 Take that spear gun and shoot Jonas in the heart.
00:30:48 - Why?
00:30:49 He's barely done anything.
00:30:51 Like, give him a wink to be like, "Fake it."
00:30:53 - Do it.
00:30:54 - Or they can do a fake out like you said.
00:30:56 - Yeah, you should do it.
00:30:58 - Also, too, he's...
00:30:58 - I'm sorry.
00:30:59 I'm sorry.
00:31:00 I'm sorry I killed my friend.
00:31:02 - He's gonna say he's got 18 naps, he'll survive.
00:31:04 - We'll be back at work in a week
00:31:06 using your technology to take whatever we want.
00:31:10 - She's chewing up the scenery.
00:31:11 - We'll make billions
00:31:13 and no one is going to see the damage we do.
00:31:16 - Ya be good.
00:31:17 - Down, teacher.
00:31:20 - Finish this.
00:31:22 (computer beeps)
00:31:23 - Yeah, stupid ecosystem.
00:31:25 It's all about the money.
00:31:26 All about the Benjamins.
00:31:28 - Oh, come on.
00:31:29 - If we could cut the company to the surface.
00:31:32 - Mei-Ying will figure it out.
00:31:34 She knows computer stuff.
00:31:36 Come on.
00:31:37 - I'm telling you, if I were them,
00:31:38 I would have just told them what they want to hear,
00:31:40 go back and then you do what you do to them.
00:31:42 - He can force water into sinus cavities.
00:31:44 He could survive 30, maybe 60 seconds before he passes out.
00:31:47 - Oh, all right, buddy.
00:31:49 He's gonna do it.
00:31:50 - If we do what's in front of us,
00:31:52 then we do the next thing.
00:31:53 - All right, now shut off the flooding, mate.
00:31:55 - I will say, even though I said he looked bored
00:31:57 in this film as an actor,
00:31:59 he's really doing a good job
00:32:00 filling the surrogate father role.
00:32:02 Like you really do feel-
00:32:03 - A connection between them.
00:32:04 - Yeah, not only that, but like the passage of time
00:32:07 between films that they've had with each other.
00:32:09 - Yeah, I agree.
00:32:19 - It's like security guards.
00:32:21 Don't attract them.
00:32:22 - That wasn't the Meg, that was the other thing, okay.
00:32:28 Oh boy, I think it's been 30 seconds.
00:32:30 Did you do it?
00:32:31 - Oh, he's about to pass out.
00:32:33 - Oh, I think he did it.
00:32:35 You did it, right?
00:32:36 Oh God, yeah, tough.
00:32:38 Did he get in there?
00:32:39 - This is like an acid trip.
00:32:40 - Oh my God, let him out.
00:32:42 - You don't even remember me, do you?
00:32:44 - There's a million scumbags in this world.
00:32:46 I saw them, I kept track of all of them.
00:32:49 (thudding)
00:32:50 - Yes.
00:32:51 - There we go, let's get into it.
00:32:53 - I was gonna say like fighting a human being
00:32:55 is so like nonchalant for him after fighting Megalodon.
00:32:58 - Yeah.
00:32:59 - It's like, this is nothing.
00:33:00 - Yeah, buddy.
00:33:09 - Yeah. - Cool.
00:33:18 - Oh, there we go.
00:33:20 - This is how they get turned into minerals, the rocks.
00:33:23 (groaning)
00:33:27 God, I felt that one.
00:33:28 Ooh.
00:33:32 - Nice.
00:33:33 - Yes, yes.
00:33:38 - Right at the, oh, the nick of time.
00:33:42 - Ooh.
00:33:43 - Come on, buddy, you can do it.
00:33:44 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:33:47 (beeping)
00:33:49 - Hit the red button, hit it.
00:33:51 - Oh, man.
00:33:53 - Ah, okay, I'm not a doctor,
00:33:57 but how are you still getting up
00:33:59 after those metal shots to the face?
00:34:03 - Oh, are they gonna discover the truth?
00:34:05 - The truth shall set you free or piss you off.
00:34:13 - We'll never make it past the Megs.
00:34:14 - We need a distraction.
00:34:15 - Light up the station.
00:34:16 - The Megs will attack it.
00:34:18 - And kill us.
00:34:19 - Let's see where fast enough.
00:34:21 - Are we doing the Meg thing of sacrificing ourself?
00:34:23 What are we doing here?
00:34:24 (speaking in foreign language)
00:34:28 - Gotta go with the hatch, Jonas.
00:34:34 - So it seems like they're having them attack the base
00:34:36 while they ship out.
00:34:38 - He's gonna make it.
00:34:39 - No, he's not.
00:34:40 - Oh, no, is this--
00:34:41 - He's gonna make it.
00:34:43 - Jonas waiting like he didn't have to in the first movie?
00:34:47 - Jonas!
00:34:49 - Facing your demons of waiting, not waiting.
00:34:53 It's like, hey, waiting worked this time.
00:34:57 - There's a hole in the thermal layer.
00:35:00 - Oh, yeah.
00:35:01 - Oh, they're gonna be able to escape.
00:35:03 - Yeah.
