Sancho of Manchester United and former Charlton Athletic players Gomez and Lookman will appear in a new docuseries on South London football.
A new three-part docuseries on South London's thriving football talent pool will air later this month.
Some of the players that have gone on to play at the top level include Jadon Sancho, Eberechi Eze, Joe Gomez, Tammy Abraham, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Ademola Lookman, and Michail Antonio.
Sancho, who was born in Camberwell and raised in Kennington, is one of the contributors of South Of The River, which is executive produced by Rio Ferdinand of Peckham.
Sancho dazzled for Borussia Dortmund before joining Manchester United in a £73 million deal in July.
He intends to speak about his journey from South London to the world of professional football in Europe.
Ferdinand, who is now a pundit, joined Leeds United for £18 million in 2000, setting a British transfer record and making him the most expensive defender in the world at the time.
He went on to win the Champions League and six Premier League titles with Manchester United, as well as 81 caps for the Three Lions.
"It's fantastic that the London neighborhood where I grew up is receiving the accolades it deserves — it's a talent factory unlike any other," Ferdinand added.
"You'll hear from myself and many others who, despite all odds, have had the good fortune to represent South London in some of the world's most prestigious clubs and events."
"South Of The River illuminates what makes our location unique, as well as the challenges that must be solved, while also highlighting the next generation of people who are daring to dream by following in our footsteps." "I'm proud to call South Of The River my home."
In August, Antonio, a former Tooting & Mitcham winger, became West Ham's leading scorer in the Premier League.
Wan Bissaka became the most expensive full-back in history when he joined Manchester United for £50 million in 2019.
In the summer of 2015, Liverpool paid £3.5 million for Gomez, an extraordinary talent who came into Charlton's first-team at the age of 17.
With the Merseysiders, the Catford-born centre-back has won the Premier League and Champions League, as well as the European Championship with England U17s.
Lookman joined the Addicks from Sunday league football and has since played for Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City.
Abraham, a Camberwell native, came up through Chelsea's youth ranks and is a two-time Champions League winner. In August, Roma is said to have spent £34 million for him.
Eze, a Greenwich native, has recovered from being released by Millwall in 2016 to become one of the best offensive players in the Championship.
In August 2020, Crystal Palace paid £17 million for his services at QPR.
