Hobbs & Shaw 2 will be the "antithesis" of Fast & Furious, according to Dwayne Johnson.

In addition, the actor explained his new approach to future films.

In a new interview, actor Dwayne Johnson said that he has pitched a Hobbs & Shaw sequel that will be "the polar opposite of what Fast and Furious movies normally are."

Johnson's statements in a SiriusXM interview (transcribed by Collider) had less to do with his now-resolved feud with star Vin Diesel and more to do with a desire to break away from the Fast franchise's several sequels.

"When it comes to Hobbs & Shaw, I had an idea," Johnson explained. "They all loved it when I pitched it [to the creative team and Universal Studios]... You watch a man go off into the sunset without saying anything."

Johnson didn't go into story details, but said there's a "potential" with the Hobbs franchise to "go against the grain and upset things a little bit." Johnson then doubled down on the idea's potential, predicting that fans will applaud them for putting it into action in this way.

Johnson also said in the interview that he now evaluates initiatives based on whether they have the ability to "push all other projects to the side," which he refers to as "the Moses effect."

For those keeping track at home, Red Notice, Black Adam, and Jungle Cruise all had the Moses effect, according to Johnson.

This year's DC FanDome opened off with an amazing first look at the Black Adam film, which is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022--and based on that footage, it's hard to dispute with Johnson's theory.
