00:00 >> What's this been like?
00:01 You're one of the new guys here, but a veteran as well,
00:04 some starting experience, kind of what's this process been?
00:06 >> Really, it's just been great cuz everybody's just welcoming me in and
00:13 making me comfortable and I felt like family since day one.
00:16 I never really knew how I was gonna be being another new guy at a different
00:23 school, but it just feels good to be in a different vibe.
00:27 It's a better vibe for sure.
00:29 And be around people that are like brothers already.
00:33 >> I was gonna ask you how much did just having some experience with Coach Meade
00:37 help in terms of just kind of integrating you with everybody else?
00:39 >> So I already know how Coach Meade is and he knows how I am.
00:43 So he hasn't changed since the first day I met him.
00:48 He's been the same person ever since.
00:52 It's basically the same stuff, it's just a different school.
00:57 >> Does that help with your transition in terms of just getting familiar?
00:59 I mean, do you transfer sometimes you have to new position coach and
01:02 that part's already out of that.
01:04 >> Yeah, it just made it easy cuz I already know what he likes to coach and
01:06 stuff like that.
01:07 So it's been stuff that I've been working with for the past two years.
01:12 But really it's just been like the players and all the other staff really
01:15 just making it smooth transition really.
01:19 >> You talked to Gonzo at all?
01:21 >> Yeah.
01:22 >> What did he share with you?
01:24 >> He was just telling me to trust the process and
01:26 that just believe that I'm here for a reason.
01:31 Everybody here is family, they're gonna treat me well and all that good stuff.
01:35 >> How much of an impact did that have, being able to see him come from Colorado,
01:38 have so much success here, then you wanted to kind of follow that same path?
01:43 >> Yep, so it actually is a big impact for me because it's like
01:47 the same exact thing that happened.
01:52 So he did two years at Colorado, he left, coached me and
01:56 came to Oregon and then see what he did.
01:58 So it's just like I'm not trying to follow anybody's path, but
02:03 it's my own path, so I have to be myself.
02:07 But I just feel like I have all the resources that I need here because
02:11 that's what happened with him.
