00:00:25 - The trauma.
00:00:26 - This is silk, get out of the style.
00:00:28 - I haven't done a lot of sewing.
00:00:31 - Remember that twist I mentioned?
00:00:33 This season, there is no immunity.
00:00:36 - What?
00:00:37 - I'm gonna have a heart attack.
00:00:38 - Seriously?

00:00:43 - What?
00:00:44 No.

00:01:28 (upbeat music)
00:01:31 - All right, guys.
00:01:33 It's time to leave the past behind.
00:01:35 - Thank you, God.
00:01:37 - You're taking a little field trip tomorrow.
00:01:39 - Okay.
00:01:40 - Yeah.
00:01:41 - I'm listening.
00:01:42 - So I'm gonna send vans to your hotel in the morning.
00:01:43 Meet me at Rockefeller Plaza, first thing.
00:01:47 - Oh, (beep)
00:01:48 - Oh, okay.
00:01:49 - All right.
00:01:50 - And it's gonna be a wild one.
00:01:51 (group cheering)
00:01:53 - Well, thank you for that.
00:01:55 - Thank you.
00:01:56 - Can we go home?
00:01:57 - No!
00:01:58 (group cheering)
00:02:01 (upbeat music)
00:02:04 - These workouts are fun.
00:02:14 Oh, (beep)
00:02:15 Cameras everywhere.
00:02:16 - Enjoy.
00:02:17 - Good.
00:02:18 - Wonder what's happening.
00:02:18 - What is this?
00:02:20 (upbeat music)
00:02:22 (upbeat music)
00:02:25 - Oh my God.
00:02:33 - What is that?
00:02:34 - A little car.
00:02:35 - A toy.
00:02:36 - It's a toy.
00:02:37 Follow me.
00:02:37 (upbeat music)
00:02:40 - Where are we going?
00:02:42 Where are we going?
00:02:42 - Where are we going?
00:02:43 - Come on, come on little Christian, come on.
00:02:45 (upbeat music)
00:02:47 - Oh my goodness.
00:02:49 - Good morning, boys and girls.
00:02:51 I mean designers.
00:02:52 Welcome to our world of toys, FAO Schwartz.
00:02:56 Christian is waiting for you inside.
00:02:58 (group cheering)
00:03:00 (upbeat music)
00:03:03 - You look great.
00:03:16 (group cheering)
00:03:21 - Welcome to the iconic FAO Schwartz.
00:03:24 (group cheering)
00:03:25 It is time for Project Runways most feared.
00:03:29 - God, turn down.
00:03:31 - Most revered and famed way to torture designers.
00:03:36 The unconventional materials challenge.
00:03:38 (group cheering)
00:03:41 - Okay, I'm happy now.
00:03:42 - Fun and whimsy are widespread
00:03:44 across runways everywhere now.
00:03:46 Tom Brown doing teddy bear top hat in Milan.
00:03:49 Gucci models were sporting gremlin bags and skirts
00:03:53 and Moschino just sent models down the runway
00:03:55 in pool floats.
00:03:57 Your unconventional materials challenge
00:03:59 is to create whimsical runway looks from toys.
00:04:03 (man laughing)
00:04:05 All the toys you see here.
00:04:08 This is a two day challenge.
00:04:10 - Yes.
00:04:11 (group cheering)
00:04:11 - Oh, hallelujah.
00:04:13 - The judges are not gonna wanna see a whole dress
00:04:17 made out of stuffed animals at the fabric.
00:04:20 That's not impressing anybody.
00:04:21 You have 45 minutes to shop.
00:04:23 - Okay.
00:04:24 - And you each get $2,000.
00:04:27 (group cheering)
00:04:29 This challenge is really about creating new textiles
00:04:32 and like leaning into your ingenuity,
00:04:34 which you all can do.
00:04:35 - Yes.
00:04:36 - Now for your models.
00:04:37 Okay, grab a bear.
00:04:39 - Cute.
00:04:40 - Those are your models.
00:04:43 Oh wow, Jesus.
00:04:44 - Oh my God.
00:04:45 - Oh my God.
00:04:47 - Oh, that was who I had.
00:04:48 - Back to your spots, back to your spots,
00:04:50 back to your spots, back to your spots.
00:04:52 All right, designers, you'll have sketch time
00:04:53 when you get back to the workroom.
00:04:55 Okay, go.
00:04:59 (group cheering)
00:05:02 - I mean, what's this?
00:05:04 - Come on, baby.
00:05:05 - This is insane.
00:05:07 - Very balanced, wonderful.
00:05:09 - What are you getting?
00:05:12 - A (beep) kind of red and black and white stuff.
00:05:15 - What else is new?
00:05:15 - Primary color, listen.
00:05:17 - Ah, unconventional again.
00:05:22 Let's go back to season 19.
00:05:24 I went home on this challenge,
00:05:27 but this time it's different though.
00:05:29 Baby, this is my store.
00:05:31 I already know.
00:05:32 As a kid, I loved toys,
00:05:34 but growing up in Haiti, I've never really got them.
00:05:37 People are trying to survive.
00:05:39 Okay, let's just put it that way.
00:05:41 But first time in the United States,
00:05:42 my mom was just showing me around
00:05:44 and she took me to a few stores.
00:05:46 I was still young and I thought
00:05:47 it was the most magical place.
00:05:50 I would like to buy this little girl's dress.
00:05:52 It's probably one of my favorite places in New York.
00:05:55 - I feel like my hoo-ha is out.
00:05:58 I've always been interested in fashion.
00:06:00 I've always been a high maintenance queen.
00:06:02 My favorite thing to do as a kid was dress up.
00:06:04 I'm talking like my great-great-grandmother's purse
00:06:08 with the satin gloves.
00:06:09 I wanted the good stuff.
00:06:10 To me, whimsy is making sure
00:06:12 that this thing is fun and playful.
00:06:14 Look how cute this is.
00:06:15 (laughing)
00:06:16 Is it worth $20 just for the pom-pom?
00:06:19 Okay, let's just treat ourselves.
00:06:20 - Carisone, what are you getting?
00:06:24 Oh, all these little colorful little macaroons.
00:06:26 - Yeah, macaroons.
00:06:27 - Wow, look at these.
00:06:29 You cannot be getting,
00:06:31 you don't need any more of these.
00:06:32 - You don't know that.
00:06:33 I don't know that.
00:06:34 - That's a lot.
00:06:36 You've had so many of these.
00:06:37 - I had five.
00:06:38 What if I need seven?
