00:27 Hello and welcome to Full English, a show with just a few episodes left, so we're going down swinging.
00:34 This week felt like the beginning of the end for Rishi Sunak in a way that was totally avoidable.
00:39 Let's get into it.
00:42 The Prime Minister has struggled for much of his unelected premiership,
00:46 but his new Rwanda arrangement could be the thing that kills him off for good.
00:50 He'd already made a powerful enemy in Suela Braverman, and he's now lost an ally and a friend.
00:56 Aww, and Robert Jenrick. All over this.
00:59 And these new changes are supposed to make it work, but the government still cannot say that it doesn't break the law.
01:05 We, that's you and I, the British taxpayer, have spent £200 million on this,
01:10 and the legal advice was that it still breaks the law and still won't work.
01:14 That, in my informed opinion, is not very good politics, and speaks to the general problem with the Prime Minister.
01:21 It never works.
01:24 Like, ever.
01:26 The new Rwanda policy also creates huge problems for the Zone Party, as everything he does, does.
01:33 The left are horrified, and the right think it's not going far enough.
01:36 Multiple Tory MPs are now saying the bill is a confidence vote, i.e. if he loses it on Tuesday, they don't support the government.
01:44 Amusingly, Mr Sunak said his bill is a problem for Labour, but in his defence, what else can he say?
01:51 He's got a progly illegal policy that everyone hates.
01:54 That's not a very good press conference.
01:56 All good politics.
01:58 It's becoming a theme.
02:01 It's already learnt.
02:03 Firstly, that Rishi Sunak is in way more danger than we realised, and secondly, a January election is increasingly likely.
02:10 Play your schedule, lads. Next year is going to be wild.
02:14 Until next time, I've been Alexander Brown, and you haven't.
02:18 Mmm.
02:21 Fluff dough pizza.
02:23 Whoa.
