GST Reduced Tax Rates, Doubled Taxpayer Base To 1.24 cr - Finance Ministry || Oneindia Telugu

"GST has reduced the rate at which people have to pay tax. The revenue neutral rate as per the RNR Committee was 15.3 per cent. Compared to this, the weighted GST rate at present, according to the RBI, is only 11.6 per cent," the ministry said.

వస్తు సేవల పన్ను(GST) వ్యవస్థను ప్రవేశపెట్టడంతో పన్ను భారం తగ్గిందని, దీంతో సరళతర పన్ను వ్యవస్థలో పన్నులు చెల్లించే వారి సంఖ్య దాదాపు రెట్టింపై 1.24 కోట్లకు పెరిగిందని ఆర్థికమంత్రిత్వ శాఖ సోమవారం తెలిపింది. మాజీ ఆర్థికమంత్రి అరుణ్ జైట్లీ మొదటి వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా ఆర్థిక శాఖ ట్వీట్స్ చేసింది.