00:06:39 (laughing)
00:06:40 - One of the coolest parties that I ever had
00:06:42 when I was a kid,
00:06:43 I think I was probably like eight years old,
00:06:45 my mom bought a bunch of blank teddy bears
00:06:47 from the dollar store,
00:06:48 and then she and a couple friends
00:06:49 helped us make our own customized teddy bears,
00:06:51 and it was so cool.
00:06:53 I gotta say, that was one of the things
00:06:54 that really got me going as a designer,
00:06:56 seeing them work.
00:06:57 If I've made clothing for teddy bears,
00:06:59 I'm sure I can make clothing out of teddy bears.
00:07:01 (upbeat music)
00:07:03 I love this toy store.
00:07:06 I'm getting two.
00:07:07 How much are they?
00:07:08 - $60.
00:07:09 - Thank you.
00:07:10 - What are these?
00:07:11 - I'm picking up a lot of little pieces,
00:07:13 'cause I wanna create my own textile, so.
00:07:14 - That's cool.
00:07:16 - Oh yeah, those are mine.
00:07:17 - Rami, what are these?
00:07:20 - Those are kites.
00:07:22 - Kites?
00:07:23 - Yeah.
00:07:24 - Cool.
00:07:25 - Look at Kane.
00:07:26 - 10 minutes.
00:07:27 If all of you send out plushy teddy bear thingies
00:07:30 and umbrella dresses,
00:07:32 I'ma lose it.
00:07:33 - Oh, have this for my boy at home.
00:07:38 When I see all the toys,
00:07:40 makes me feel I wish my baby were here.
00:07:43 I kinda draw inspiration from the moments
00:07:46 that I had with my baby with this challenge.
00:07:49 I'm done shopping for the challenge.
00:07:51 I'm shopping for my boy now.
00:07:53 I don't know.
00:07:57 Do I have a game plan?
00:07:58 The one thing that's not exciting to me
00:08:02 is unconventional, like toys.
00:08:06 In the real world, that unconventional stuff does not exist.
00:08:10 So my only game plan is to spend all the money
00:08:13 that they give us so I have options.
00:08:17 - I'll figure it out.
00:08:18 - All right, designers.
00:08:19 - You better hurry up.
00:08:20 You have four minutes.
00:08:21 - That was fun.
00:08:31 - It is a little (beep) hot in here.
00:08:35 - I'm sorry, puzzles.
00:08:38 - It is chaos in line.
00:08:40 - I'm gonna take my hat off.
00:08:43 - Hey.
00:08:44 - All right, designers, that's time.
00:08:47 That's it.
00:08:48 You need to be in line, checking out.
00:08:51 - Thanks for having us.
00:08:52 - Bye-bye, you're welcome.
00:08:54 - I'll see you soon.
00:08:54 We'll have a lunch.
00:08:55 - Fabulous.
00:08:56 - This is gonna be fun.
00:09:04 - Again.
00:09:05 - We're back.
00:09:08 - We're back, back, back, back, back again.
00:09:10 - Okay.
00:09:11 - Animal is crying over there.
00:09:18 - Vectors.
00:09:19 - It's like a creepy toy sale.
00:09:21 - I'm really psyched about these.
00:09:23 - My cool tech (beep), my business from the future.
00:09:33 - So I think I'm going with like a red queen look.
00:09:36 All cards, the whole thing.
00:09:37 - I love it.
00:09:38 - The theme I'm going with is space jam glam.
00:09:45 A lot of times people hear whimsical and go colorful.
00:09:49 I want my girl to go the opposite route
00:09:52 with a futuristic feel.
00:09:54 In my head, I see a top with exaggerated shoulders
00:09:58 and some beadwork and also a skirt.
00:10:01 - Mirror, mirror on the wall.
00:10:03 Who's the winner of it all?
00:10:05 Me.
00:10:06 - I feel like the unconventional challenge
00:10:08 shows you who you are.
00:10:09 It really brings out that creativity in you.
00:10:12 - I got some rakes.
00:10:13 - Let me know if you don't use these.
00:10:16 - The outfit I'm trying to make is a short crop jacket
00:10:20 made out of the stuffings of a toy piano
00:10:23 with a gaucho kind of pant.
00:10:25 The one thing I do remember from my childhood
00:10:27 is that I took piano lessons.
00:10:29 My parents wanted us to have culture
00:10:31 and learn things when we came to America.
00:10:34 So grabbing the piano was actually a homage
00:10:36 to my childhood.
00:10:38 My parents were really sacrificing for me and my siblings.
00:10:42 - I have a little love and hate relationship
00:10:48 with unconventional.
00:10:49 - It's the unconventional materials challenge.
00:10:51 If I were a judge, I might put you in the bottom.
00:10:54 - But I don't just be giving up on stuff.
00:10:56 I don't do that.
00:10:58 I'm going to do unconventional,
00:11:00 but I have the right not to like it.
00:11:02 - Where did the batteries go?
00:11:06 This is so chaotic over here.
00:11:09 - No, this is gonna take forever.
00:11:15 Okay, whatever.
00:11:16 I'm (beep) over it.
00:11:17 - What are you doing?
00:11:18 - I am making a chain skirt
00:11:21 out of H's and other various things.
00:11:24 - This is my, this is your jam?
00:11:26 - This is my jam.
00:11:27 - I got this idea for a really cool
00:11:29 hip situation.
00:11:31 I purchased some children's umbrellas
00:11:33 that are gonna make this perfect geometric hip line
00:11:36 that's so modern and couture right now.
00:11:38 It's gonna be adorbs, can't wait.
00:11:41 I cannot rest on my laurels.
00:11:42 I won last week, which is huge,
00:11:44 but it's a little crazy that there's no immunity.
00:11:47 But this season, one minute you can be on top
00:11:49 and the next minute you can be going home.
00:11:52 What I need to figure out is if I can get these beasts out.
00:11:56 - Coming up?
00:11:56 - Let's go.
00:11:58 - Stress is real right now.
00:12:00 - This is quite aggressive.
00:12:01 - It is.
00:12:02 - What the?
00:12:04 - It's not telling me a story.
00:12:05 It's not giving me a clear point of view.
00:12:07 I don't know why you did it.
00:12:09 (upbeat music)
00:12:15 - You're killing it.
00:12:22 (laughing)
00:12:24 - Hi everybody.
00:12:26 - Hey.
00:12:27 - How are you?
00:12:28 - Hey Christian.
00:12:29 - Good.
00:12:29 - Are we filled with joy?
00:12:31 - Yeah.
00:12:32 - We are.
00:12:32 - Oh yeah.
00:12:33 - You know it.
00:12:34 - Hi Shane.
