Amla Pickle – Usirikaya avakaya (ఉసిరి ఆవకాయ పచ్చడి )
Amla pickle is prepared with Amla and Mustard and fenugreek powder and can be good for 2-3 months. Try this Pickle,.
Ingredients
Big Amla – ½ Kg
Red Chilli Powder
Salt – 50 Grams (Approx)
Fenugreek Seeds
Mustard Seeds
Hing powder
Method
Step 1
Wipe all the amla’s with a clean cotton cloth and to a bowl and make cuts longitudinally on the side lines on the amla Make same cuts to all the amla’s
Step 2
Turn on the stove and place the Kadai on the stove and heat, add the fenugreek seeds and fry for few seconds. Add mustard seeds and fry for few seconds (approx 2 minutes in a low flame) add same to mixer jar and grind like fine powder.
Step 3
Place a deep kadai add sesame oil and heat add amla’s and fry for 5 minutes and turn of the gas and let them cool for 5 minutes. Add red chilli powder, Salt, and grinded powder of fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds, Mix well.
Step 4
Take seasoning pan, add oil and fry for few seconds (don’t burn them) Add the above seasoning mixture to the amla pickle and mix well (make sure all the amla’s are thoroughly mixes with the masala mixture.
Step 5
Take a pickle jar and add the above pickle to it That’s all you Simple Amla Pickle is ready to store and it can be stored up to one year.
