Next week, July 30th at It's Mime Time!: Katja Grahl with her piece "Pi RoT".
Katja Grahl studied mime with Jörg Brennecke at the Training Centre for Mime and Pantomime in Berlin. Her trademark is the combination of Varité-influenced design with Decroux's physical theatre of physical precision. And in this piece, too, we can enjoy this synthesis.
During the past year, she was able to relaunch the show "The Magic of Pierrot" with several performances with the Ensemble Modern Mimes. At the same time, she has worked on several solo pieces and programs. "Pi RoT" is one of last year's works. Here, too, the classical and tragic charcter of Pierrot was and is the inspiration.
Look forward to an abstract-classical piece next week at It's Mime Time!
