Former finance minister Lim Guan Eng pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Friday (Aug 7) to a charge of soliciting a bribe related to the controversial RM6.3bil Penang undersea tunnel project.
He was accused of requesting 10% of the profits from Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd senior executive director, Datuk Zarul Ahmad Zulkifli, as a bribe in order to get the contract for the project.