00:35:03 - It will seal up eventually.
00:35:05 - I mean, I'm a dumb dumb,
00:35:07 but is there a way to fix the hole or no way?
00:35:10 (roaring)
00:35:12 - Time?
00:35:13 What is that?
00:35:14 Is that like a mega octopus?
00:35:16 - Yeah, well, didn't we see one in the first movie?
00:35:19 - Yeah, I just forgot about it.
00:35:22 - How are you escaping?
00:35:25 - Oh, smart.
00:35:27 - And how are you not in ultra pain
00:35:29 from the metal shots you took?
00:35:31 - I don't wanna harm you,
00:35:32 but I do need you to come out of this room.
00:35:34 - He's got three soldiers.
00:35:36 - Take this.
00:35:38 - The hell is this?
00:35:38 - It's a tazer.
00:35:39 (thudding)
00:35:40 - Oh, love that.
00:35:42 - You're gonna open the door and I'm gonna pepper spray 'em.
00:35:44 Framing, you're gonna sit the door and you're gonna wait.
00:35:46 Then go out there and use the tazer.
00:35:47 - I love it, I love it, do it.
00:35:50 (laughing)
00:35:52 Yes, oh God, no.
00:35:55 Come on, really, really?
00:35:58 No, you did not.
00:36:00 - That really worked?
00:36:01 - You tazed yourself in the eye, buddy.
00:36:03 You're smarter than that, I don't like that writing part.
00:36:06 - Pepper sprayed himself, right?
00:36:07 - Oh, accident, I just saw him go up with the tazer
00:36:09 and I'm like--
00:36:10 - I thought he pepper sprayed himself accidentally.
00:36:12 - What's it say?
00:36:13 - Terrorist action?
00:36:15 - Yeah, good, terrorist action.
00:36:17 (laughing)
00:36:18 - I love these two.
00:36:20 Oh, DJ, where did that come?
00:36:25 - Get it.
00:36:26 - Where did that come from, I love it.
00:36:28 Oh my God, DJ!
00:36:30 - Oh, nice!
00:36:31 - Oh my God.
00:36:34 (gunshots)
00:36:37 - I'm not gonna lie, that might have been
00:36:38 my favorite moment in both films.
00:36:39 - That was awesome.
00:36:40 (screaming)
00:36:42 - Because it was unexpected.
00:36:44 - That was awesome, nice roundhouse.
00:36:46 - He's like, after the first film,
00:36:48 I'm taking karate lessons or kung fu, whatever he did.
00:36:51 Whatever style of fighting that was, that was awesome.
00:36:55 - I trained up, I learned how to fight,
00:36:56 I learned how to swim, and I will never go anywhere
00:36:59 without my survival pack.
00:37:00 - Survival pack.
00:37:01 - Heck yeah.
00:37:02 - I'm glad he learned how to train,
00:37:03 even though I don't know how to swim.
00:37:04 - I'm glad he learned how to train,
00:37:06 even though I don't know what that would have been with the,
00:37:08 oh wow.
00:37:09 (laughing)
00:37:10 - Yeah, I even made poison tip bullets, just like Jaws 2.
00:37:14 - Yeah.
00:37:15 - Yeah.
00:37:16 - Wait, poison tip bullets, just like, oh yeah, yeah,
00:37:18 and Jaws 2, Roy Shatter's character did have,
00:37:21 he shot him into the ocean,
00:37:22 and then it was a school of blue fish,
00:37:26 and he scared the beach goers.
00:37:28 - Oh, that gun's in your face, though.
00:37:30 Dang it.
00:37:31 - That was some unfortunate shit back there.
00:37:34 - I love DJ so much.
00:37:35 (speaking in foreign language)
00:37:38 (laughing)
00:37:39 (speaking in foreign language)
00:37:42 (laughing)
00:37:43 (speaking in foreign language)
00:37:45 - What?
00:37:46 - That was great.
00:37:48 - Cool.
00:37:49 (grunting)
00:37:51 - DJ just sat on him, I love that.
00:37:55 - Are you okay?
00:37:58 - Yeah, I just took some shots to the face.
00:38:02 - We need to lock this place down now.
00:38:04 - Does he have no marks on him, nothing?
00:38:07 - Guys?
00:38:07 - Seems like the Megs are here.
00:38:08 - We've got a big problem.
00:38:10 - Yeah.
00:38:12 - Yeah, three of them.
00:38:17 (laughing)
00:38:18 - It's from the thermocline breach, but you can relax.
00:38:21 This place, Meg proof.
00:38:23 I was also thinking-
00:38:24 (screaming)
00:38:25 (laughing)
00:38:28 - Just with one little punch, it's so easy.
00:38:32 - They paddle out slow, no engines, minimal motion.
00:38:35 They won't look like food.
00:38:36 - I still think we look like food.
00:38:38 - I just stay away from water,
00:38:40 find them once you escape, like after the first movie too.
00:38:43 - Let's not bring them back alive.
00:38:45 You do know how to drive this thing, right?
00:38:50 - You guys?
00:38:50 - Oh yay, you look like food now, dummies.
00:38:53 - Stop the engines right now,
00:38:55 or we will attract the Megs.
