00:00 >> So how much fun was your first game with the North?
00:05 >> It was great, I had fun, it was very exciting.
00:08 I had a lot of family there, so it was exciting to be with a new team and
00:14 have success like we did.
00:15 >> Did it play out the way you envisioned?
00:18 >> Yes, it did.
00:19 All the way since I got here, just leading up to that game,
00:24 I knew that was gonna be a big game for us.
00:26 And I just always envisioned us just being on top, coming out of that game, and
00:30 that's what happened.
00:32 >> Faced a little adversity in the first half,
00:34 but looking quite well into the second half.
00:37 Kind of what was the key to having the fourth, fourth,
00:39 sixth, or last seven drives?
00:41 Kind of what was the key to getting the offense to a win?
00:45 >> It's just adversity, that's life.
00:47 Whether that's just on the field or off the field, that's just life,
00:49 having adversity.
00:50 So when that starts, that just shows who you are as a team.
00:53 And I feel like we show our identity on adversity when it struck and
00:57 we came back in the second half strong.
00:59 >> You guys went to that counter concept that you were going to make,
01:02 blockers, lots of second half players that worked so well,
01:05 and that's what you saw today?
01:07 >> It's just the scheme.
01:09 We locked in, we knew what they was gonna give us, and
01:13 we ran that plate and it worked very well for us.
01:16 >> When you're an offensive, you get to come in and
01:17 try to simulate over and over again, does that feel good?
01:21 I would imagine.
01:22 >> Yeah, it do.
01:23 Just knowing when you can go to a plate and
01:25 you know you're gonna have success with it,
01:27 it's always great when you can have one of those plates in the back pocket.
01:29 >> I'm the only one.
01:32 Look, I hate to put it out, dude, how much have you heard about that?
01:35 How much have you had?
01:36 >> We've been going crazy.
01:38 That's just me as a player.
01:40 A lot of people ask me why I did that, or you know what I'm saying?
01:43 That's just how I play.
01:44 I play very physical, and I just had to make sure they felt it.
01:48 >> Seems like throughout fall camp you were asking a lot of questions,
01:51 getting adjusted, whether it was Norvell or other players,
01:53 and just getting adjusted to the offense and the pace of things.
01:55 When game time came up, did you feel like you applied a lot of what you had
01:59 learned throughout camp on the time game?
02:01 >> Yeah, I can say my blocking,
02:04 everybody know what I can do with the ball in my hand, and that's who.
02:07 I feel very comfortable with blocking in that game.
02:09 And that's just something that I wanna be better at as a player.
02:14 So I feel comfortable with blocking.
02:17 >> Did you coach Norvell say you felt like the offense maybe imposed their will
02:20 a little bit in the second half?
02:21 Did you feel that fragilization?
02:23 >> Right, like I say, adversity struck, and
02:26 that first half we wasn't really doing what we needed to do.
02:29 LSU did nothing to stop us, we were stopping our own self.
02:31 So once we went into halftime,
02:33 made some changes, and we came out very explosive, like the type of offense we is.
02:36 >> Yeah, we're not, this was your first, hoping to have two games playing for
02:39 the Travis.
02:40 I think Jordan, you're in a little with him, you got to see him interact, and
02:42 how he knows the support, and how he gets his thoughts.
02:44 It feels like now he'll get something first time.
02:47 >> He's very level headed.
02:48 He never gets too high, he never gets too low.
02:50 He's always down, but besides, he's trying to make you better throughout the game.
02:56 Like I say, he's very level headed.
02:57 >> I know you guys expected to be explosive on offense, but
03:00 you had to face another team, and after going against a,
03:03 it was gonna be a good football team, but then you're a good baseman, probably.
03:08 What do you think the ceiling is for this offense?
03:11 >> I feel like the ceiling is elite for us.
03:14 We use that word a lot around elite.
03:15 I feel like we're a very elite offense, and we showed, we just got out on Sunday.
03:21 And we got more to come, so be ready.
03:24 >> What is it that you mentioned when you said coach was out,
03:26 I think multiple times after the game.
03:27 I guess what's the next step for you guys?
03:29 >> The next step is just trying to find a way to make it complete.
03:32 Like I say, we have first in the first house, and
03:34 just trying to put a complete game together.
03:36 >> On the touchdown catch, did you know you were gonna get to the end zone,
03:42 or how did it look as it was unfolding?
03:44 >> I knew I was getting in the end zone.
03:46 I caught the ball, turned my speed on.
03:50 I knew I was getting in the end zone.
03:51 Nobody wanted to look at me.
03:53 >> I guess you mentioned facing adversity throughout the game.
03:55 So when you got to the fourth quarter and things started opening up,
03:57 did things, I guess, for lack of a better word,
03:59 did become a little bit more fun in the game?
04:00 Or I guess how did things start feeling once you got past that adversity?
04:03 >> I won't really use the word fun, because that just makes it seem like
04:07 we wasn't really, you know what I'm saying, doing what we needed to do.
04:09 But it just made the game easier.
04:12 It just slowed the game down once we got into rhythm in that second half.
04:16 And once we came and got in rhythm, I mean,
04:18 just everything was clicking for us, and made us very explosive.
04:22 >> Last year on the floor, save for me, Dallas U, some of the players,
04:24 I think later said they felt like they got a bit too high off that.
04:27 How do you feel like you guys are gonna take this more in stride?
04:30 >> Like I said about Jordan, he's very level-headed, so
04:32 I feel like that about this entire team.
04:35 Everybody knows what we did, that game was in the past.
04:39 It doesn't matter no more.
04:40 Who cares about a game that's over with, so we're going to the next game.
04:44 [BLANK_AUDIO]
04:47 >> He's a dog, that's all I gotta say.
04:48 I don't really gotta say too much, he's a dog.
04:50 >> [INAUDIBLE] >> You good?
04:52 >> [INAUDIBLE]
