00:04 Mobility has always been at the heart of the challenges of the Universal Exhibitions
00:08 and at each Expo, its flagship technology.
00:10 The very first line of Paris Metro was one of the attractions of the Paris Expo in 1900.
00:15 Here in Dubai, 121 years later, it is the accessibility and autonomous vehicles that we are talking about.
00:20 We are talking about public transport, which plays a key role in the development of intelligent, sustainable and solidary cities.
00:26 The challenge is to always transport more people in the best conditions of service and security,
00:31 with, of course, more and more durability.
00:33 Mobility is one of the essential elements for a city to live in quality.
00:39 The quality of mobility really shapes the identity of a city.
00:43 Mobility is still something very complex.
00:46 It is not at all made up of a vehicle, a quay and a ticket.
00:50 Vehicles must be at the top level, spaces must be at the top level,
00:56 the correspondence between modes must be the most practical and best organized,
01:01 and digital technology must be able to support people correctly.
01:06 It is really something holistic, with a wise word.
01:10 And there is an important point in terms of attractiveness, which is the sustainable aspect of transport.
01:15 Sustainable does not mean there for eternity, it means that it can evolve, that it can be re-updated.
01:22 And so a city moves, it is built, it develops, and transport must accompany this development.
01:32 The RATP in this situation ultimately has two clients, humans and the planet.
01:39 What we take away from this exhibition at Dubai 2020
01:42 is that mobility is more than ever at the heart of the challenges of city development.
01:46 And with opportunity and sustainability, mobility is one of the three main themes of this Dubai 2020 exhibition.
