Announcement - JOMI
Michael Kreutzer, JOMI, is a worldwide known and acknowledged pantomime artist from Germany. Next Friday, 31.07.20, we will show "JOMI - Portrait of an Artist".
As a student of Marcel Marceau, Jacques Lecoq and Didier Mouturat, he is a representative of the French school of pantomime. Since 1981 he has been on stage as a solo artist for over 40 years. In 1988 he initiated the international pantomime festival in Saarland. For him as a deaf artist silence has a special meaning, for him pantomime is "the art of silence".
In his documentary (2019) "JOMI - Silent but not Speechless" ("JOMI - lautlos, aber nicht sprachlos") Sebastian Voltmer shows the ups and downs of his life and accompanies JOMI during his performances in different countries worldwide. Next Friday we are allowed to show excerpts from this impressive documentary. "JOMI - Portrait of an Artist" gives an insight into the artistic life of a very fascinating pantomime artists of our time.
