00:00 Oh, bro Kim, you know, with the passage of time, we're doing so many things to have fun, right?
00:06 You're right, Susan.
00:07 The same old habits are still there, but now, look,
00:11 there are people who are jumping on the buildings and rolling on the streets.
00:15 Why are they doing that?
00:17 That's what we call parkour.
00:19 Parkour.
00:20 You should know that extreme sports, in my story, should be...
00:24 You know, parkour.
00:29 Jumping on the buildings is a way of life.
00:32 And people are rolling on the streets.
00:35 Even in the city, you can do obstacle course.
00:37 You can jump, run, climb, and even do tumbling.
00:42 After the point A to B of this extreme activity,
00:45 it's already close.
00:46 Because now, we'll know what life is behind the sports of parkour.
00:50 Christian Besa is a fitness trainer.
00:52 He said the challenge was accepted.
00:54 After an hour session with Coach Paul,
00:57 will Christian be able to stand up while doing a backflip?
01:00 Paul was a former fitness coach,
01:05 so it wasn't hard for him to learn parkour.
01:08 I started this when I was just watching TV.
01:12 They have a film of people tumbling on the building.
01:15 And I thought to myself, "Wow, those people are so cool.
01:19 How did they do that? They look like ninjas."
01:21 Those are the people who motivated me, that's why I learned parkour.
01:25 Coach Paul is known for being able to teach a stunt called a backflip in an hour.
01:29 For me, it's a new skill to unlock,
01:31 which I didn't do in college.
01:34 I was in competitive dancing in college.
01:37 Before, I really wanted to learn it to add to my skill set-up.
01:42 But I didn't try it before in college because I was afraid of what might happen to me.
01:46 I prepared my body for this day.
01:49 But before the session, what should you prepare before doing parkour?
01:54 The number one thing you need to think about is,
01:57 are you physically prepared to do it?
01:59 You can't go straight to parkour if you haven't exercised before.
02:03 Or if you don't have sports or daily activities.
02:07 Parkour is an extreme sport.
02:09 You can't go straight to it if you're not physically active.
02:14 Christian, are you ready?
02:17 Timer starts now.

02:24 Oh, that was fun!
02:26 While Christian was learning how to do a backflip,
02:28 Juliana Candelaria, a multi-gold medalist of the Philippine team in taekwondo,
02:32 also tried learning parkour.
02:34 I started learning parkour at the end of June.
02:38 I told myself that I really need to learn parkour
02:41 to enhance my taekwondo freestyle.
02:45 For an athlete like Juliana,
02:47 parkour is a big help to her.
02:49 Parkour is really important because it's agility,
02:53 and your energy should be high,
02:56 and you should always give 100% for each flip you do,
03:00 not just for fun.
03:01 Let's go to the moment of truth.
03:03 Will Christian be able to stand up for his backflip?
03:06 [Cheering]
03:09 It's so fun.
03:12 I'm a bit nervous, mixed emotions.
03:15 I've been telling myself that I've accomplished a lot of things,
03:21 and I'm so happy.
03:23 In life, we have a lot of ups and downs.
03:26 We can't overcome our fears,
03:29 but there's no impossibility for someone who believes in himself.