00:38:58 - I wanna see him get it.
00:39:00 (dramatic music)
00:39:02 - I have the shot.
00:39:03 - Take it.
00:39:04 - I don't like that you jump, take the bloody shot.
00:39:07 (screaming)
00:39:09 - What do you want me to do?
00:39:13 - Fix it, kill them.
00:39:15 You do this, you write your own ticket.
00:39:17 You are set for life.
00:39:18 - These are the most generic villains ever.
00:39:21 - Yeah.
00:39:22 - We have to find a way to warn people.
00:39:24 In case the Megs move towards land,
00:39:26 there's an island 60 clicks southeast of us.
00:39:29 It's listed as inhabited, fun island.
00:39:32 (laughing)
00:39:33 - What did they say?
00:39:34 Fun island? - Fun island.
00:39:35 - Oh okay, fun island.
00:39:36 - With fun party people.
00:39:38 - Oh, this does look fun.
00:39:39 - Oh, I wanna go to fun island.
00:39:41 - It's about to be scary island, but.
00:39:43 - Y'all need to comment and let me know
00:39:45 if fun island really exists, 'cause I need to go to there.
00:39:47 - Yeah, and where it is too.
00:39:49 Is it Pippin?
00:39:50 Is it Pippin again? - Oh it is.
00:39:52 - OMG.
00:39:53 - And yes, I know people, Pippin is a reference
00:39:56 to the first Jaws movie, Pippin the dog.
00:39:58 - I know, I missed that reference.
00:40:01 Stay out of the water.
00:40:02 Oh, it is Pippin, it's Pippin.
00:40:04 - Yeah.
00:40:05 - Hey, don't let Pippin in the water, please.
00:40:07 He survived the first film, come on.
00:40:09 (speaking in foreign language)
00:40:13 - Oh yeah, they're like, get out of here.
00:40:15 Pippin knows, the dog always knows.
00:40:18 Oh, he's gonna, okay.
00:40:22 - Oh, are we proposing?
00:40:24 Nice ring though.
00:40:28 - Is she gonna say yes, put it on
00:40:29 and get eaten by Meg immediately?
00:40:31 I feel like that's about to happen.
00:40:33 Oh. - Oh no.
00:40:35 (speaking in foreign language)
00:40:36 - Find it, it just dropped, honey.
00:40:39 Oh boy.
00:40:40 - Did she fall in the water?
00:40:47 - Yeah, she went bye bye bye Meg,
00:40:48 but nobody heard it, apparently.
00:40:50 (laughing)
00:40:56 - Oh God, it scared me.
00:40:58 - Oh my God. - Oh, the whole boat.
00:41:01 - Whoa. - One by one.
00:41:06 - Really doing the whole Alfred Hitchcockian job.
00:41:10 Oh, it's the octopus. - Oh, it's the octopus, cool.
00:41:13 - Everybody out of water.
00:41:14 - Sir. - Get back on the beach.
00:41:17 Get out of water.
00:41:18 - Please help, get back on the beach.
00:41:21 - They're like, we're at Fun Island,
00:41:22 we're not getting off the beach.
00:41:27 - Whoa, what's happening here?
00:41:29 - Oh, is it the dinosaur lizards?
00:41:31 - Is it? - Ah, it must be.
00:41:33 - You're joking, guys.
00:41:34 - Yeah, it is. - Yeah, it is.
00:41:35 - Are we gonna see another Tyrannosaurus or is--
00:41:38 - I wish.
00:41:39 Man.
00:41:41 - Ah, the noises.
00:41:47 Oh my God, I'd be freaking out.
00:41:50 - Oh my goodness.
00:41:53 (screaming)
00:41:56 - Whoa.
00:41:57 - Yeah.
00:42:01 This is not-- - Oh my God,
00:42:07 that's so many people inside. - That is such a cool shot,
00:42:08 though.
00:42:09 That shot, though, is amazing.
00:42:12 Is the helicopter my pull down?
00:42:14 - Sonny, check that out.
00:42:16 - No, I want the helicopter shot.
00:42:19 - Yeah, no, it's not.
00:42:20 - Why can't I get my helicopter shot?
00:42:23 - This lady, she's gonna wander around.
00:42:24 - You are really dumb.
00:42:25 You just told your helicopter pilot
00:42:27 to get out of the helicopter and go check.
00:42:30 I can't, I really, really, I can't.
00:42:32 - She's gonna get eaten by a lizard dino.
00:42:34 It's gonna be great.
00:42:35 - Yes, she is, you called it.
00:42:36 Yep, you called it.
00:42:41 - Bye bye, rich lady.
00:42:45 - That reminds me of Newman from Seinfeld in--
00:42:49 - Oh my God, the gun going off.
00:42:52 - That was satisfying, though.
00:42:55 - That was good.
00:42:56 I did not like her much.
00:42:58 - What else you got in here?
00:42:59 - Love it.
00:42:59 - Emergency stuff.
00:43:00 (laughing)
00:43:02 - Really?
00:43:03 (laughing)
00:43:05 - I mean, that is a good thing to have
00:43:08 in case of an emergency.
