00:00 First game in Austin for a lot of build up to this.
00:03 How did it feel to be actually out there?
00:04 >> It felt good.
00:05 Been like we've been practicing against each other for the longest.
00:10 Feel like we've been practicing against each other for the longest.
00:13 Felt good to just be able to hit another team.
00:15 Had a lot of fun out there today.
00:18 >> Just the way you guys bounced back, they scored a touchdown and
00:20 then you guys shut them out.
00:21 Really limited them after.
00:23 What kind of did you learn from maybe that experience and carried through the rest?
00:27 >> It was like a get all our jitters out, let all the little mistakes happen.
00:31 First game, so we expected that, but it was a good way to bounce back.
00:35 >> What did you think just overall of the defense, how you guys performed?
00:38 >> I feel like we played good, but there's always more room for improvement.
00:43 So we're just gonna keep getting better day by day.
00:45 >> Do you have a favorite moment from today or something stand out to you from
00:50 being at the stadium and just seeing everybody here for the first time this year?
00:53 >> Just seeing everybody excited and everybody get a chance to play,
00:58 all our young guys out there, and just seeing that, that gave me excitement today.
01:02 >> I think you played more deep safety than start today.
01:06 Is that kind of where you feel most comfortable now after your fall camp?
01:09 >> Honestly- >> Correct me if I'm wrong too,
01:11 if you played star and I just messed up.
01:13 >> No, I did play more up deep today, but I'm comfortable at both, so
01:18 we might see a different change next week.
01:19 You never know.
01:20 >> To that point, just how did you feel, there's a lot of new faces in secondary.
01:24 How did you feel you guys performed and the chemistry you're developing?
01:28 >> I feel like we performed good.
01:29 Like you said, during fall camp, we was able to build a chemistry and
01:34 feed off each other, and I feel like we did a good job of that today.
01:37 >> As one of the guys who played Texas Tech last season, but
01:41 is having personally another shot at them,
01:43 other opportunity to face Tyler Sharp as a quarterback, what does that mean?
01:48 >> My get back, I lost to them last year, so I'm going there looking with a tip on
01:51 my shoulder, trying to get a win.