00:12:35 - Hello, sir.
00:12:36 How are you?
00:12:37 - You have a whole dress already draped.
00:12:38 - Well, I've got big ideas.
00:12:39 She's gonna start out and be like a princess.
00:12:41 - Okay.
00:12:42 - And so she will reveal the badass queen bitch.
00:12:46 I am making this gorgeous black and white
00:12:48 strapless mermaid gown with these sculptural hips.
00:12:52 And then I am gonna make these panda bears
00:12:55 like a fox doll that's really cool.
00:12:57 This is a lot of work.
00:12:59 - I mean, I'm real fast.
00:13:00 - I know, but.
00:13:01 - I'm gonna push it tonight.
00:13:02 I'm gonna push it real hard.
00:13:03 Figure out what I can do.
00:13:04 - Good luck.
00:13:05 - Mila.
00:13:08 - You got unicorns.
00:13:09 - And I got puzzles.
00:13:10 - And puzzles.
00:13:12 - I'm gonna make a skirt
00:13:14 and it's gonna be like this fabrication.
00:13:16 - This whole skirt?
00:13:17 - Mm-hmm.
00:13:18 I'm making a skirt out of beautiful jigsaw puzzle tiles
00:13:23 that look like a painting.
00:13:25 The inspiration behind this look is magic.
00:13:28 - What's the top?
00:13:30 - The top is going to be a fur hoodie.
00:13:35 And then.
00:13:35 - You sure?
00:13:37 - Too much.
00:13:38 - It's not as like sophisticated
00:13:41 as I feel like your clothes are.
00:13:43 - If this were 13 years ago,
00:13:45 I don't think I would have picked plush unicorns
00:13:48 as my material.
00:13:50 In season seven, I chose black and white
00:13:53 corrugated plastic paint tray liners.
00:13:55 That's on brand with who I am.
00:13:58 But you know, there's another side of me
00:14:00 that's developed in the last 13 years that is softer.
00:14:04 And I think that that's why I want to try something new.
00:14:08 - If you can make it feel really new and modern,
00:14:10 it'll be exciting.
00:14:11 Brittany.
00:14:18 - Hey.
00:14:19 - I see your tea party over here.
00:14:20 - Yes.
00:14:21 - Tea party, smashing the mosaic.
00:14:23 That's what I thought for like the bodice
00:14:24 and kind of make it like really intricate
00:14:26 and make it look like beading
00:14:27 and then have the skirt just be insanely full.
00:14:30 - No, you can't just use this fabric.
00:14:33 - It's a tent.
00:14:35 - But it just looks like fabric.
00:14:37 Like twisted or turned or stitched and rose and cut up.
00:14:41 And you've got to show that it's something else in a way.
00:14:45 - Okay, I will.
00:14:46 I'll push it.
00:14:47 - Bye.
00:14:48 - See ya.
00:14:49 - Fabio.
00:14:49 - Hey.
00:14:50 - You can't just do a card dress.
00:14:52 - Why not?
00:14:53 - That is so easy.
00:14:55 You've got to do something to these cards,
00:14:57 fold them, mold them.
00:14:58 Maybe they intertwine.
00:14:59 That's what I mean.
00:15:00 - Got it.
00:15:01 Wow.
00:15:02 Maybe a little too dry for me.
00:15:04 Could have used a little lube,
00:15:05 but I guess what you're saying makes sense.
00:15:08 I'm going to rethink what's going to happen with these cards
00:15:10 because I'm still going to use the cards.
00:15:12 - Hi.
00:15:13 - You have the most stuff, I think.
00:15:14 - Do I?
00:15:15 - Yes.
00:15:16 - So the idea is to kind of create a collage
00:15:18 on a fitted dress.
00:15:20 You've got dragons.
00:15:21 - I do, I got dragons.
00:15:22 And then I have these from the kites as well.
00:15:26 - These are kind of fast.
00:15:27 - Growing up in Palestine,
00:15:31 kites for me were a sign of like joy and hope.
00:15:35 When you look at a kite,
00:15:36 you always have your head up high
00:15:38 and you're looking up to the sky.
00:15:40 As a kid who lost their mother at the age of five,
00:15:44 living under military aggression and curfews
00:15:48 and dark times really,
00:15:50 for me it's symbolic of keeping your head up
00:15:53 and looking for the brighter side of things.
00:15:56 I may use them as almost like a sleeve detail.
00:16:01 - If you need it, like edit yourself a little bit.
00:16:03 - Yeah.
00:16:04 - Can't wait to see.
00:16:05 - Me too.
00:16:06 Sorry, let me turn off.
00:16:07 - Sorry, what is that?
00:16:08 Don't answer the door.
00:16:10 - Oh, God.
00:16:11 Sorry.
00:16:12 - All right, let's go.
00:16:14 These are just heads.
00:16:16 This is quite aggressive.
00:16:18 - It is.
00:16:18 I am not gonna use them.
00:16:20 - Is that what we're doing?
00:16:23 - Maybe.
00:16:24 - No, you're not.
00:16:25 - Let me show you the sketch because I think...
00:16:27 What?
00:16:30 No, please.
00:16:31 - No, I think I like it.
00:16:32 I like it.
00:16:33 - Okay, okay.
00:16:34 - I like it.
00:16:35 - My idea is to make a trench coat.
00:16:37 I wanted to do a version of that, but whimsical.
00:16:40 I wanna bring like the campiness a little bit.
00:16:42 - What's the rest?
00:16:44 - Originally I wanted to use these.
00:16:45 - Okay, what are these?
00:16:46 The little boomerangs?
00:16:47 - Yeah, they're boomerangs.
00:16:48 They like...
00:16:49 - Are they gonna work?
00:16:50 - No, you have to go like this.
00:16:51 - Why?
00:16:52 - Oh, you have to go straight.
00:16:54 - Let me do it.
00:16:56 - Like that.
00:16:56 - Oh, fabulous.
00:16:58 I could do it all day.
00:16:59 - Yeah, me too.
00:17:00 - So I think this is your chance.
00:17:02 Campy, but still really cool fashion.
00:17:05 I think that is gonna excite them.
00:17:07 - Okay, yes.
00:17:08 - Good luck.
00:17:09 - Thank you.
00:17:10 (upbeat music)
00:17:12 - Laurent.
00:17:16 - Yes?
00:17:17 - I'm so excited to see you
00:17:18 because that's looking fabulous.
00:17:19 - Thank you.
00:17:20 - What are you making?
00:17:22 - I am thinking about making a raincoat.
00:17:24 - Tell me everything.
00:17:25 - With boomerang.