00:43:09 He ain't wrong.
00:43:10 - Ammonium nitrate.
00:43:12 This stuff is as powerful as TNT.
00:43:14 (gunshots)
00:43:17 - Oh, from those creature things, lizard things?
00:43:20 - Whoa.
00:43:20 - Freeze!
00:43:24 (dramatic music)
00:43:26 - Come on.
00:43:31 - Oh my God, oh my God, that one got me.
00:43:35 - Whoa.
00:43:36 (laughing)
00:43:38 - Let's go, let go.
00:43:46 (screaming)
00:43:48 - Nice cookies.
00:43:51 Okay, Regis, on the count of three.
00:43:53 - Oh my God, girl, really?
00:43:55 - What the hell?
00:43:56 - Hey, Regis.
00:43:57 - All of you together, up against the wall.
00:43:59 - Hands up.
00:44:00 - Oh.
00:44:03 - Put those weapons down.
00:44:05 - Or you'll do what?
00:44:06 (screaming)
00:44:10 - Yeah, but aren't they gonna get in there
00:44:12 with you guys too?
00:44:14 (screaming)
00:44:16 - God, those things are...
00:44:21 (screaming)
00:44:22 - Whoa.
00:44:23 - Come on now.
00:44:26 Oh, you just missed it.
00:44:30 Oh man.
00:44:31 It's like jousting, you gotta get right there.
00:44:36 Whoa.
00:44:37 Okay, now do it.
00:44:38 - Ooh.
00:44:41 - That looks awesome.
00:44:48 - Damn.
00:44:48 - That looks cool.
00:44:52 - Goodbye.
00:44:53 - Ooh.
00:44:54 - One down, two to go.
00:44:56 - Yeah.
00:45:05 - Whoa. - Nice.
00:45:06 - Nice shot.
00:45:07 - Ah.
00:45:12 - Oh yes, nice.
00:45:14 - We gotta go.
00:45:15 - Run.
00:45:18 - Oh my God. - Oh my God, run.
00:45:19 - That reminds me of the velociraptors
00:45:20 in Lost World Jurassic Park.
00:45:22 - Yeah. - When they run
00:45:23 through the grass.
00:45:24 - Gas, we need gas.
00:45:24 - It's filling up really quickly.
00:45:29 - Oh God.
00:45:30 - That's smart, if you can get up and fuel.
00:45:33 Or don't, let it fill up.
00:45:36 Y'all barely got any.
00:45:37 Oh boy.
00:45:39 - Oh no.
00:45:42 - No.
00:45:43 - Oh my gosh, no.
00:45:44 - Okay, they light them on fire.
00:45:49 - Oh.
00:45:50 - They have a lighter on them?
00:45:52 Oh, a flare gun, yeah, they'll light them on fire.
00:45:53 - Oh, nice, nice.
00:45:54 - Whoa.
00:46:00 - They're really good at improvising.
00:46:02 - No. - Oh, what?
00:46:10 - No. - Why are you shooting at him
00:46:11 when he's going after a Megalodon?
00:46:13 - Oh my God, this guy is killing me.
00:46:16 - Let him kill the Megalodon first
00:46:17 and then go ahead and take him out if you want.
00:46:20 - She is so brave.
00:46:26 - Whoa.
00:46:30 - Oh no, that octopus.
00:46:31 - In the helicopter?
00:46:32 - Yep.
00:46:33 - Hmm.
00:46:34 - No.
00:46:35 - Now Jason's gonna have to get her.
00:46:36 - I wanted the helicopter.
00:46:37 - Oh, but you're doing.
00:46:40 - This is not the helicopter I wanted to go down.
00:46:42 No sacrificing.
00:46:48 (dramatic music)
00:46:50 - Oh.
00:46:51 - No, not Cliff Curtis.
00:46:53 - Dang it.
00:46:54 - Did he get off?
00:46:55 - Maybe he'll survive.
00:46:56 - Whoa.
00:47:02 - Whoa.
00:47:04 - Oh, oh, oh.
00:47:07 - Damn.
00:47:10 Whoa.
00:47:14 - Damn, that reminded me of Quint going,
00:47:16 falling down the ship in the Orca in the first Jaws.
00:47:19 - Oh dude, you are so getting eaten and I cannot wait.
00:47:25 - Yeah, get him.
00:47:30 Hand to hand, man.
00:47:32 - How many shots to the face is this guy taking?
00:47:35 Nothing hurts him.
00:47:36 Oh, blood.
00:47:37 Yep, there you go.
00:47:39 Uh-oh.
00:47:40 - I wouldn't be needing this.
00:47:43 - He's such a bad ass.
00:47:44 - Yeah, you couldn't do it.
00:47:45 - Yeah.
00:47:47 - That was cool.
00:47:51 - Watch, he's gonna come back next scene and be fine.
00:47:53 - Oh no, trap it.
00:47:57 Come on, trap it.
00:47:58 In the box thing, yeah.
00:48:03 Whoa, all right, nice catch.
00:48:06 Oh my goodness.
00:48:09 Holy tamale, that thing's huge.
00:48:14 (beeping)
00:48:15 - Yeah, but wasn't that supposed to be for the Meg?
