Restore and repair zippo lighter liquid refill and introduce new flint. Today a relatively new lighter has been restored with a keyhole driving the beautiful lady. This lighter zippo is not very old. A YouTube subscriber sent it to me to get it back. He wrote that he had been put in the water outside his house for some time now and wanted to challenge me to do the restoration and make it work again. I accepted the challenge. The restoration process I've started with the parts relief with wd40 rust remover. The lighter zippo bag is hung inside the zippo bottom case. It wasn't just rust, someone/something definitely ran over it. When I broke up, I separated all the parts and cleaned them all in ways that I found necessary for this restoration. I have chosen sand on metal impulse and a lighter case grinding the outer hand lighter with 1500 gravel sheet to get rid of the paint and get this beautiful copper visible again. I have loaded the sand cleaning machine with glass beads to achieve perfect results when sanding on cast iron. I only use 80 pounds of pressure on the air compressor when the sandbox.
