Foxies take down Highrisers in 5 sets for first win

The Farm Fresh Foxies took their first-ever win in the PVL 2024 Reinforced Conference after a tough five-set match over the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 25-22, 35-37, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Colombian hitter Yeny Murillo fired 29 points on 26 attacks, two blocks, and an ace to lead the Foxies. Farm Fresh logged a 1-2 win-loss card, while the Galeries remained winless at 0-3.

00:00You know, we have been working really hard, and we are trying to get in rhythm with each other, and I feel that my team needed this win, because my team needs motivation to keep pushing and keep pushing harder, so my team was my first motivation to keep pushing until the end and keep fighting.
00:23When I came here, I came with my mind open to learn as much as I could, and when we started, I had a lot of hope for my team, and I wanted to see how we work together as a team, and it was hard to lose the two first games.
00:41You know, they were really good teams against good play, and I felt that we did a great job, and even though we couldn't reach that level, and now we work until we get it. Finally, we're finished.
