00:00 Natalie Portman is stepping out once more without her wedding ring.
00:04 The Black Swan actress was the keynote speaker at the IAA Mobility Conference in Germany
00:08 on September 5th, and when she hit the stage, her left-hand ring finger was noticeably bare.
00:13 Natalie has gone ring-free multiple times in recent months, including at the Dior Haute
00:17 Couture show at Paris Fashion Week in July, and at the Angel City Equity Summit in Sydney
00:22 in August, which coincided with her and husband Benjamin Milpier's 11th wedding anniversary.
00:27 Texas Hollywood previously reached out to reps for Natalie on the choice.
00:30 Her trip to Germany comes three months after news broke that she and Benjamin were reportedly
00:34 navigating turbulence in their marriage.
00:36 When multiple reports claimed in June that the French choreographer had an extramarital
00:40 affair, a source told People magazine, "It was short-lived and it is over."
00:44 At the time, a source close to the couple also shared with People that the pair were
00:47 still together, claiming, "He knows he made an enormous mistake, and he is doing all he
00:51 can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together.
00:55 Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media.
00:58 Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy."
01:02 Access Hollywood previously reached out to the star's reps for comment, and while neither
01:05 have publicly addressed the reports in the months since, they did make a rare public
01:08 appearance together in August.
01:10 The two took their 12-year-old son, Olive, to the Women's World Cup final in Sydney,
01:14 and were photographed sitting on either side of him in the stands.
01:17 According to the Daily Mail, Benjamin and Olive left at halftime, and Natalie watched
01:20 the last half of the match solo.
01:22 Natalie and Benjamin tied the knot in 2012, and are parents to Olive and 6-year-old daughter
01:26 Amalia.
01:27 The kids are both big soccer fans, and Natalie is a co-owner and co-founder of Angel City
01:32 FC, Los Angeles' professional women's soccer team.
01:35 Access Hollywood spoke to the Thor/Levin/Thunder actress at the premiere of her three-part
01:38 HBO documentary about the team, and she reflected on how her journey to start Angel City began.
01:43 "Congratulations on such an insightful documentary.
01:45 I saw all three of the episodes.
01:47 I was impressed.
01:48 I'm seeing you in there cheering them on, on Skype interviews.
01:51 I'm like, 'She is really, really involved with this.'
01:54 First, I want to ask you this, okay?
01:56 Now, your text message, 'We should bring a team together to LA,' that's how this whole
02:01 thing started.
02:02 What does it feel like to bring this impossible dream to reality?"
02:04 "Well, I think it just reminds me how it's good not to be aware that your dreams are
02:10 impossible, because if you think they're impossible, then you'll never go forward.
02:15 And to be a little bit ignorant about the difficulty really kind of saved the day for
02:18 me."
02:19 "I mean, there had to be some crazy obstacles.
02:22 What were some of the obstacles you had to deal with when you're trying to put this
02:24 whole team together?"
02:25 "Well, a lot of people didn't want to give us money.
02:29 So when we tried to raise money to buy the team, to buy the rights and also have enough
02:33 money to support the team, we talked to probably like 100 people who said no to us before Alexis
02:40 Ohanian said yes to us to be our lead investor.
02:45 And then once he came in, then a lot of other people also joined.
02:50 But that was surprising because it seemed so obvious to me that you have these incredibly
02:56 popular women playing the most popular sport in the world, playing the best in the world,
03:01 that people would want to see them.
03:03 It seemed obvious to me.
03:05 It seemed obvious to me that they were being undervalued and that there was a rabid audience
03:09 for them.
03:10 So it was surprising to me when other people didn't agree."
03:14 "I know there's a lot of powerful women who are involved in this, but it's for the guys
03:18 too.
03:19 I know this is for them, but the guys were like pulled in.
03:20 I mean, the sisterhood though, between you, Jess, Eva, Jennifer, how did you get all these
03:25 powerful women together?
03:26 Like, what, how did you?"
03:27 "It was so incredible.
03:29 And they're great friends and great.
03:34 Most of us met during Time's Up and we developed this bond through activism that's like no
03:40 other.
03:41 And they came along for the ride and not just came along, but were helping to steer the
03:47 ship.
03:48 And so many of them have taken active roles in many of our impact missions.
03:53 We've been delivering meals to the community through our partnership with DoorDash.
03:57 We've created a women's coaching pipeline with our partnership with Gatorade.
04:03 So there's been a lot of really incredible community actions that a lot of the high profile
04:10 investors have been part of as well."
04:13 "That's awesome.
04:14 And I'm hoping you women are texting after the game.
04:16 Are y'all like talking to each other via text?
04:18 Like, girl, did you see that play?
04:19 Did you see that?
04:20 Because I know you have certain fans that you, I mean, certain players that you are
04:22 favorite of, but are the girls texting each other?"
04:25 "Yeah, absolutely.
04:26 We have text chains about, yeah, about the games and it's so fun.
04:33 It's like a new kind of way to hang out as women.
04:35 Yeah."
04:36 "I saw last week, I haven't been to the game, but I saw Amalia on the Jumbotron.
04:40 She was wearing the whole gear.
04:41 I mean, is she, what kind of impact has Angel City had on your daughter?
04:45 Because I love watching her geared up."
04:46 "Both my kids have been so inspired and have so much fun watching the Angel City games.
04:55 So it's been a really incredible thing to have in our family."
04:59 "Ali, I can see you being a soccer mom, girl.
05:01 I think that's in your future.
05:02 What do you think?"
05:03 "My son is obsessed.
05:05 So I am definitely a soccer mom.
05:08 I'm just like a driver to and from practice, basically."