00:17:26 - Oh.
00:17:27 - I'm trying to marry the toy with my style.
00:17:31 So that's why I decided to go with a hood.
00:17:34 This is a teddy bear.
00:17:36 I'm using a wooden pepperoni pizza.
00:17:39 - Pepper, oh sure.
00:17:40 - Yeah, so I had to drill holes in it.
00:17:42 Yeah.
00:17:43 - What can be the base?
00:17:44 - Sure, mix with some other stuff.
00:17:47 But I haven't figured that out yet.
00:17:48 - 'Cause the whole thing couldn't be this?
00:17:50 - I don't want it to look all like this.
00:17:53 - 'Cause that's very innovative, very cool.
00:17:56 - I don't know yet.
00:17:57 - Growing up, did you like toys or play with toys?
00:18:00 - Growing up I was a tomboy.
00:18:02 And plus I have 10 siblings, so.
00:18:03 - Wow.
00:18:05 - You get a toy in the house,
00:18:06 it lasts two days and there's no more.
00:18:07 - Yeah, never see it again.
00:18:08 - We didn't really need toys.
00:18:10 - Use your 10 people to pick on.
00:18:12 - Yeah, fight.
00:18:13 - Just fight with.
00:18:14 - Yeah, that's kind of fun.
00:18:15 Absolutely.
00:18:17 (upbeat music)
00:18:19 - See a noisy runway, I know this.
00:18:21 (laughing)
00:18:22 Like.
00:18:23 (whispering)
00:18:26 - Hello.
00:18:27 - Hi, sir.
00:18:28 - How are you?
00:18:29 - I'm.
00:18:30 - Stuff everywhere.
00:18:31 - Finding yourself here?
00:18:32 - Yeah.
00:18:33 - Where I'm from there's no such thing as whimsical.
00:18:35 So, in Haiti we don't have fairy tales.
00:18:39 It's reality.
00:18:40 If you want fairy dust and (beep)
00:18:41 I'm the wrong guy.
00:18:43 - But there's joy.
00:18:45 - There's joy.
00:18:46 - The art, music.
00:18:47 - Yes.
00:18:48 - My mind went street wear.
00:18:50 - Cool.
00:18:51 - So I took a bunch of pianos which are over there.
00:18:53 My version of whimsical would be, you know,
00:18:55 what makes us happy,
00:18:56 which is a culture of music, of food, the art.
00:18:59 I am going to make her pants out of these.
00:19:02 - The painting, fabulous, amazing.
00:19:04 - Come back to my office.
00:19:06 - Okay.
00:19:06 - The chair is gonna be one of the sleeves.
00:19:09 - The chair is one of the sleeves?
00:19:10 - Oh, and the baby blanket is the other sleeve.
00:19:13 There.
00:19:15 - This is cool stuff.
00:19:16 - This is very graphic and cool.
00:19:19 - Maybe the chair will be dead
00:19:21 and then we just use this for the sleeve.
00:19:22 - See how we work, that's when we're together.
00:19:24 - Look at that, you wanna hug?
00:19:26 Aw.
00:19:28 There you go.
00:19:28 - Good luck.
00:19:29 - Now get out of my house.
00:19:30 - Bye bye.
00:19:31 - All right designers, have fun with the toys.
00:19:33 - Thank you.
00:19:34 - Thank you.
00:19:34 - Later Kristen.
00:19:35 - Bye Kristen.
00:19:36 - I think I have a really good idea.
00:19:38 - Yep.
00:19:38 - I'm gonna use this as my skirt.
00:19:40 And I'm gonna cut these into like little strips
00:19:42 and collect them and just make it like cotton candy.
00:19:45 - Mm-hmm.
00:19:46 - When you have only like three,
00:19:47 obviously it doesn't look that good.
00:19:49 But when that whole thing's full.
00:19:50 - Oh no, I know what you mean.
00:19:52 - What?
00:19:52 (upbeat music)
00:19:54 - Get your (beep) together.
00:19:56 - Stress is real, ain't it?
00:19:58 There's no joy over here, okay?
00:20:00 - What about the wonder?
00:20:01 - Wonder if I'm gonna finish.
00:20:03 - Hey guys, that's time.
00:20:06 Let's go home, no toying around.
00:20:08 (laughing)
00:20:10 - (beep) so hard.
00:20:11 I need my emotional support.
00:20:13 - Here you go, the last one.
00:20:15 Well, the last one who's not taken apart in a strange way.
00:20:20 - Coming up.
00:20:20 - Brittany. - What?
00:20:21 - Did any of the little piggies go to the market?
00:20:24 - What?
00:20:25 - Did any of the little piggies go to the market?
00:20:26 - You said what?
00:20:27 - Damn.
00:20:28 - You're facing that way, damn it.
00:20:30 - I'm not, damn it.
00:20:31 - Don't scream at me.
00:20:33 (upbeat music)
00:20:35 - So how do you feel?
00:20:50 - I reworked my top.
00:20:52 Like after Christian's critique of it,
00:20:54 I want it to feel kind of magical,
00:20:56 but still feel like ready to wear.
00:20:58 How are you guys feeling though?
00:20:59 Do you think you're gonna be ready
00:21:00 for the model fittings to fit something?
00:21:03 - No.
00:21:04 - No? - No.
00:21:04 - You should be ready to go on the runway.
00:21:07 - Yeah. - That's it.
00:21:08 - I'm ready to get started, like to get back in.
00:21:10 - 'Cause I feel like today's gonna go by really fast.
00:21:13 - Okay, let's go.
00:21:14 (upbeat music)
00:21:17 - Let's hop to it.
00:21:20 Oh my God.
00:21:25 - Y'all, this room needs Jesus.
00:21:26 - It needs more than that.
00:21:28 - So much stuff everywhere.
00:21:30 - The fingers are burning.
00:21:32 - Talk.
00:21:33 Fabio and Brittany seem a little stressed.
00:21:35 They are going glue gun hard,
00:21:36 which to me is usually not a unconventional win,
00:21:39 but they have committed.
00:21:41 I think a truly good unconventional look
00:21:43 doesn't need a glue gun.
00:21:45 - Here, look, 'cause I'm really proud of this.
00:21:47 I'm gonna, I'm gonna do a proper, like a waistband.
00:21:50 I think it's gonna be a perfect length.
00:21:52 - If you do the elastic, like pretty much the size
00:21:54 of her waist, when she put it on,
00:21:56 you will see the elastic.
00:21:56 - Exactly.
00:21:57 Problem solving on steroids.
00:21:59 - That's what Project Runway is.
