00:00 Just with Sean Clark from Beer Central in the Moor, could you tell me how strong is
00:08 the Sheffield beer scene at the moment in terms of products available and breweries?
00:13 Yeah, Sheffield's got a fantastic sort of heritage for brewing and so in terms of the
00:19 beer scene there is always a strong beer scene in Sheffield and it's something that has been
00:25 celebrated for years and continues to be so. You've got traditional breweries like Bradfield,
00:31 Abbeydale alongside very modern breweries like St. Mar's of the Desert down at Attercliffe.
00:37 So it's a strong scene, always is. This time of year though there's a particular emphasis
00:42 on Sheffield beer because from the 18th of October we've got Sheffield Cameras Beer and
00:47 Cider Festival, that's based down at Kellam Island Museum. It is a celebration of Sheffield
00:53 beer, you get beers from lots of breweries beyond that as well but Beer Central sponsors
01:00 the Champion Beer of the Festival Award which takes place with blind judging on the Wednesday
01:05 night of the festival opening. So it's a brilliant festival and that really does emphasise how
01:11 strong Sheffield is for beer.
