00:00 Good morning. Here are the first news of GMA Integrated News.
00:05 Because of the constant floods in Pangasinan,
00:13 there are families who are still staying in evacuation centers.
00:16 They are being schooled for a week in the flood.
00:19 So the teachers are worried.
00:22 We have first news from Joanne Ponsoy of GMA Regional TV, 1 North Central Luzon.
00:28 Joanne.
00:30 Even though it is in low-lying areas,
00:34 and the river is just beside Talibao,
00:37 that's how much the flood is experienced here.
00:41 This is what's happening in Talibao Elementary School in Calasio, Pangasinan.
00:48 The school canteen is submerged in the flood.
00:50 In the depths of the flood, vegetables were also swallowed during the school.
00:53 The grounds in the parking area were also flooded by students and teachers
00:59 until now.
01:03 The flood has been experienced for a week here.
01:06 If it continues, the flood will increase.
01:09 So the teachers and learners are praying that the flood will not continue
01:14 so that the flood will subside quickly.
01:17 The grade 1 teacher Dulce is busy cleaning the classroom.
01:20 All of her equipment was raised so no one was submerged in the flood.
01:24 The reason is that some are still being watered,
01:28 some are not yet filled.
01:31 It's in low-lying areas.
01:33 It's been two years since the new school was built.
01:37 The flood has almost reached some parts of Barangay Talibao.
01:41 Some houses are still submerged in the flood.
01:43 Some residents did not move and chose to stay in the second floor of their house.
01:48 Residents are using a raft and a raft.
01:51 We are still swimming here.
01:54 You are not leaving?
01:56 No, ma'am.
01:57 Because of the animals,
02:00 some are being used to avoid being submerged in the flood.
02:04 Residents made an improvised raft from a trunk or banana tree.
02:09 Whenever there is a flood in Bacuran,
02:11 most people make a hole in the rock
02:15 so that they can pass through and enter the house.
02:17 But residents are being discarded
02:21 if they cannot use the door,
02:23 the back glassine, or the window mirror to enter the house.
02:27 We are used to entering through the window.
02:30 If there is no water, I will go back.
02:34 Relief goods were distributed to the local government in some barangays in Dagupan City
02:40 affected by the wide flood.
02:42 The City Health Office also accompanied the medical mission and distributed the relief goods to the evacuees.
02:47 We are now distributing relief goods to the people.
02:52 We are also giving doxycycline for leptospirosis.
02:57 In Peoples Astrodome, 35 families have not been able to return home due to the flood.
03:02 In Barangay Bakayaw Sur,
03:04 a Filipino woman is wearing a botak even inside her house due to the deep flood.
03:09 The flood has been going on for a long time.
03:12 It is a big problem because we do not know where to get clothes and other items when it floods.
03:19 The LGU carried out a wide-ranging operation on the drainage system in the middle of the flood.
03:26 The drainage canal was filled with garbage.
03:29 It needs to be cleaned so that the flood can be removed quickly.
03:38 The flood is still very intense in Pangasinan Province.
03:43 The flood is still five feet deep in Talibao.
03:48 It will take a week for the flood to subside.
03:51 The flood will continue to rise depending on the weather.
