00:00 I listened to your first sound
00:02 I took my breath away
00:06 I'll hold you close within my arms
00:11 Until my dying day
00:16 A lot of people ask what style it is. I always say like singer-songwriter with a heavy ginger tinge
00:22 My name is Cammy Barnes and i'm a singer-songwriter from the kingdom of fife
00:28 So the music i'm releasing, uh just now is very personal and it's like
00:34 I really feel like people that listen to the songs will be able to relate with them like bonnie song for instance
00:39 If you're a parent
00:40 Uh, you will feel exactly the words i'm singing. I'll literally grab your hair right at your chest. I really want to just
00:47 be
00:49 truthful in my songwriting so
00:51 And lay everything on the line so people can they could relate and say i've been in that situation as well
00:56 It's all from my own experiences like I could I can't sing something that I don't believe in
01:02 I need to be like really resonate with the words and
01:05 I think it's a lot more truthful
01:08 So to be honest, it's been some slug the old music career. I feel like it's took me 10 years to finally get
01:14 A little way foot forward. But yeah, i'm doing my first ever uk and ireland tour i'm doing
01:20 Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Lanham, Dublin, London
01:26 And there's a few more so yeah, it's exciting. So the venue i'm playing on the 16th of september is swg3
01:32 You can get tickets at gigs in scotland or ticketmaster or basically any major ticket website
01:37 And I was lucky I got to play the venue already. I've done it with st. Phoenix
01:42 Uh last year and one of my main goals is to headline it myself
01:46 So the fact i'm getting the chance to do it is exciting the scottish music scene right now has never been as strong
01:53 Blue's capaldi's kind of paved the way I think for a lot of young musicians coming through
01:57 And the names coming out of scotland right now are massive. You've got dylan john thomas. It's nuts
02:02 A dj world you've got ewan mcvicker
02:05 Like the scottish music scene is absolutely flying and it's a good place to be. It's good
02:09 So my music is very singer songwriter. A lot of people ask what style it is. I always say like singer songwriter
02:15 With a heavy ginger tinge
02:18 I always kind of sing with a bit of scottish accent that comes through in my music
02:23 So aye I just break my heart, don't I?
02:25 I got brought up kind of in the folks and I played the bagpipes
02:29 So the way I sing and the way I ornament things it's definitely got a very folky and scottish. Uh
02:35 like roots right through it, so
02:38 No, that's basically it. So I think
02:40 Technically like my voice
02:43 And the way I phrase things is a bit different for a lot of singers
02:46 So and that's because I come from heavy scottish roots. I'm going to take my crowd through a mix of emotions
02:52 I'll be playing hard breakers. I'll be playing upbeat
02:54 Good fun vibes and everything's just I like to connect with the audience like on a personal level
02:59 I feel like everybody that's coming to swg3 I know
03:01 Or i've spoke to at some point. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. So when i'm playing live
03:07 I want it to feel like you're in you're at a big family party. That's that's the vibe i'm looking for
