Kabengele signed a two way contract after the NBA summer league. The 24-year-old big man caught attention of the team and fans in Las Vegas, averaging 14.8 PTS, 8.2 REBS, and 2.2 BLKS over five games.
With players on two-way contracts being limited to 45 games, the expectations for Kabengele should to be to spend most of his time in the G-league. Although, the Celtics still lack big man depth, as they yet to sign anyone in NBA free agency or use a TPE to fill the void behind Rob Williams that was left after trading Daniel Theis for Malcolm Brogdon.