00:22:01 - Hey.
00:22:07 - What do you think?
00:22:08 - Do you think this looks okay, this texture?
00:22:10 Like I wanna make the whole body like this.
00:22:12 - Yeah.
00:22:13 - My sketch. - You have enough.
00:22:14 Because if you get half done,
00:22:16 and then only half is done and you run out, you're screwed.
00:22:19 - I'm gonna have to whore myself around to find enough.
00:22:23 - Yeah.
00:22:24 - To complete the look, it's my mission to find
00:22:27 as many boomerangs as I can.
00:22:28 - Do you have this color?
00:22:29 - Not that color.
00:22:30 - You want this?
00:22:31 - Yeah, I would love them.
00:22:32 - Thank you.
00:22:33 - Thank you.
00:22:35 - It's a little bit of a suspense for me
00:22:38 because I don't know if I'm gonna get them in my hand.
00:22:42 If Katya could just give me half of her yellow whims,
00:22:45 I will have more than enough.
00:22:47 - Yeah.
00:22:48 - Victor, are you using those little piggies or no?
00:22:58 - No.
00:22:59 - Oh, so I can have them for sure.
00:23:00 Oh, perfect.
00:23:01 - Brittany.
00:23:01 - What?
00:23:02 - Did any of the little piggies go to the market?
00:23:04 - What?
00:23:05 - Did any of the little piggies go to the market?
00:23:08 - Yeah, all of them are going to the market.
00:23:09 - We're all going to the market.
00:23:11 - My girl's gonna be a little late
00:23:12 'cause she's gonna have to come from the future
00:23:13 to meet up with y'all.
00:23:15 - You said what?
00:23:15 - My girl, damn.
00:23:17 - You're facing that way.
00:23:19 - I didn't know, damn it.
00:23:20 - Quit screaming.
00:23:21 - That's gonna be on commercials next on Project Runway.
00:23:27 - Hi everybody.
00:23:28 - Hi Christian.
00:23:29 - Hi Christian.
00:23:30 - How's it going?
00:23:31 - Hi Christian.
00:23:32 - Hi Christian.
00:23:33 - Everyone feeling whimsical?
00:23:34 - Whimsical.
00:23:35 - Who wants a model?
00:23:38 - Me.
00:23:39 - You need one?
00:23:40 - Please, thank you.
00:23:40 - Bath.
00:23:41 - Here they come.
00:23:43 - Awesome.
00:23:44 - Woo.
00:23:45 - Good to see you.
00:23:54 - I just want it to be like fun.
00:23:55 - Playful.
00:23:56 - Playful, yeah.
00:23:57 - This is from like inside of a piano.
00:23:59 - No way.
00:24:00 - Right?
00:24:01 - Since we're coming off a win,
00:24:02 we gotta really bring it.
00:24:04 - Let's try this on first.
00:24:09 It's gonna be a little cold.
00:24:10 - Honey, have you seen inside?
00:24:12 - This is so cool.
00:24:15 - It's all gonna be cards.
00:24:16 - The placement is perfect.
00:24:19 - Oh my God, this is perfect.
00:24:21 - What the?
00:24:23 - If you walk, does it feel better?
00:24:26 - Better, right?
00:24:27 Okay, cool, cool.
00:24:29 - Anna.
00:24:30 What is this?
00:24:32 - This is the bag from the piano.
00:24:34 And she will have a hat,
00:24:37 and also a baby swimming float,
00:24:40 and a pacifier.
00:24:42 - What?
00:24:43 Why?
00:24:45 - Yeah, that's--
00:24:46 - She's a baby?
00:24:47 - Yes.
00:24:48 - Really?
00:24:49 - Oh my God, that's my baby's movements.
00:24:53 - Okay.
00:24:56 - Yes.
00:24:56 - Why are you crying?
00:25:00 No.
00:25:01 This is not crying.
00:25:02 - I've seen the baby.
00:25:05 - Oh my God.
00:25:06 Oh my God.
00:25:08 Oh my God.
00:25:10 Okay, Anna, let's talk about a few things real quick.
00:25:13 Come here, come here.
00:25:14 Okay.
00:25:15 This gray dress.
00:25:16 You can't show that.
00:25:18 It's a wrinkled mess.
00:25:20 They'll tear you apart.
00:25:23 (dramatic music)
00:25:26 This gray dress.
00:25:31 - Uh-huh.
00:25:32 - Anna, you can't show that.
00:25:34 It's a wrinkled mess.
00:25:36 You are dark and sexy and glamorous.
00:25:40 Those are your clothes,
00:25:41 and avant-garde,
00:25:42 and that's what you should do here.
00:25:44 - Okay.
00:25:45 Thank you.
00:25:46 - Okay.
00:25:47 (Anna laughs)
00:25:48 (Anna groans)
00:25:50 - I gotta paint it,
00:25:51 I gotta tape it.
00:25:53 You're gonna have a little red cropped fur jacket
00:25:55 that you can do a reveal and throw on the ground, okay?
00:25:57 And this will have the hood.
00:25:59 - And then I do still wanna add this to my skirt too.
00:26:02 - That's dope, but you can't see.
00:26:04 - It's okay, I don't need to.
00:26:05 (TJ laughs)
00:26:06 - You have to see.
00:26:07 - It was such a pleasure.
00:26:09 - Thank you.
00:26:11 - All right.
00:26:12 All right, designers.
00:26:14 Tomorrow, it's runway day.
00:26:16 - Love it.
00:26:17 - Yay!
00:26:18 - Happens quick.
00:26:19 Good luck, I'll see you tomorrow.
00:26:20 Bye.
00:26:21 - Bye.
00:26:22 - Thanks, Christian.
00:26:22 - Bye, guys.
00:26:23 - I kinda want this for myself.
00:26:25 - Okay, let's go.
00:26:28 (upbeat music)
00:26:31 - What are you using now?
00:26:33 - A dress with the texture on it.
00:26:35 - Nice.
00:26:36 - Yeah.
00:26:37 - Ruffles?
00:26:38 - Ruffles, definitely.
00:26:39 I changed my design immediately.
00:26:41 I'm adding ruffle texture on top of the body
00:26:45 to bring some fairy tale kind of energy.
00:26:48 - Better work, honey.
00:26:49 - Anna's look, there's no toys there at all.
00:26:52 (upbeat music)
00:26:55 - How's it going?
00:26:57 - These are macarons.
00:26:58 - They're macarons.
00:27:00 - Why did it look like a textured leather almost?
00:27:03 'Cause it is, it's rubber.
00:27:04 (upbeat music)
00:27:07 - You gonna have enough?
