00:00More than 400 towns and villages were declared areas of concern in the 2025 election of the Commission on Elections.

00:0638 of those are in the red category or the most serious areas of security.

00:13Those are the towns of Jones and Makunakun in Isabela, Baleno and Masbate City in Masbate,

00:19Kalinog, Iloilo, Santa Margarita, Samar, and 32 places in the Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

00:26177 are in the orange category or places with serious threats from armed groups.

00:32Almost 50 of those towns are in the Bicol Region.

00:3622 are in BARMM, 17 in Caraga.

00:39188 are in the yellow category or those with election-related incidents in the past two elections

00:47or those with intense political conflicts in the area.

00:51The yellow category is the largest in the area in Northern Mindanao with 22.

00:56Next is the Ilocos Region with 11 and the Buangap Peninsula with 18.

01:02The remaining places in the country are in the green category or those with no security threats.

01:07The other two are in the Boe Meto Manila and Davao Region.

01:11When the Commission will decide, it is possible for those categories to change as the election of 2025 approaches.

01:20Not because you see your area is in the red, you should be afraid.

01:24In our experience, the green suddenly becomes yellow.

01:29Suddenly, from green, it jumps to red.

01:32Sometimes, in the red, during the election or during the campaign period, the red suddenly becomes green.

01:40Again, this is a good indication that our green is too high and the red category is too low.
