Matt Rhule on finishing the game strong
Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's
00:04 Collision Center on 1499.3 KLIN. The big game versus Minnesota is right around
00:11 the corner and while it will be a day full of pressure in a hostile
00:15 environment, head coach Matt Ruhle isn't that worried about getting off to a
00:18 quick start. Yeah you're never gonna hear me talk about starting fast. You know
00:21 started fast last year. We were up 10-0. The game to me is built, the game to me is
00:25 about as coach Osmer told me, played the whole game to get to the fourth quarter
00:28 and try to win in the fourth. We want to be the best team at the end and I've
00:31 worked hard to teach our guys that. You know what kind of, there's a great quote,
00:33 what kind of competitor sees the finish line and slows down. You know we
00:37 want to sprint to the finish line. We want to sprint and so for us we're gonna
00:40 go out play really really hard. You know we're gonna trade blows all game, body
00:43 blows all game. We'll get to the middle eight right before the half and then
00:45 coming out of the half and try to win that. Play hard and then get to the
00:48 fourth quarter and to me the whole new game begins and then you get to the
00:51 final five minutes and it's like NBA basketball. Like wake me up when there's
00:55 five minutes left on the clock and I'll come watch. With this Husker Max Practice
00:58 Report, I'm Matt McMaster.
