Black Renaissance - album Body, mind and spirit 1977

  • anno scorso
Soul-jazz masterpiece with plenty of myth and magic. The album was recorded on Martin Luther King's day in 1976, as a celebration of King's memory during a one-shot improvised session, including and audience of friends and industry people. Afro centric spiritual jazz in a Strata East-like style, with voices singing and speaking, with hints of modal and rap. The album was originally released for the Japanese market only.
