00:00 How's your day been and what are some of the highlights that you've experienced?
00:03 Days have been very active, but been very, very special.
00:06 Spending time with the kids at the academy,
00:09 that'll help them hopefully learn a little bit of basketball,
00:12 but also life and just have fun.
00:13 The best part about the summer is just spend time,
00:16 be accessible, be available.
00:18 I love Dallas so far.
00:19 I've been here for like three days now,
00:21 and moved here officially in September,
00:24 but just enjoying it.
00:25 I'm trying my best to get accustomed.
00:27 You have your own camps.
00:28 Also, what has the summer like been for you?
00:31 What else are you expecting?
00:32 Summer's been busy.
00:33 It's never stopped.
00:34 So I leave here and go somewhere and do a wedding next.
00:37 So keep moving around, but summer's been really active for me.
00:40 I try my best to be involved,
00:41 try and do as much community work as possible,
00:43 but also be able to be present for my friends and family.
00:47 Something that I try and do at the end of my camp is called money game.
00:51 But the way we do it is we start the first day of camp,
00:54 maybe $10 under each cone, and then 3.1.
00:57 Next day will be 20, next day will be 50, and the last day is 100.
01:00 So in the half course, I had a twist where you shoot a 400-yard bill,
01:05 and you give the campers a chance.
01:06 So I wanted to do that here, give them an opportunity to have some fun,
01:09 and give them a chance to eat some dinner.
01:10 So they're still doing it right now, but it's super exciting.
01:14 And you know, this is huge joy.
01:16 What was your favorite part of basketball camp for you?
01:20 And out of that--
01:22 I learned the money game from Sam Mitchell, Sam Mark basketball camp.
01:25 That's why I started it in mind.
01:27 But my favorite part about camp is just being out here with my friends,
01:30 meeting new people, and just enjoying the special moments.
01:33 Even if players didn't come, being able to be involved and really spend
01:37 that time and get ready to basketball a lot.
01:39 So you got there from your foot traps, except your hand is OK?
01:43 Yeah, things are going decent.
01:45 A couple more weeks, so I can get these bloody tints off fully.
01:47 But I'm feeling pretty good.
01:49 The hands are great.
01:50 I'm starting to get a little recovery for me.
01:52 So I actually am having the last call tomorrow.
01:56 So super excited to be able to start playing again after today.
02:00 We heard you talking about how excited and how much you love Dallas.
02:03 Where does that excitement and that passion come from?
02:06 It comes from the organization, how they welcome me.
02:09 But also, someone familiar with me told me
02:12 that Dallas is just like Charlotte, in a way.
02:15 It's just like the southern Charlotte in terms of city.
02:17 And I love Charlotte.
02:18 Charlotte's probably a place I'll move back.
02:19 So if that's the case, I know Dallas is up there.
02:22 And every time I've come here, the city's been amazing.
02:24 I've enjoyed the food.
02:25 I've enjoyed the people, the culture.
02:26 So I'm super excited to be a part of the organization now,
02:29 so I can at least feel a little more involved in the community itself.
02:32 So what's the thing you're most looking forward to playing with Luca,
02:37 that as an opponent, you had to deal with,
02:40 and you don't have to deal with it anymore?
02:42 Outside of open shots, probably the most exciting thing I'll have with Luca
02:47 is just seeing how he plays the game, seeing how skilled he is.
02:50 The benefit of playing against him, you understand how special he is on the floor.
02:54 And the way he plays, how he sees the game.
02:58 And the growth that I hope I can bring with him is this consistent effort
03:03 on the right way, making the right read every single time,
03:05 no matter if it's good or bad.
03:07 And guys make shots, and just make sure to stay uplifting.
03:10 Because I love how he plays.
03:12 I love the player that he is and the person that he is.
03:15 He's amazing, too.
03:15 So letting that shine light more than just the basketball player.
03:20 >> It's a little warmer here than Charlotte, though, isn't it?
03:23 >> Just a little bit.
03:24 I was about to say, when you walk outside and you start sweating,
03:27 not necessarily used to that.
03:29 But it's better than being freezing, so.
03:30 >> It helps a little bit.
03:31 >> This is true.
03:32 >> All right.
03:34 >> All right. >> Appreciate it.
