00:00 Hi everyone! So this is my first tutorial. A few weeks ago I was asked by my future sister-in-law
00:07 for like a makeup look to think of because she was attending a wedding of one of her
00:16 best friends and she told me she was wearing a beautiful red dress and the first thought
00:20 that I had with a red dress is a smoky brown eyes. So I've googled "smoky brown red carpet"
00:27 trying to get more ideas on how to realise this smoky brown and if you do that, if you
00:32 google "smoky brown red carpet" you will find tons and tons of photos of Natalie Portman
00:39 with all different sorts of smoky brown look. I think it's one of her favourites, it really
00:44 really suits her and suits her face, suits her colours. So I found a photo of her on
00:51 Pinterest and I thought this was a fantastic look that could be easily wear for a wedding
00:58 or like a special occasion where you really want to look elegant but you still want your
01:05 eyes being quite strong and defined. Yeah, I hope you guys like it. This is my SSN Miss
01:10 First tutorial so give a thumbs up if you do and let me know what you think and I hope
01:15 you enjoy this tutorial. Ok, so I'm starting priming my eyes and I'm using this primer
01:21 by Bella Pierre. I wrote a review about it on my blog. My blog is called the Cleanser
01:28 Beauty blog and I'm going to leave the link in the info box below. And I put it all over
01:35 my eyelid and trying to cover up all the blemishes on my eyes like the little veins and discolorations
01:44 and stuff like that. This is a really really nice eye primer actually. It goes very smoothly
01:51 and is parabens free which is really good. After that I'm going to take my MAC 239 flat
01:59 brush and I'm going to take this really nice shimmery brown from my Zoeva palette with
02:12 my flat brush. Remove the excess and I'm going to put it all over my eyelid. After that I'm
02:19 going to take a pen brush, in this case I'm using a MAC 219 and I'm going to get this
02:35 nice matte brown here from my Zoeva Nude palette. I'm going to do a sort of a gradient. I'm
02:42 going to do a sort of V shape at the corner of my eye to try to make my eyes look a bit
02:49 longer. I'm going to blend this brown with my Nanshe blending eyeshadow. This is a really
02:56 nice brush actually. Nanshe is a great brand. It's not too expensive and the quality of
03:03 the brush is quite good. Now I want to add a little bit more intensity at the corner
03:07 of my eye because it's still a smoky eye so I'm going to get a darker brown, taking my
03:14 pen brush again and I'm going to get this darker brown from my Nude palette by Zoeva
03:22 and I'm going to go at the corner of my eye but in this case I'm not going to go where
03:33 the other brown is starting but a little bit inside the corner because I don't want to
03:38 overlap the other colour, I just want to add a little bit more intensity. So just a little
03:45 bit more inside and you keep with that V shape. And now I'm going to get my blending brush
04:01 again and blend the colour. Now I'm going to take my flat brush again and I'm going
04:08 to use this lovely eyeshadow, it's one of my favourites actually. It's called Naked
04:28 Lunch and it's by MAC. And now taking my pen brush again with that darker brown, I'm going
04:35 to put it a little bit underneath my eyelashes. I'm going to get my... I'm going to take the
04:54 brush by Nanshe again and I'm going to take the black pigment from my Storm palette, which
05:01 is really dark, just a tiny little bit, it's really dark black. It's really pigmented,
05:08 it's amazing. I'm going to just draw a little tiny black line along my eyelashes, just to
05:23 give a little bit of definition. And I'm going to get the Honeycomb colour from my Storm
05:30 palette again and I'm going to put it a little bit at the corner of the eye because I've
05:35 noticed that she's got a little bit of gold at the corner of the eye and underneath the
05:39 eye. I think it's really pretty and give a little bit more light to the whole look. And
05:46 I'm going to add a softer eyeshadow and in this case it's a lovely Cappuccino from my
05:53 Storm palette again. And I'm going to use my larger shade of brown from Nanshe. This
06:15 is a really nice brush. I mean, it's a shaded brush and I usually use it in my eye crease
06:20 because it goes perfectly. And adding a bit of a warmer colour is going to warm up the
06:26 whole entire look. And now last step, and this is optional, I'm going to use my Scandalized
06:40 Waterproof Eye Pencil in Nude by Rimma. This is one of my favourite makeup products ever.
06:47 And I'm going to put it on my waterline. If you want a more intense, darker look, you
06:54 can use a black eye pencil. And obviously the effect is going to be really different.
07:01 Okay now it's time to do the base and it's something that I always do afterwards if I'm
07:05 doing a smokey eye. If I know that I'm going to use a lot of pigments and they're going
07:10 to fall on your face. So I'm going to use as a foundation, I already put moisturiser
07:15 on. I'm going to use my Healthy Mix by Bourjois. It's one of my favourite. It's my everyday
07:21 foundation and I'm going to put it with my blending brush. Just put a little bit in the
07:29 centre of my face and don't forget your neck. So once I'm happy with my foundation, I'm
07:58 going to cover my dark circle and one of my favourite products is a discorrector in Light
08:05 to Medium Bits by Bobbi Brown. And I'm going to put a little bit near my nose where I got
08:13 a bit of blemishes and redness and around my lips. I'm going to use a bit of bronzer.
08:27 This is Natural Bronze by Rimmel and it's Sun Glow number 025. And then I'm going to
08:54 use a bit of this blush by Deborah Milano. This is number 04. Now I'm going to curl my
09:01 eyelashes and then put a nice layer of mascara on. I'm going to curl my lashes and then put
09:19 a bit of mascara on. I'm going to use my Volume Lash Scandalize. I'm going to put a
09:26 bit of mascara on. I'm going to curl my lashes and then put a bit of mascara on. I'm going
09:33 to curl my lashes and then put a bit of mascara on. I'm going to curl my lashes and then put
09:40 a bit of mascara on. Now I want to keep my eyes open so I'm going to put a bit of mascara
09:47 on. Now I want to keep my lips a nude colour because the eyes are quite intense and I'm
10:13 going to use the Revlon Krayon Ease number 001 Honey Dutch. I'm going to put a bit of
10:20 mascara on. So guys, this is my final look. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I really
10:49 enjoyed doing it and I really like this smoky brown. I think it's a quite nice, simple smoky
10:54 brown to do and I like the fact that the eyes are still really intense and the whole face
10:59 got a nice glow and I think it's perfect to go for a wedding, to attend a wedding. So
11:04 I hope you like it. Leave a thumbs up if you do or just leave me a comment, let me know
11:08 what you think. Every comment and criticism are welcome. It's my first video so there's
11:13 still a lot to learn. But yeah, let me know what you think and if you want to have a look
11:17 at my website that is www.elainegociamerica.com and if you want to have a look at my blog
11:23 that is called the Claps Beauty Blog and I'm going to leave the link in the info box below.
11:29 And that's it for now. Hope to see you soon. Bye! Thanks for watching!
