00:27 Hello and welcome to Full English, a show that combines politics with not being in the

00:31 SNP. The same can be said for Angus McNeill, who's been ousted from the party. Let's get

00:36 into it.

00:38 The Western Isles MP this week was kicked out of the party after he refused to rejoin

00:42 the Westminster group following his suspension, saying he'd only do so if they showed more

00:46 commitment to independence. Famously of course, the SNP don't talk enough about independence.

00:53 He is now, however, going to run as an independent, in a seat Labour already expected to win.

00:59 Good luck with that.

01:02 The decision was made by the SNP Conduct Committee, who claimed he'd breached the Code of Conduct,

01:07 whatever that is. The problem is, we don't know what that means, we don't know who's

01:10 on the committee, we don't know how it came to its judgement, or what they said, or what

01:14 his offence was. And the SNP will not tell us. Even on background, we have no idea how

01:20 it works.

01:22 Love transparency in politics.

01:24 So what have we learned? Firstly, Angus has at least managed to achieve independence from

01:30 the SNP. And secondly, no, that's it, that's all we've learned this week. It's recess.