00:27:11 - I really need Kato's.
00:27:13 At this point, I don't have enough yellow boomerangs.
00:27:16 Kato has some boomerangs,
00:27:18 but I don't know if I'm gonna get them in my hand.
00:27:22 When we were in All Stars previously,
00:27:25 Kato and I were very competitive against each other,
00:27:27 and it wasn't a good feeling.
00:27:30 Kato's look, you could call it a curtain.
00:27:33 Where's the design?
00:27:34 - Where'd you buy shirts, man?
00:27:36 - Oh, you didn't think I was gonna win?
00:27:38 I am in big trouble.
00:27:40 - Why?
00:27:41 - I don't have enough to go all the way up.
00:27:43 So at this point, I'm kind of counting only on Kato.
00:27:46 Maybe if she doesn't use them,
00:27:47 maybe I'll use hers.
00:27:49 - Take the rest of the yellow.
00:27:51 - Are you sure?
00:27:52 I didn't wanna like...
00:27:53 - Here, I'll take it.
00:27:54 - Thank you.
00:27:55 - I'm gonna give you these.
00:27:56 - Thank you.
00:27:57 Last time, I think I was probably a little too competitive.
00:28:01 You know what I mean? - Yeah.
00:28:02 - I was definitely immature, and I'm sorry.
00:28:04 After that season, I left home,
00:28:08 and I thought of you a lot.
00:28:11 I had to air that out eventually.
00:28:14 It takes a lot for anyone to admit
00:28:17 when they're in the wrong.
00:28:19 Much respect to him for just saying sorry.
00:28:22 I appreciate that, Victor.
00:28:23 Look at this healing energy we got in this room right now.
00:28:26 - Bring the wonder.
00:28:29 - Bring the whimsy.
00:28:30 (upbeat music)
00:28:33 - I'm stressed.
00:28:36 - Why are you stressed?
00:28:37 The back looks so cool.
00:28:38 - I have a hood, I have shoulders.
00:28:43 I just gotta put a body on it.
00:28:45 If it took me that long to do that piece,
00:28:49 I'm just gonna come up with something else
00:28:50 for the body quickly.
00:28:52 I have this piano, plastic-y fabric
00:28:55 that I'm gonna use as a base.
00:28:56 But it's simple math equations.
00:28:59 Am I being realistic,
00:29:00 and am I gonna have enough time to finish?
00:29:03 - You guys, 10 minutes left.
00:29:06 - No.
00:29:07 - Where are you going?
00:29:09 - He's gonna go and spray it.
00:29:11 - Come on, baby.
00:29:12 (upbeat music)
00:29:14 - Dunk the mosaic part.
00:29:15 - Yay, it looks so good.
00:29:18 - This ain't a jam right now.
00:29:20 - With three minutes left in the work room,
00:29:25 you figure out a way to make things
00:29:28 (laughs)
00:29:28 burn your finger. - Faster.
00:29:30 - One last time for the road.
00:29:32 All right, everybody, it's time.
00:29:38 - We have so much to do. - Really?
00:29:38 - We're done for the day.
00:29:39 - All right, all right.
00:29:40 - Yes, it's time, I know, let's go.
00:29:42 - Let go.
00:29:43 - Ah.

00:49:29 - Thank you, Mila.
00:49:32 Okay, we'll get another one of our lowest scores
00:49:33 of the evening.
00:49:34 Hey, Rami, tell us about your look.
00:49:43 - I took the kite, and I wanted to create a color story
00:49:47 from this first one that I saw,
00:49:51 which was a butterfly shape of a kite.
00:49:53 Yeah, it's a childhood memory, so it's like,
00:49:58 it's deep for me, but...
00:50:01 (gentle music)
00:50:03 - It's okay, take your time.
00:50:06 - I would see the kites flying outside in the sky,
00:50:14 and I would see all the colors out there,
00:50:17 and it was mesmerizing.
00:50:18 I thought it was beautiful.
00:50:20 I love the splash of color in the middle of the sky,
00:50:23 so that was my inspiration.
00:50:25 - I love the concept.
00:50:27 I just think the construction of the dress fell short.
00:50:31 - It felt noisy, both literally and metaphorically.
00:50:36 - I probably could have edited somewhat.
00:50:38 - Do you feel that it did not succeed,
00:50:40 or did you feel that when you sent it out on the runway
00:50:42 that it was successful?
00:50:44 - I will stand now and honestly say
00:50:45 I do love the color story, yeah.
00:50:47 - Thank you, Rami.
00:50:50 Lyris, you can leave the runway.
00:50:54 Okay, the next look was one of our highest scores.
00:50:59 Let's get the model out here.
00:51:00 (beep)
00:51:04 - Breathe, girl.
00:51:07 - Yes, honey, I've been sweating
00:51:09 from every crevice I got in this body, I swear.
00:51:11 - Tell us about your look.
00:51:13 - The bodice is tea kettles, tea plates, and tea cups.
00:51:18 - It's really beautiful.
00:51:20 - This took most of my time.
00:51:22 This is like 20 full panels on the tent.
00:51:26 - Just the fact that you were able to create
00:51:29 that number of ruffles and construct such a beautiful skirt
00:51:32 in that time is amazing.
00:51:33 It definitely provides whimsy.
00:51:35 When I saw it, I kind of smiled.
00:51:37 - I really was very impressed with your ruching technique.
00:51:42 - Thank you.
00:51:43 - You had a strong point of view.
00:51:45 Good job.
00:51:46 - Thanks, Brittany.
00:51:48 - Hey, darling.
00:51:49 - Let's move on to one of our highest scores
00:51:52 of the evening.
00:51:53 (sighs)
00:51:58 Victor, how are you feeling?
00:52:03 - Oh my God, I'm like sweating everywhere.
00:52:06 - Tell us about your look.
00:52:08 - I really wanted to use this as a faux fur moment,
00:52:12 and the heads of the dinosaurs,
00:52:14 I really wanted you guys to see where it came from.
00:52:16 And then I love these boomerangs.
00:52:19 - Wow, those are boomerangs?
00:52:21 - These are so boomerangs.
00:52:22 - I thought those were like Polly Pocket spoons.
00:52:26 - This is so fantastic.
00:52:28 I was looking at this, trying to find a toy.
00:52:32 The complete thought is so elevated and so chic.
00:52:36 - It's beautiful.
00:52:37 I just hope you know that.
00:52:39 It's flawless.
00:52:40 - Aw, thank you.
00:52:41 Thank you so much.
