BRIGHTON, MA -- Celtics Head Coach Ime Udoka spoke to the media following the team's practice on Monday.

The Celtics waived Forward Jabari Parker Sunday clearing the way to sign free agent guard Brodric Thomas to a two-way contract Monday morning. Thomas had stops with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavilers last season. Coach Udoka reacted to the signing.

"A guy that we feel has some upside and potential coming from a smaller school. We like his grind, we like his story.... someone we'll just keep an eye on for the future."

Udoka gave an update on Jaylen Brown and Al Horford who have been in health and safety protocols since testing positive for coronavirus.

"It's a discussion we're gonna have. We like to get somebody reps instead of throwing them into a game, being out all that time. Something we traditionally do not do..." Udoka said about Brown and Horford.
