Raiders Legend Willie Brown
Dies at Age 78 According to 'USA Today,'
his death was confirmed
on Tuesday by Raiders
team owner Mark Davis. The legendary cornerback played
16 seasons in the NFL, 12 of which
were with the Raiders. He was inducted into the
Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984. Hall of Fame president and CEO David Baker,

in the 204 games of his career
and also scored two touchdowns. He helped the Raiders make it to
three AFL chamipionships, six AFC
Championships and two Super Bowls. Brown is best known for intercepting a pass
from Vikings quarterback Fran Tarkenton
in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XI. He ran 75 yards to
make the touchdown. He also served as Raiders defensive
backs coach from 1979-1988. His cause of death has
not yet been revealed.