00:52:42 - I mean, you were able to take these stuffed dinosaurs
00:52:45 and create a shoulder and a structure and a coat
00:52:48 that looks like it could be on a Paris runway.
00:52:51 - Really great job.
00:52:52 - Thank you so much.
00:52:53 - Roberta, you can leave the runway.
00:52:55 - Thank you.
00:52:56 - Bye, baby.
00:52:56 - Okay, next we have one of our lowest scores of the night.
00:53:00 Should we get the model out here?
00:53:02 Laurence.
00:53:09 - Yes.
00:53:10 - Tell us about your look.
00:53:11 - I used some boomerangs, fur, grommets,
00:53:18 this is part of a piano and some wooden pizza
00:53:22 from a pizza box.
00:53:24 - Well, I do know you're a very good tailor.
00:53:26 What I want to know from you is why not try?
00:53:31 Because-
00:53:36 - No, I did try.
00:53:37 - But did you?
00:53:39 I don't know.
00:53:46 - Why did you want to come back to Project Runway?
00:53:49 - I think I grew in the last six years I've been on the show
00:53:52 and just to show you what I've been doing.
00:53:55 - What would you say the story of this look was for you?
00:53:59 - I think it's a very good story.
00:54:01 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:03 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:04 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:06 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:07 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:08 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:10 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:11 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:12 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:14 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:15 I think it's a very good story.
00:54:16 - What would you say the story of this look was for you?
00:54:20 - I didn't really have a story.
00:54:22 - As I'm getting to know you for the first time,
00:54:25 I'd love to have your work tell me something about you,
00:54:30 even if the challenge takes you outside
00:54:32 of your comfort zone.
00:54:33 - I know you're a good designer.
00:54:35 I see sort of where you were trying to do a suede leather,
00:54:41 I don't know.
00:54:43 I don't know.
00:54:44 I don't know.
00:54:45 - Thank you, Laurence.
00:54:45 - Thank you.
00:54:46 - Amy, you can leave the runway.
00:54:48 - Thank you.
00:54:49 - Thank you, designers.
00:54:51 We have a lot to discuss.
00:54:53 You can leave the runway.
00:54:54 - Bye, everybody. - Thank you.
00:54:57 - Bring it in.
00:54:59 - Rami, get your ass over here.
00:55:01 - This blew my mind.
00:55:02 They made all of those looks with toys, toys.
00:55:07 - Wonderful.
00:55:09 - It really was.
00:55:10 The entire show and display of creativity was so impressive.
00:55:15 - It doesn't bring me joy,
00:55:16 but we have to come to this every single time.
00:55:19 We must choose someone to go home.
00:55:20 - What do you think, Nina?
00:55:22 - Well, Rami, I didn't think his was the worst one.
00:55:27 It was the bottom half of his work that did not feel okay.
00:55:30 - It was ill-fitting.
00:55:31 It was really stiff on the bottom,
00:55:33 but I'm willing to fight for him to see another day
00:55:36 because of his conviction and his story and his passion.
00:55:39 - There was a lot of thought that went into it.
00:55:42 It just wasn't executed as wonderfully as it could have been.
00:55:46 - 100%.
00:55:47 - Rami's look was completely finished.
00:55:50 We may not have all loved it, but Mila, Laurence,
00:55:54 there was like a shoulder that was done
00:55:56 or a breastplate that was done,
00:55:58 and everything else was like,
00:55:59 let's just hail Mary and see what happens tonight.
00:56:01 - I was surprised at Laurence's attitude about her project.
00:56:06 - I couldn't tell that she wanted to even be here.
00:56:09 - Sometimes you will meet people in the fashion business
00:56:11 that have that attitude.
00:56:12 It is part of fashion.
00:56:14 What counts is your skillset.
00:56:17 - And the thing is, the look was kind of crooked too.
00:56:19 It's great what was going on in the back,
00:56:21 but you know, the runway is facing forward.
00:56:24 - It was pretty bad.
00:56:25 - It was pretty bad, and you know what was also bad?
00:56:27 Mila.
00:56:28 - The jigsaw puzzle, half-finished skirt
00:56:31 with the lining hanging out, it lacked a story and whimsy.
00:56:35 - There was no clear point of view.
00:56:39 - And the ripped teddy bear top,
00:56:42 I can't be positive about that.
00:56:44 - They both were not great.
00:56:46 - I'm really torn.
00:56:47 - All right, do we all agree who's going home tonight?
00:56:53 - Yes.
00:56:54 - Well, let's talk about our favorites.
00:56:55 - I loved how Brittany was able to construct a skirt
00:57:00 that looked almost couture,
00:57:02 turning pieces of a kid's tent into ruffles.
00:57:05 - I feel like the mosaic bodice
00:57:08 just was really beautifully executed.
00:57:10 - It's impressive all the materials that she used.
00:57:12 She did build all of those on top of muslin,
00:57:15 which I think is just an easy way out.
00:57:18 There's too many superstars up here for her to play it safe.
00:57:21 - I totally agree.
00:57:22 - Let's talk about Kane.
00:57:24 - I really appreciated the construction of that dress.
00:57:28 The way he used the umbrella pieces on the side
00:57:30 and created that structure
00:57:32 out of really unconventional materials.
00:57:34 But it wasn't my favorite outfit.
00:57:36 - I thought it was fun.
00:57:37 I thought it delivered on technique, showmanship,
00:57:41 on storytelling.
00:57:42 Is Kane number one on my list?
00:57:45 No.
00:57:46 - You really though sold it to me.
00:57:48 I mean, you were the real estate agent
00:57:50 that I was taking out a lien.
00:57:52 - Oh, now you wanna blame Nina.
00:57:54 - I was imagining you walking up the escalator to Elle
00:57:58 with the bleeding pandas and the cape.
00:58:00 You know what I mean?
00:58:01 I had the whole vision in my mind.
00:58:03 - I still think it's wonderful.
00:58:05 I just have another favorite.
00:58:07 - I think if we're talking about
00:58:09 which outfit was the most creative,
00:58:11 I'm really torn between two outfits.
00:58:15 - Victor and Proje, I know it was pretty equal.
00:58:18 - It's really tough.
00:58:20 - Victor's look is very Moschino.
00:58:22 Proje's look is very Louis Vuitton right now.
00:58:24 Like they both felt like they could be on the runway.
00:58:28 - I really fell in love with Proje's story.
00:58:33 To make pants in such unconventional materials
00:58:36 fit that well was a challenge.
00:58:39 - He understands that his art is where it is
00:58:43 and he knows how to apply it.
00:58:45 - But also Victor felt very much him too.
00:58:48 So that's why it's such a hard decision.
