00:00 Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
00:26 Today I'm just doing a quick video to show you the difference between a BB cream and
00:30 a CC cream because I know they can get a little bit confusing.
00:33 I'm also going to show you a quick spring makeup look after I'm done.
00:37 For this video I'm going to show you a comparison between the Aveeno BB and CC cream.
00:42 They both have a SPF of 30 which is really high for a drugstore BB cream.
00:47 They have the Active Naturals Total Soy Complex which is unique to Aveeno.
00:51 They're moisturizing, brightening, won't clog pores, and provide a natural coverage.
00:56 The difference between the BB cream is that it helps fade the look of past breakouts.
01:02 So any kind of marks or hyperpigmentation which I personally have an issue with.
01:06 In general, beauty balms will provide long term benefits and on the other hand, a CC
01:11 cream will help with color correcting.
01:14 Specifically, this Aveeno one will color correct redness and it helps with dull skin.
01:20 Now I just wanted to show a side by side comparison of the BB cream and CC cream just to see if
01:26 one or the other may appeal to you.
01:29 There isn't too much difference.
01:31 Both are the same coverage and color.
01:33 They're in fair to light.
01:34 They do come in one other shade which is medium.
01:37 But this is the fair to light shade.
01:39 It matches me perfectly.
01:40 You can tell that they have similar coverage.
01:43 I'm going to blend them into my hand and you can see a slight difference on the right.
01:47 There's a little bit more luminosity.
01:49 Now for a quick spring makeup look.
01:51 Something similar to what I have been wearing to work lately.
01:53 I know I've been getting a lot of questions about that.
01:56 So this is something that I wear on a day to day basis.
01:59 Really quick and easy to do.
02:00 Today I have some past breakouts and some acne scarring on my cheek and chin that I
02:05 want to cover.
02:06 So I decided to use the BB cream.
02:09 So I'm just pumping a little bit into my hand and to do this quite fast, I'm just going
02:13 to rub my fingers together and apply it to my face like so.
02:17 So you don't need a brush or anything.
02:19 Just use your fingers and it's really quick and easy to do.
02:22 The BB cream will help even out my skin tone, fade existing acne marks, and it also provides
02:27 me with an SPF which will protect my face from the sun which is always important.
02:32 I always use an SPF on my face regardless of the season before applying the rest of
02:37 my makeup.
02:44 So this is what my skin looks like after a coat of the BB cream.
02:48 You can still see my freckles and some of my hyperpigmentation showing through.
02:52 So I am going to go in and cover up the spots that need to be covered but overall I don't
02:57 need to put it on the rest of my face.
02:59 So it does provide a really natural looking coverage.
03:02 Now I'm going in with a concealer, just applying that underneath my eyes and also on any areas
03:08 which I feel that I need a little bit more coverage.
03:11 Now I'm just going to lightly powder my face to set everything in place.
03:16 I especially need to do this when I use concealer to ensure that it doesn't move or budge, especially
03:22 under my eyes.
03:23 This will help prevent creasing.
03:26 Now using a spoolie I'm just going to comb through my brows.
03:29 I'm going to quickly fill them in with some brow powder and just using an angled brush
03:34 to do so.
03:39 You can definitely tell the difference between one done brow and one that isn't.
03:44 It just helps frame the face and make everything look better.
03:48 So now I'm just applying some lid primer to my eyelid and this is going to help cancel
03:53 out any veining and also help with blending any eyeshadow.
03:57 Now I'm just taking that lighter brow powder.
03:59 You can use any light brown eyeshadow for this but I'm just using the same brow powder
04:04 to save time and steps.
04:06 Just applying that to my crease to add some dimension and then taking the darker shade
04:10 and adding even more dimension by applying that to my outer corner and upper lash line.
04:17 If I only have five minutes I'll skip eyeliner but if I have a few extra minutes I will use
04:27 a pen eyeliner and go in and add some winged liner to my eyes.
04:31 So that's what I decided to do today for this look.
04:34 And then I'm applying some mascara to my upper lashes.
04:41 Now taking the same eyebrow powder I'm just using a little bit on that angled brush and
04:46 adding some definition to my lower lash line and then going in with the mascara I used
04:50 before and then I'm going to add some bronzer to my cheeks and just warm up my complexion
04:56 a little bit.
05:07 I was going for a coral theme for this look so I'm just taking this really pretty coral
05:12 blush and adding it to the apples of my cheeks to provide a youthful glow and then I'm going
05:18 in with this cream highlight and applying that to the high points of my cheekbones just
05:23 to really bring them out and add some glow to my face.
05:27 So I'm just applying that to the tip of my nose, my cupid's bow, just to add some light
05:31 back into my face and then I'm going in with a coral lipstick and just applying this all
05:36 over my lips.
05:37 I'm not using a lip liner, lip gloss or anything.
05:40 This is the finished look so I hope you guys enjoyed this fresh spring makeup look and
05:45 finally figured out what the difference between a BB cream and a CC cream is.
05:49 I'll see you guys in my next video.
