...les chevreaux jouent à faire la course,
le brocard roux nage dans la mer de blés blonds,
deux geais les dénoncent haut et fort.
Vient l'heure des bulles d'air chaud qui roulent dans le clote,
le geai affûte encore, lui aussi, comme moi...

..the kids chamois are playing the race,
the red roe deer is swimming in the sea of blond wheats,
two jays denounce them loud and clear.
Come the hour of hot air bubbles that roll in the meadow,
the jay remains to watch, too, like me...