00:48:18 Or one of the Megs?
00:48:19 - No!
00:48:22 - Oh buddy.
00:48:26 You trapped one, the Meg saved ya.
00:48:32 Is it high G?
00:48:34 Oh, uh-oh, whoa, whoa, no way.
00:48:41 This like a mega octa,
00:48:42 yeah, I mean those aren't, oh my.
00:48:45 - I guess it got, ah!
00:48:47 - Yep, nope, we thought you had it, but you didn't.
00:48:50 - I thought it did too.
00:48:52 Damn, I was like, that was my master
00:48:57 from earlier in the film, how dare you.
00:48:59 If anyone will eat my master, it's me.
00:49:01 Oh, it's making noise, uh-oh.
00:49:08 (roaring)
00:49:10 - Is he gonna cut it open with that?
00:49:15 I remember he did that in the first--
00:49:16 - Oh nice, get the blade going?
00:49:19 I don't know how you picked that up,
00:49:20 but then again, you're Jason Statham, so I believe in you.
00:49:23 Oh!
00:49:25 - Oh, make noise with it.
00:49:26 That's what Roy Scheider did in "Jaws 2",
00:49:28 he was making noise as a distraction.
00:49:38 Yeah, oh!
00:49:38 I assume that's a shallow.
00:49:42 I think that's a shallows reference.
00:49:47 - Oh, that's that zombie eye going.
00:49:54 Uh-oh, oh, nice.
00:49:57 Get him, DJ, right in the mouth.
00:50:02 - Yeah, DJ.
00:50:06 - DJ's such a badass.
00:50:08 - Nice shot, buddy.
00:50:09 - He's even like, "No, I trained her."
00:50:17 - No.
00:50:18 - I feel like Hygiee might listen,
00:50:19 I don't know if it is her, maybe she will.
00:50:21 - But I mean, do you think the shark did save him
00:50:23 from that squid octopus thing?
00:50:25 - I feel like, hmm.
00:50:26 Oh yeah, see, now she knows.
00:50:34 - Oh yeah, oh, she's like, "It's okay, I know you."
00:50:39 Aw.
00:50:41 - I still don't trust it.
00:50:43 - I don't really either, but maybe.
00:50:45 It worked.
00:50:48 Science!
00:50:51 - I'm proud of you, good job.
00:50:57 - Oh, she's definitely pregnant.
00:51:05 - Looks like survival island.
00:51:06 - What, except for what, is this the resort?
00:51:09 Just like the shark, nobody went over there?
00:51:11 That resort is very well intact.
00:51:13 - Looks like we'll take any amount of money
00:51:15 to survive island.
00:51:16 - Oh man.
00:51:19 All right, Ben Wheatley.
00:51:24 - Is it this one?
00:51:25 - Okay, all right, Meg Two.
00:51:29 - The Trench.
00:51:29 - Yeah, I mean, it was good, it was fun.
00:51:32 I didn't like it as much as the first one.
00:51:34 - I'm with you on that.
00:51:35 - Yeah, I mean, what are your first thoughts here?
00:51:38 - Okay, well, just because we like to be positive
00:51:41 around here, I still think the strength,
00:51:44 because for me, the biggest strength of the first film,
00:51:46 definitely fun in that aspect,
00:51:48 obviously turn your brain off type of film.
00:51:50 Same thing here, turn your brain off type of film,
00:51:53 but I think the biggest strength of the first film
00:51:55 was the relationship between Su Yen and her daughter,
00:51:59 and then also Jason Statham coming in,
00:52:01 like the bondship that he has with the three of them.
00:52:04 I really like the role that Jason,
00:52:06 again, I know I made that comment
00:52:08 that he kind of looks bored in this film,
00:52:10 but I really do like that surrogate father role
00:52:13 that he takes up in the film with Mei Ling.
00:52:17 It was really sweet.
00:52:19 - Mei Ying.
00:52:20 - Yeah, Mei Ying, sorry, excuse me.
00:52:21 I really do like it, it was really sweet and endearing,
00:52:23 and I really did buy the history in between films
00:52:27 that they had had, and obviously,
00:52:29 with the encounter that they had from the first film,
00:52:32 I really did buy it, and it was really sweet,
00:52:35 and I just enjoyed all their scenes, all their interactions.
00:52:37 I loved their chemistry, the two actors, they really,
00:52:40 I couldn't take my eyes off the screen
00:52:42 whenever they were on the screen together,
00:52:44 and I really did feel invested and scared for them,
00:52:49 even though I had a feeling they were gonna survive.
00:52:51 I didn't think they were gonna take her out in the movie,
00:52:53 or Jason Statham either, and I always felt like
00:52:56 he had a good shot of surviving against the shark
00:52:58 or whoever he was facing, but still,
00:53:00 I always felt invested and worried for them,
00:53:02 and that the stakes were high
00:53:03 whenever those two were on screen,
00:53:05 and again, staying on the positive,
00:53:07 I love what they did with DJ in this film.
00:53:10 - Oh, yeah.
00:53:11 - Again, I loved him in the first film.
