Moong Dal Vada is an easy and quick fritter or pakora recipe made with grounded and soaked yellow moong dal lentils mixed with spices and herbs. These vadas are ideal evening snack recipe which tastes great with a cup of tea or can also be served as a side dish to lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS:
Green Moong dal - 1/4 kg
Rice - 1 tsp
Garlic Pods - 3
Green chilies -3
Onion -1/2 finely chopped
2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves
Salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Ingredients For Onion Chutney:
Onions - 2
Garlic Pods - 2
Dry Red Chillies- 3
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind (soaked)
Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
1.firstly, in a large bowl, soak 1 cup moong dal and add 1 tsp rice for 4 hours.
2. Drain off the water and blend to smooth paste adding cumin seeds, coriander, and garlic pods.
3. Transfer the prepared moong dal batter into a bowl.
add in 3 tbsp rice flour for crispy vada. add more rice flour if required to get a thick batter.
4. Also, add chopped onions and ½ tsp salt. mix well.
5. Now dip your hand in the water, and start dropping them one by one to hot oil.
6. keep the flame in lower to medium stir occasionally.
also, fry the vada till they turn golden brown.
7. Drain off the vada on to kitchen towel to absorb oil.
8. Finally, serve moong dal vada with #OnionChutney /coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
Method For Onion Chutney:
1. Into the mixer, add chopped onions, 2 garlic pods, dry red chilies, cumin seeds, soaked tamarind, salt. Let's grind it.