00:58:50 - I don't even know how he constructed
00:58:51 those dinosaur shoulders.
00:58:53 - You could really see his expert tailoring capabilities.
00:58:58 - He just chose the loudest, most ridiculous things
00:59:00 that if those weren't perfectly lined up,
00:59:03 it would have been a total failure.
00:59:05 - It's really hard.
00:59:06 They're both so good.
00:59:07 - So do we all agree on the winner?
00:59:10 - Yes.
00:59:12 - Yeah.
00:59:13 - Okay, let's get them back out here.
00:59:16 (dramatic music)
00:59:19 - Welcome back to the runway.
00:59:25 Kane, Brittany, Victor and Proje.
00:59:31 You all showed us whimsy in a way
00:59:34 that brought us so much joy.
00:59:36 I don't think any of us have smiled so much
00:59:38 looking at you on the show.
00:59:39 - I know, same.
00:59:40 - And you should all be really proud.
00:59:42 - Thank you.
00:59:43 - Kane and Brittany.
00:59:46 You are both in.
00:59:48 Congratulations you two.
00:59:49 - Thank you, it's an honor.
00:59:50 - Our Southern Belles.
00:59:51 - Yes, Holly.
00:59:52 - You can go ahead and sashay off the runway
00:59:54 as Brandon said.
00:59:55 (all laughing)
00:59:57 - We did it.
00:59:58 - The winner of tonight's challenge
01:00:01 brought a huge smile to all of our faces.
01:00:04 The look transcended the materials it was made of
01:00:07 and delivered full on couture.
01:00:11 The winner is...
01:00:15 Victor.
01:00:16 - Thank you, thank you, thank you.
01:00:19 - How's it feel, Victor?
01:00:20 - I just wanna say thank you so much for your advice.
01:00:22 Last challenge, it means a lot because I wanna learn
01:00:27 and I also wanna better myself.
01:00:29 - We were all impressed, truly commendable.
01:00:31 - Thank you.
01:00:31 - So congratulations, you deserve this win.
01:00:33 - Thank you.
01:00:34 - And Victor, you also win a prize.
01:00:37 - What?
01:00:38 - The favorite toys of any designer,
01:00:40 an industrial sewing machine,
01:00:42 an industrial sewing machine,
01:00:44 an industrial serger.
01:00:45 - What?
01:00:46 - A full on singer suite of toys.
01:00:49 - Oh my God.
01:00:50 (all laughing)
01:00:52 Thank you.
01:00:53 - You didn't know that was coming, did you?
01:00:55 - Oh my God, thank you.
01:00:57 - You have earned it.
01:00:59 Prajay, you are also in
01:01:00 and a special congratulations to both of you
01:01:03 for really, really executing against the system.
01:01:05 - We loved your outfit.
01:01:07 It was so special and so creative.
01:01:10 - Thank you.
01:01:11 - Well done.
01:01:12 - Well done.
01:01:13 - Well done.
01:01:14 - Thank you.
01:01:15 - You won?
01:01:15 - No girl, Victor.
01:01:17 (all cheering)
01:01:19 - Come back bitch.
01:01:24 (upbeat music)
01:01:25 - Mila, Laurence and Rami.
01:01:28 Unfortunately, unconventional materials
01:01:32 were not your friend tonight.
01:01:34 And you all missed the mark for different reasons.
01:01:38 Rami.
01:01:39 (upbeat music)
01:01:43 You are in.
01:01:44 - Thank you.
01:01:46 - You may leave the runway.
01:01:48 - Thanks.
01:01:49 Thank you.
01:01:52 - For such a fun challenge,
01:01:55 this is the part that's not fun for any of us.
01:01:58 One of you will be in and one of you will be out.
01:02:02 Laurence, we didn't see you in this design
01:02:06 and ultimately it just felt uninspired.
01:02:09 (upbeat music)
01:02:12 Mila, your skirt and top lacked a point of view
01:02:17 and ultimately just didn't feel finished in the end.
01:02:21 Both of you are very talented designers
01:02:23 and that's why you're here right now.
01:02:25 So please know this was very difficult for all of us,
01:02:29 but one of you has to go home tonight.
01:02:31 (upbeat music)
01:02:34 Laurence,
01:02:40 you are in.
01:02:42 - Thank you.
01:02:46 Thank you for giving me a second chance.
01:02:48 - Please, please show us who you are.
01:02:51 - I will.
01:02:52 - Thank you so much.
01:02:53 Mila, I'm so sorry,
01:03:00 but that means unfortunately tonight you are out.
01:03:03 - Mila, it was great to see you.
01:03:06 I'm sorry this did not work out.
01:03:08 I wish I could have given you a chance
01:03:10 to see me get back on track.
01:03:12 - Thank you, Mila, for being here.
01:03:13 You may leave the runway.
01:03:14 - Thanks for the experience.
01:03:16 Leaving the runway feels really surreal.
01:03:20 I really did think that I was going to be safe.
01:03:24 I had a concept and I had a passion for it.
01:03:26 - Darla!
01:03:27 - Darla!
01:03:28 - Darla!
01:03:29 - Darla!
01:03:30 - It just feels too early to go.
01:03:34 - Don't cry for me, baby.
01:03:35 - I am going to 'cause I've looked up to you
01:03:37 for a long time.
01:03:38 - Aw, I love you guys.
01:03:40 - You know how much I appreciate you.
01:03:44 - Just one more time.
01:03:45 - Hi.
01:03:48 Mila, I think you're so talented, chic, sophisticated.
01:03:53 This is like, you know, the most feared challenge.
01:03:56 At least there was a little bit of joy in it, you know?
01:03:58 - For sure.
01:03:59 - Well, we'll see you again, I know.
01:04:00 (group cheering)
01:04:02 - It's really hard to leave that room full of awesome people.
01:04:07 I wanted to come back to Project Runway All Stars
01:04:10 not only to push myself and make things again,
01:04:14 but also just to show the world who I am.
01:04:17 I don't really think I had enough time to do that.
01:04:21 - Next on Project Runway All Stars.
01:04:30 - Oh my God.
01:04:32 Long live the king.
01:04:33 - Oh my goodness.
01:04:35 - We want you to create a formal gown fit for royalty.
01:04:40 So we're dividing you up into teams of two.
01:04:42 It is looking medieval costume.
01:04:48 - Army.
01:04:48 - You've been a little icy.
01:04:50 - I am kind of stumped of what to say.
01:04:52 - It feels wilted.
01:04:53 It feels sad and heavy.
01:04:55 (explosion)
01:04:57 [BLANK_AUDIO]
