Matt Rhule on Donovan Raiola and the offensive line
Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's
00:04 Collision Center on 1499.3 KLIN. One of the biggest questions for
00:10 Husker football this season lies at the offensive line and whether or not that
00:14 unit could take the next step from last year's performance. Head Coach Matt Ruhle
00:18 talked about what type of O-line he wants. I'd like to be a big physical
00:22 offensive line that can do a lot of things right you know I mean at the end
00:25 of the day we want to run the ball and stop the run and we want to protect our
00:28 quarterback and affect their quarterback so you know we need we need
00:31 big powerful guys up there that are smart and can handle all the looks. Ruhle
00:34 believes he has the right coach in Donovan Rayola to accomplish that.
00:38 Donovan's a lion you know the standard is the standard for him you know he is he
00:42 he has his players back to the nth degree but he holds them to him. There's a lot
00:46 of coaches who like you know I think most of our young people these days are
00:48 dying from the disease of like low expectations like we make excuses for
00:51 young people young people will rise and meet expectations if you hold them to
00:55 that and no one does no one on our staff does it better than Donnie. With this
00:57 Husker Max practice report I'm Matt McMaster.