00:53:13 He always had the logic and the sense, like,
00:53:15 what are we doing in this situation?
00:53:17 Get out of the water, whatever.
00:53:18 He always had logic and sense, and then again,
00:53:20 in this film, getting that one scene
00:53:24 where he had the fighting and the trembling,
00:53:26 where did that come from?
00:53:27 - The comedic relief in that is great.
00:53:29 - Oh my God, I mean, and then I still really loved
00:53:32 Cliff Curtis as well.
00:53:33 He was a blast as well, a joy to watch.
00:53:36 So the chemistry between that, and I like the uncle too.
00:53:39 I thought he did a good job.
00:53:40 I personally would have loved if they would have
00:53:43 kept Su Yen in this, and even with the uncle,
00:53:45 I still think they could have made it work.
00:53:47 Again, I'm not a writer.
00:53:48 I don't know how, you know, it probably would have been tough
00:53:50 to figure out a way to find a way
00:53:52 to do all those characters, but still,
00:53:54 I really did like Su Yen from the first film,
00:53:56 so I wish they would have found a way to do that, but.
00:53:58 - I think the reason you probably liked Su Yen
00:54:00 and wanted her back, this movie didn't have
00:54:02 as much heart as the first one.
00:54:04 It lost the heart, even though Jason and Mei Ying,
00:54:06 when they were on screen, they had a really great
00:54:08 relationship and that was really cute,
00:54:10 but we didn't get to see any, really much
00:54:12 of the foundation being built,
00:54:13 unless you're just remembering one.
00:54:15 So I think a lot of the heart was taken out,
00:54:18 versus in one, I was like, I got close to crying
00:54:21 when the dad died, and then they had to tell Mei Ying
00:54:26 about it in the first one.
00:54:27 It was just sad, people, there was just a little more heart
00:54:30 in it, where they had to bond over these life experiences,
00:54:33 be like, we gotta find Megalodon,
00:54:34 and also, SHIT is going down.
00:54:37 Versus this one, there was still a lot of stuff going on,
00:54:40 and I like to see the payoff with Mei Ying
00:54:42 of being like, she's smart, she was raised by her mom,
00:54:44 she knows stuff, like she's in there, kind of saving them,
00:54:47 like, yay, they brought her along.
00:54:49 But I felt like the payoff with her and her new dad,
00:54:53 I would've liked to see more of them,
00:54:56 kind of in the beginning, of maybe more of a relationship,
00:54:59 so that the ending was even sweeter.
00:55:02 I don't know exactly how they maybe could've done that
00:55:04 with her and the uncle and Jason.
00:55:07 But I do think that moment at the end,
00:55:09 when they're like, absolutely, meaning they come together
00:55:12 to tell her, you're still grounded,
00:55:14 is a way of the script bringing it,
00:55:15 which could have had, I think, a better payoff,
00:55:19 as like, these are her new parents now.
00:55:22 But it didn't give me as many of the heart feels
00:55:24 as the first one. - For sure, for sure.
00:55:25 - And I'm all about those heart feels.
00:55:28 But this was still a blast.
00:55:30 We got to see a mega octopus, a bunch of megalodons,
00:55:35 and some cool stuff.
00:55:37 - I would also add my other one, positive Pippin.
00:55:41 - Oh yeah. - And Pippin survived.
00:55:42 That's also a positive.
00:55:44 For negatives--
00:55:45 - And the fact that Mei Ying saved Pippin yet again
00:55:48 from the ocean, Pippin's gotta survive every time.
00:55:50 That has to be a callback in each and every one of them.
00:55:53 - For sure, and like I said, I of course forgot,
00:55:56 which I already mentioned during the reaction,
00:55:58 but just in case it got cut out,
00:56:01 Pippin was a reference to the first Jaws film
00:56:03 where Pippin the dog was in that film,
00:56:06 and the shark offscreen took out Pippin,
00:56:08 which the dog did not survive.
00:56:10 I'm sorry.
00:56:12 All sorry to all of us.
00:56:13 But yeah, no, I'm glad that the dog survived in both films.
00:56:17 Good job by the writers.
00:56:18 But bad job on the writers, in my opinion,
00:56:20 with the villains in this film.
00:56:22 I thought they were so, I actually did like,
00:56:24 even though he was a piece of crap,
00:56:26 Rainn Wilson's character was funny in the first film,
00:56:29 but made dumb decisions, especially going out
00:56:32 where he got eaten by the shark.
00:56:34 I thought he made a really dumb decision there,
00:56:37 but there was stuff about him where I just found him,
00:56:40 again, he was hilarious, and I just found myself
00:56:44 relating to certain things about his character.
00:56:46 - He was a more fun villain.
00:56:48 - He was definitely more fun,
00:56:49 whereas the villains here, I'm like,
00:56:51 they're so generic, and I'm like,
00:56:53 I can't wait to see them get eaten.
00:56:56 - Totally, 100%.
00:56:57 I mean, I didn't really believe her,
00:56:59 the main villain, and then the blonde girl that she hired
00:57:02 that also was dating the man villain,
00:57:04 all of those three villains,
00:57:05 I didn't really believe them much.
00:57:07 - Not at all.
