Creamline sweeps Chery, seizes bronze
Creamline seized the bronze medal after beating Chery Tiggo, 25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, in Game Two and sweeping their best-of-three battle for bronze series on Tuesday in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
Jia De Guzman tossed 26 excellent sets laced with four points to lead the Cool Smashers, who might have failed in their Grand Slam bid but made the podium for the 10th straight conference.
Creamline erased a five-point deficit and went on to lead by five, 24-19, following a Jeanette Panaga quick attack. Chery saved two match points before Jema Galanza finished the series with a kill.