00:57:08 - Acting-wise, it seemed like,
00:57:09 it might have been the direction, I'm not sure,
00:57:12 that it seemed very much like, what are you doing?
00:57:15 We're here to get the gems.
00:57:17 Not that bad, but you get what I'm saying.
00:57:19 Versus when Jason Statham delivers a line,
00:57:22 even though it may be overly dramatic,
00:57:24 like whatever that one line was,
00:57:26 like, they're coming to get us.
00:57:28 I don't know what it is, but I always believe him,
00:57:30 versus those three villains, and maybe that was on purpose,
00:57:33 that they felt very, they didn't feel as grounded.
00:57:37 It felt like when they would deliver something,
00:57:38 it felt just like the payoff wasn't really there.
00:57:41 But, I mean, obviously we had to have them there.
00:57:44 She's like, I have a bunch of dollars to build these ships
00:57:49 that go way down, but I'm not doing it for research,
00:57:52 I'm doing it for gems.
00:57:53 - And again, this is not,
00:57:54 yeah, and I'm sure they're all competent actors.
00:57:56 I have not seen any of those three in anything else.
00:57:58 - No, no, me neither.
00:57:59 - Yeah, yeah, so I'm sure.
00:58:00 - That's only just from this film.
00:58:01 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, and I mean, could be direction,
00:58:03 could be the writing, of course.
00:58:04 And again, this is more on the writing now.
00:58:07 When it comes to the main woman villain,
00:58:10 like, why did you go to the island, first of all?
00:58:13 That made no sense to me.
00:58:14 And then when you're about to leave,
00:58:16 you hear a noise or something,
00:58:17 why did you tell your helicopter pilot
00:58:19 to go out and go and check?
00:58:21 Get out, leave.
00:58:23 I get it, the writer's like--
00:58:24 - Or learn how to fly a helicopter, lady.
00:58:27 - I mean, I get it that the writer's like,
00:58:28 well, I have to come up with a way to kill her off.
00:58:31 So, but that's the dumbest thing ever.
00:58:33 - Well, they could have, I mean,
00:58:35 the little, the dinosaur lizards
00:58:37 could have just eaten both of them right away, right?
00:58:39 'Cause that guy ran off and he never came back.
00:58:41 - Or you could have had the shark
00:58:42 just jump into the sky and rip out the arm.
00:58:44 - He's missing his shark with the helicopter move.
00:58:46 - Yeah, you did it with the, okay, look.
00:58:48 - You did it with the octopus.
00:58:49 - Thank you for doing it with the octopus,
00:58:50 but it was with Cliff Curtis and I would have rather
00:58:53 had the shark just--
00:58:54 - It wasn't the right helicopter for Andrew.
00:58:55 - It was the wrong one.
00:58:56 - He's gonna be whining about it for the next month.
00:58:59 - She's gonna have to hear about it.
00:59:00 - Thankfully.
00:59:01 - And so are you guys.
00:59:02 - We don't, me and I'm just gonna be like,
00:59:05 block his number, we're not gonna talk,
00:59:07 or do a reaction for the next month,
00:59:08 'cause it's only gonna be like, where's my helicopter move?
00:59:11 - When she unblocks me, she's gonna text her,
00:59:13 are you ready to not talk about that,
00:59:14 or do I have to block you?
00:59:15 - Are you over it yet, buddy?
00:59:17 'Cause I feel like we need to get over it.
00:59:19 - Yeah, but overall, look, again, I don't think,
00:59:22 I think you said it best, I don't think this had,
00:59:24 and again, the first one wasn't the greatest film ever,
00:59:27 it was a fun time.
00:59:27 - No, it just had more heart.
00:59:28 - But it had more, it for sure had more heart than this,
00:59:31 but having said that, I still really enjoyed the scenes
00:59:34 between Mei Ying and Jonas,
00:59:38 Jason Statham, I still really enjoyed those scenes,
00:59:42 and I still like the camaraderie and the chemistry
00:59:44 between Cliff Curtis, DJ, and even the uncle,
00:59:47 I thought he did a really good job,
00:59:48 the actor who played him, and the five of them,
00:59:51 I thought they all did, and even the,
00:59:53 I forgot the actress who played the character,
00:59:56 she did a pretty good job as well.
00:59:57 I thought they all did a--
00:59:59 - The payoff of DJ learning a bunch of stuff,
01:00:01 being like, I learned from the first one,
01:00:03 I learned how to fight and be a spy and bring weapons,
01:00:06 and bring, we didn't get to see him use the poison darts?
01:00:10 - Oh no, no, he did, he did, yeah,
01:00:12 remember he shot at the lizard things?
01:00:14 - Oh, he did, okay, yeah.
01:00:16 - I would've loved to have seen it on a Meg,
01:00:17 but he did get to shoot the lizard,
01:00:20 he dragged, whatever those things were.
01:00:22 - Yeah, and I like that he used the mirror thing,
01:00:24 which is a callback to a bunch of films, whatever,
01:00:26 but I just love how he upped his game,
01:00:31 which was super fun, also, his roundhouse kick,
01:00:35 I was like, uh, that looked awesome,
01:00:37 like, no stunt double for you, sir.
01:00:39 - Yeah, no, they weren't cutting,
01:00:41 they went wide shot and no cut.
01:00:43 - I was like, good for you, man,
01:00:45 he's like, I started training.
01:00:45 - But it was an awesome reveal that you wouldn't expect,
01:00:48 it was like, this is awesome.
01:00:50 - It was a nice surprise. - And it makes sense,
01:00:51 like, even though you can't really apply those skills
01:00:54 to a Megalodon shark, still, it would make sense
01:00:57 after the events of the first film,
01:00:59 okay, I gotta learn stuff.
01:01:00 - Yeah, I mean, and you could with those poison darts,
01:01:03 I don't know, you could punch a group through in 'em.
01:01:06 Also, you know, a little disappointed
01:01:08 we didn't get to see the 18 abs,
01:01:10 it might still be stuck on Jason Statham.
01:01:12 - Oh, he's got 'em.
01:01:12 - I mean, it's not necessary, but a little bit,
01:01:15 just for a little bit, come on now, Statham?
01:01:18 - There's still time for a third film.
01:01:19 - Saw him in the first one.
01:01:20 - They'll do it in the third film,
01:01:21 they're like, we're only doing 'em on odd number films,
01:01:23 don't worry. - Oh, really?
01:01:25 All right, well.
01:01:25 - Well, we know that other shark is still out there,
01:01:29 and she's probably gonna give birth, most likely,
01:01:30 'cause we saw a little scene there
01:01:32 where they were mating, and you called that.
01:01:34 - It's a whole thing, so we're gonna have more Megs
01:01:37 out there, which is good.
01:01:38 I mean, by that time, Meg three,
01:01:40 I mean, Mei Ying is gonna be like a full-on teenager.
01:01:43 Or maybe a young adult who can drink.
01:01:46 Who knows how long it's gonna take.
01:01:48 But I'm gonna rate it, out of 10,
01:01:50 I would give this like, I'd give it like a 6.5.
01:01:55 - I was thinking 6.5 too.
01:01:56 - Or like a 6.5, 'cause it was still a lot of fun.
01:02:00 I love seeing, I mean, who doesn't?
01:02:03 The Megalodons when they're on screen,
01:02:04 and Miles just like eating all these people.
01:02:07 I mean, I don't want people to die in real life,
01:02:09 you guys get what I mean.
01:02:10 It just looks, it looks so awesome.
01:02:12 - Yeah, and I would say probably 6.5 as well.
01:02:15 - Okay, so there we go.
01:02:17 What was your favorite part?
01:02:19 - Oh, I would say my favorite part was the DJ reveal
01:02:23 with his skills, that was the greatest moment ever.
01:02:26 And Pippin surviving, those two.
01:02:29 - Yes, I was gonna say I liked the cut
01:02:33 when Mei Ying saving Pippin, that was a lot of fun.
01:02:36 But DJ's reveal was great.
01:02:38 I don't know, what was my favorite part?
01:02:41 Oh God, you guys.
01:02:43 Oh, I--
01:02:44 - Under pressure.
01:02:48 - Yeah, I don't know, I was gonna say
01:02:50 like when he went into the plane,
01:02:51 I was like, that was cool, but that's at the top of the film.
01:02:53 I would just say anytime the Meg is eating something.
01:02:56 I can't really think of a big thing from this one.
01:02:58 I mean, I asked you the question.
01:02:59 - When the woman villain, the main woman villain gets eaten,
01:03:02 that was so satisfying, I'll give you that one.
01:03:04 - That was good, that was good.
01:03:05 I was glad to be rid of her, you know?
01:03:08 I mean, I feel like that's it.
01:03:09 My, yeah, 6.5, I liked it, it's good.
01:03:14 The Meg is good, it's always good.
01:03:16 We always wanna see Megalodon on screen,
01:03:17 especially if Jason Statham is there just next time.
01:03:19 Maybe show us your 18 abs again, please, sir.
01:03:22 - That's the problem with this film, we didn't see 18 abs.
01:03:24 - Yeah, man, 18 abs was not back.
01:03:27 Still love Mei Ying, I hope she comes back
01:03:29 for many, many more.
01:03:31 And I mean, you guys can comment
01:03:34 and tell us what you feel like the juice is.
01:03:36 What's the juice that we miss?
01:03:37 What's the stuff that we, I don't know,
01:03:40 tell us what movie we should watch next.
01:03:42 Just tell us honestly what life is.
01:03:44 I'm gonna be honest with you, 'cause life,
01:03:47 it's like, sometimes I feel like that shark
01:03:49 who looked real rough, like he's been through 18 wars,
01:03:52 I feel like that sometimes.
01:03:53 So like your advice of being like, do this thing,
01:03:56 I might take it, you know?
01:03:58 'Cause we love you guys.
01:03:59 I think that's it, any last thoughts, Andrew?
01:04:01 - No, just excited for whatever we react to next.
01:04:06 - Yeah!
01:04:07 We love you so much.
01:04:09 That is the end of the make two.
01:04:12 - The Trench.
01:04:13 - Bye!
